Noob question here but.....
What does that Disease damage actually do? I picked one up from a merchant in Qeynos for my lev 12 Rogue and have not seen any special effect other than the 5 damage. Will I occasionally disease mobs for 2dmg per tick? Am I not getting it because my 1HS sucks?
Heh, I'm about 5 days late on this page, but if you check your thread at the safehouse, you'll find out that you got an answer faster there, than here. :P I'm pretty sure I explained it well enough...

The useable classes on this whip have been changed recently to be war/rog only. Sucks since my kitty shaman used this to pretend to be a beastlord, not that most people didn't think he was a beastlord anyway.

I looted this in Paludal today and is says its a 1H Slash, not a 1H Blunt.
The funny thing is i can use it as a Beatstlord, beastlords cant use 1H Slash can they?

Anybody can use 1hs... if there's a weapon that allows you to use it, you just can't gain skill in it is all.
How cool would it be if they had some graphics of some better looking whips?

not to split hairs and such... but a whip thats 1hb?
Its covered in fungus you think it would slash or be blunt? Blunt makes more sense to me...../shrugs

A sutured(sp?) whip is piercing. That's been around since EQ came out.
Jarnin is talking about the DE newbie rogue quest... it's been in there a helllllla long time... You need to go to freeport and kill some chick... then... something else... I'm not quite sure of the exact details, but the quest results in a 1hp (1-handed piercing) whip.

You mean serated whip? I believe its called a serated bone dirk, but just looks like a whip.
They probably just wanted Beastlords to be able to use whips. It's gotta take something to keep all those tigers and alligators in line. ^_^ \/
