2 Nets =
# Jun 24 2008 at 7:15 AM Rating: Decent
2 Nets = 1 mold = 1 (ONE) bracer. If you want 2 bracers, you need a total of 4 nets.

I just finished my set of Ro Armor, and all quests are functioning as of 05/24/08
More than just the armour

I have started on my Ro armour quest, and it sure is involved. It is taking me a while to even get my first piece as I am having to build up various factions. However, I like this quest for the places that it takes me. If it wasn't for this quest I wouldn't be going to some of the places that I am now, and this is what I think makes EQ exciting. Without this quest, I would have never journey to Lake Rathe and I would have never built up my swimming skill to 160. I would have never ventured to The Warrens to build up my Deepwater Knights faction and would have never found some nice low level lore drops. The quest adds variety to the game and the feeling of having accomplished the quest and getting a full set of Ro armour is truly satisifying. If anyone wants to do the quest, go for it.
Wrist slot
# Feb 20 2002 at 3:27 AM Rating: Decent
Looking at possible wrist slot items, I would say this is definately a nice wrist for the price and/or effort.

The next wrist that is worth having (has a decent AC and MR) is worth 2k or more.

So Im happy to wear one of these.

What is a good price?
# Dec 14 2001 at 12:37 PM Rating: Decent
The average price listed here is about 170pp, but EQprices.com lists it for 970pp. That's a pretty big difference. Which is closer? Or is it somewhere in between? I have one I'd like to sell, so any help of prices to ask, where I'm most likely to sell on Fennin Ro, etc. Thanks.

Here's a hint for you, eqprices.com is seriously screwed when it comes to listing prices, particularly on items that are a little uncommon, as not many people put in prices for these on that site, they are averaging their prices out from old data.

This site is much closer to the real prices, I usually find that about 80% of the price noted here is what they sell items for on Cazic Thule. :)

Here is something to think on as well for prices of Ro Armor just to get the two Platinum Bars that are required, Cost, for my Enchanter Friend, 105platinum Each. Take that times two and you got over 200plat in ENCHANTED Platinum alone. I cant see selling for a loss maybe break even but not a loss. would give em to me Guild mates first.

MR maybe

Only reason I can think of for this is possibly for yer Resist kit but I'm sure Blue Diamond is better and probably many other things for AC.

Small races can't wear a Hero :( (But they can get them and sell them to Medium races! heh)

what is the point?

What is the point, better to get a hero bracer and a bracer of scavenging than thi scrap.....

Bah, you are truly stupid.

Bracer of scavenging is AC +9 STA +5 DEX +5. Only an idiot would rather have DEX and STA over MR.

Hero Bracer is AC +9 STR +10 vsPoison +5 vsDisease +5. Granted, the STR on Hero is nice, but the other saves are pretty meaningless. You've obviously never gone on a high-end raid before. Never once have I heard of a raid that said you had to have minimum 100 unbuffed vsPoison or vsDisease. However, there are raids aplenty that require minimum 100 vsMagic.

Yes, it is more difficult to obtain the Ro bracers than your suggestion, but any Paladin who has done the faction work to do one of the quests will not have any difficulty completing any of the others. And of all the Ro quests, this is probably one of the easiest to complete on your own. Paladins - do this quest and all the Ro quests. Not only do you get some good mid-level gear, but you also are forced to get great faction with many different locales, which will help you with other quests down the road. Plus you get to learn and experience a number of unique zones, that you probably would not otherwise visit.

There are some items a pally just has to earn The armour of Ro is one of those items. Even if you dont wer it in combat it sure looks great and feels awesome to earn :) but sure, if you want to go BUY stuff go for it ... it's a personal decision

Since that post I have gone and completed several of my quests. The armour of Ro is truly a nice suit for the mid-lvl Pally. Wear it with pride.
