OMG, I about died laughing when someone offered me these in trade for my Gauntlets of the Black. I currently wear CC Gauntlets and no way would I give up the extra 12ac 7str and 25mana for these sorry wanna be's. Hope they do something to fix the risk for reward in this zone soon.

Perhaps once Vex Thal is opened we'll find a NPC that says "Bring me a Shojen Gauntlets and 3 Luclinite" ala ToV/Kael/Thurg quest armors

The ToV/Kael/Thurg armor was all no drop without stats... if this really was for a quest in Vex Thal, you can imagine some of the twinking that would be going on :P I realize that you can MQ the ToV/Kael/Thurg armor, but not making this no drop would just make it that much easier. /shrug

At 53 I wear RE or JBone gloves... soon to get CC gaunts. These are terrible! I honestly think there must be some ***** up. I mean these plains should have much better equip. Probably just around PoF/PoH gear.
Agreed. I think this is one of those instances where one hand doesnt know what the others doing, because whoever designed a lot of this armor has a very poor idea of class and item balance. Wait, I just thought of a great use for this armor. You could give it to the Priest of Discord so he can be cool, since it probably isnt much to be sold to twinks because of the pre lvl 50 stat reduction.
Ouch these stats are bad for the risk vs reward.
Um correct me if I'm wrong but at 50, I'm certain that clerics (the ones I know) and most likely shammys too, have hand armor with quite a bit more than 1 wis. It seems like a waste of time to kill this stuff this hard to me. Of course, I'm only a lvl 38 ranger, so I have no idea what I'm talkin about. :)
You aren't wrong, they do have better wis. Now, they don't always need wis on their items. But there isn't any special part about these to make them worth more than that item with better wis...... seems like a worthless drop to me, and it will likely rot frequently.

this zone is seriously out of balance. these mobs have 50-100k and have no drop items that most 30s would not wear!

or pick up some gauntlets of the black, 15ac, 4str 3 wis. Though Shammies cant wear them.
Risk VS Reward.....hmm i dont play a shammy or cleric, but even as a ranger i'd wear better at lvl 50+ as it recomends.
