set price over 1 million
# Nov 25 2008 at 12:18 PM Rating: Decent
to set a price over 1 million pp, do a search on yer hard drive for .ini files

find the file in your everquest folder called BZR_xxx.ini where xxx = character name and server

open the file, change the price (item name not displayed only number you need to know which thing is which)

log out and back in, and there you go
Can I carry more than One?

If I set up as Trader, can I carry more than one of these to expand my for sale inventory?

Yes, you can carry as many as you can hold, so you can have up to 80 items for sale at 1 time.

Correction 78 unless you want to get 'you are out of food and water' message. Other wise you are correct. I also created a trader char that will never get exp. When i have RL things to do i just set up my trader and walk away. Saves room on my other chars. So any of you on Kane Bayle and see Aenton come and BUY, BUY, BUY.

You don't get the out of food and water message, nor do you consume food and water, when in trader mode.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 29 2004 at 8:33 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) nope you do consume food and water and get the messages as well as the ill effects of no food/water came back after 8 hours with no stamina

You only comsume food & water in the bazaar if you are not in /TRADER mode and sitting/standing on the trader stalls.
My trader character sells food items so if this weren't the case I'd come back to find she'd eaten into the profits, which she doesn't :)

and if needed just put food & water in first two slots in first bag..you will consume those if you are running around the bazaar. and people will buy the food and water also ...so price them.. remember the whole concept of the bazaar is "Laziness"

# Aug 25 2002 at 2:08 AM Rating: Decent
Can I put containers in this? Say I want to sell tailored bags or quivers - is it possible to place that item within this type of bag?

Just wondering as I am getting ready to sell some things.

Thanks,

RE: just wondering
# Jan 17 2004 at 3:09 PM Rating: Decent
There is a NPC name caerlyna, who will trade bags for tokens, and back again, so that you may sell these in trader mode. IE, a hand made backpack is givin to her, she gives you a token. You place the token in your trader satchel. You sell the token. The buyer goes to caerlyna and hands her the token. She hands the hand made backpack to your buyer.

So yes, bags and quivers can now be sold in trader mode.

For those who can travel to Velius, there is a container sold by the gnomes at the Northern end of Iceclad (where you get off the boat) called a Deluxe Toolbox. 10 slots, Giant Capacity, 3.0 wt, cost about 2p each.

What I did was but all my good bags and as much as I could in the bank and headed to velius with 20p and a few regular backpacks of stuff I couldn't fit in the bank. When I got to the merchant, I bought 8 of the deluxe toolboxes. Had to buy a couple, transfer items from my backpacks, and sell the empty backpacks to do it. Then, when I got back to the bank I swapped it all around to fill the bank with 8 10-slot, giant capacity containers for the coast of about 14p and a boat trip.

Sorry Tailors :(

buy mixing bowls instead. they are 10 slot, giant capacity, weigh 0.4 stone and cost 1 silver. they sell back at 1 silver when you don't need them anymore and can be purchased in the PoK or crafted.

Thats why these trader's bags were put in, to allow you more space in the bank instead of having to buy tons of tailored backpacks. Notice that the deluxe toolkit cost more to buy and requires you to go to velious for them. The bazaar is alot easier to get to and the bags only cost around 1.1 pp to 1.6 pp depending on your chr. The tailored backpack is still preferable over the toolkit because it is also 3 wgt but gives also a 10% reduction in weight.
I still have a ton of deluxe sewing kits too that basically gives me the same room, I keep some of these in the bank but also use them for sewing.

A Deluxe Toolbox can be bought in the Plane of Knowledge also. Behind the bank there is a larger building with several hallways and adjoining rooms, in one of the small rooms there is a Gnome that sells a number of tinkering supplies including the Deluxe Toolbox (10 slots, GIANT capacity). I would highly recommend the Deluxe Toolbox over this item any day -- 25 pounds is a little too impractical except for banking.

Plus the trader satchel is no drop, the deluxe toolbox is not. makes transfers between characters much easier to have bags that can transfer too.
Weight
# Feb 14 2002 at 8:21 AM Rating: Decent
As a side note, weight has no relevance in the Bazaar. Gravity must be weird in the centre of the moon.

Try loading up with these bags; it'll say you're encumbered, but your agility and movement won't be affected.

Well Let's see It looks like we are one step closer to the bazaar being functional. I hope it becomes THE place to sell Items. No auctioning. that would kill zone with lag. Just use a /command to set charter as vendor and then /set price for items. and walkaway....Maybe have a ini file for things you'll buy and the price...God talk about letting me make some money hehe I work Primetime so I could leave a vendor on and go to work and comehome and be ready to play....

Anyway. Im glad to see progress....
maybe not
# Feb 03 2002 at 2:00 AM Rating: Default
OK so if items put in these bags are the ones put up for auction, maybe not a good idea to put them in your bank, or people will be trying to buy all the stuff your trying to put away :)

The way that i heard the bazzar was going to work, was that anyone with a perticular item in thier invetory, can be inspected, and have thier bags and ivetory slots looked at too, which would save masive time on putting bags of goods in the trade window when your selling items, I would think that this box is probaly the item that lets people look at you invetory.
Im not sure though, it was just a rumor i heard
what??
# Jan 30 2002 at 10:29 PM Rating: Default
sorry to burst any bubbles but in all honesty why keep bags in the bank with wt reduction after all its in the bank and bankers never get encumbered. who cares if you have 10% wt rdc. bags in bank. i keep deluxe tool boxes, they have 10 slots hold giant items and get this add no wt to the char cause none of the junk is on it. 25wt aint nothing just means "this aint a monk item". bp off vindi weighs 25 and cloak of maelstrom is 20wt as well as the reaver off statue is 25wt. wt isnt an issue for some classes, so toting a bag like this around isnt too much trouble considering i can store more suits of armor or wepons in it and have no more wt added
RE: what??
# Jan 31 2002 at 9:04 AM Rating: Decent
Ummm... there's no weight reduction on this bag. Look again =)

What sucks is I had just made a bunch of trips to Iceclad to to buy Deluxe Tool Kits for the banks of my twinks the week before they put these back in. Ugh. Oh well.

Hope they get the bazaar feature working soon.
Good Bank Bags, too
# Jan 30 2002 at 6:54 PM Rating: Decent
If they are for the Bazaar, great. But they were cheap, have 10 slots and hold up to Giant items. They are No Drop and weigh 25 stone, so are not intended to be carried very far. But for a bank bag they are great. And IF they get the Bazaar going, so much the better.

I heard about a traders bag of some sort that would be coming out when the bazaar goes live. For those who don't know supposingly Verant is going to make it so that you can set up shop in the bazaar and sell your stuff off as if you were a merchant. Saves the yelling across the zones in /auction.

Don't know exactly how it would work but from what I heard you would put your goods in the bag then click on the item and add in the info. People could do searches when entering the bazaar and see who's selling what for what class in what price range etc...

Then you could go afk for a while and hope people will buy your goods. I'm hoping these Trader's Sachels are them because that means the bazaar is ready to go active soon.

As for now, as soon as I saw the bags for sale at the vendor I bought 8 of them and put them in the bank. They costed me a little over 1pp each, so it was around 10pp for all of them.

For those of you that don't know, This bag is intended for putting stuff in to sell in the bazaar. The guy that sells these in the bazaar has been bugged since the Luclin release. Hopefully, since they fixed that in the last big patch, this means that the Baazar system will be brought online soon!!!!

I had the original Trader's Satchel before the bugged the vendor. The bag use to be 10 slots, 0 wt reduction, weighs 0, holds giant sized items but costed 1 cp(no lie). They were changed later anyway =/
bank stashing
# Jan 30 2002 at 5:24 PM Rating: Decent
10 slot giant sized, looks like an easy way to max out your bank stash, aside from leaving a slot open for any extra weird containers, i can sell off my 10 slot 10 reduc packs i have in there now, hell 25 weight i sure as hell won't be carrying it off with me to fight.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 30 2002 at 5:06 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This must've been made to hold every item you can think of, weighing 25 since coin doesnt do anything to your weight there
