Well, these boots have better AC AND have WIS on them, ever done a search on boots for beastlords that have wis on them? Either it takes a lvl 50 to get them or they're pretty darn expensive. 10str is impressive, but a VERY minor stat to a beastlord. I'd take these boots anyday.

I don't know about you, but I thought Beastlords were a Shaman/Monk hybrid... which means that Strength is important because you will be MELEEING! *sigh* I haven't gotten my beastlord up past level 30 (heck the highest one I have is lvl 13), but a friend of a friend has a lvl 60, and I've been told that melee is still an important aspect of the character the higher you go. I'd rather believe someone I know, than someone on the boards..

Oh and on the boots, these are a nice balance. (I guess) Although the HP, mana, and saveC is something to laugh at.

I agree with your high-level friend, mostly. Most raids that I've been on won't allow the use of pets, and your melee abilities will come into use. With the changes in pet aggro, I'm hoping that more raids will allow pets, because that's where at least half of my damage output comes from when I'm soloing! By denying me my pet, the raid leader is forcing me into a minor melee damage role.

Uh, Vahkur you really need to rethink things. The only requirement any of the guilds I have or am currently associated with require for pet usage is the Pet Discipline AA, which has been out a while.

As for the quality of these boots? There are better out there if you look around for not a lot of plat or that could be dropped by a level 40 group.
Alternative Boots

I am a little dissapointed in these new Luclin armour quests, however I'm prolly gonna go some of them just because I can, and it's there. These boots are also disapointing, for my BST I have Footpads of the Tiger, which at the level you should be to attemp this quest, should not be impossible to obtain. Stats are something like 6ac 10str 5agi 15hp 0.1wt MNK BST only all races. They drop off the tiger god in Stonebrunt Mountains (?Old Ghostback?) who can actually drop multiple footpads (Dropped 3 when I was in zone, the 2 ppl who killed him got one each and I got the other one [lucky me!]). He is level 45 I believe (note: when I was in SBM, there was at least one "god" up at a time, and I'm not sure if this is still the case). PC i get on the footpads is somewhere around 2k, but I have seen them sell for more. Another alternative is the Coterie General Boots which drop of a Coterie General (surprise surprise), in Tenebrous Mountains (kinda brutal IMO).

Just my 2cp
