Yeah they've very much been slacking on bows for a long time both looks and aug wise. Thanks for posting a screenshot though. Nice to actually see stuff in the game cause you can't tell anything from those little maketplace icons.

Sony decided to give me a few more SC points, so I wound up with enough to buy this ornament. The teensy icon in /microtransactionbyanyothernameisjustasmuchasellout... er... /marketplace... made it look pretty neat, and looked better than the one other bow graphic available, so I picked it up.
The image above gives a pretty good representation of the bow under any given frame. In other words, you don't have a bow, you have a bowstaff. You wave the bowstaff, and things die. No bend, no flex, no animation, no string. Wave bowstaff. Arrow graphic flies. Damage. Repeat.
I'm very disappointed.
