Ran into the Bandit Lord yesterday. He dropped the bracer of scavenging (known loot)which I happily passed down to my new rogue. Good stats for a non-quested piece of gear from an old zone.
JUST READ ABOUT ZONING IN FROM OT AND FOLLOWING PATH TO LITTLE RUINS ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE. CLEARED OUT 4 TIMES AND ON THE 5TH HE POPPED , DROPPED BRACER DARKBLUE TO A 40 NECRO .
Do you think I could own the Bandit Lord and the whole camp at lvl 41? I'm a ranger if that makes any difference... My friend hunted him as a lvl 40.. But hes also a druid... I mean I know I could own the BL... But what about the adds? I have about 13-1400 HP... Any info would help!
Tazain Trailrunner <Ring of Faith> Outrider of Tunare!
My level 30 Iksar monk took him down last night. I had to feign pull him away from his exile buddies (Bandit Lord conned yellow). Was not too tough as long as I kept him away from passing goblin/outcast adds. After mending mid-fight ended up with around 35% HP when he decided he had enough. Finished him off and got the bracer. Nice item for my alt SK (not usable by monk).
Sure you can. Just use Harmony and single pull the mobs with snare and you'll be fine. My 33 ranger did this with no problems (and this was before I upgraded his equipment).
We got the BoS last night for our tank. Four of us, all level 39 (Necro, Druid, Cleric, Warrior) more than owned this camp and every wandering Iksar, Goblin and Giant nearby. There are about 3 spawn points in this camp. The hut itself has a north and south half. The west side of the south half has one pop point, the east side of the south half has another, and the west side of the north half has the third. They all pop either Iksar Pariah or Iksar Exile (or Iksar Bandit Lord). These guys were cake, BUT the two on the south side always aggroed if the other was engaged. If you fight always on the south side, you'll not get the 3rd Add from the north half of the hut.
So, soloing at level 41 would be best if you could ROOT or at least SNARE one of the south half pops, and kill the other. Once both are dead, you can take on the single north pop solo too.
The bandit lord himself wasn't a tough fight. He popped in the north half of the building.
I might be stupid but I wonder why this bracer isn't sold for more. +5STA +5DEX +9AC is not the most amazing thing ever seen but it still is really nice.
I wouldn't pay 300pp for this one, but I thought that 100-150pp would be an okay price...
It's not sold for more because it always drops off the Bandit Lord, which is easy to defeat for anyone 40+ (or a full group of 30+), and the mob it drops off of is not especially rare (average spawn time I'd say is about 2 hours).
Stats are nice, but this doesn't sell for much for the simple fact that it is very easy to get.
I remember when this easily sold for 400, but once people found out how easy it was to get one, they simply camped the Bandit Lord themselves rather than pay that much, and the price dropped A LOT.

Posted:Jan 13 2003 at 8:16 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i want one on bertoxx, willing to pay 100-150 for one. OR you can just be a nice guy and give one to me.
Paying 318 PP for this is a joke I hope. On my server I never seen anyone paying more then 50pp for this one and If U hunt in Giant fort U will see some peeps telling they have kill the bandit lord and then the first player that reach him hae just to loot the bracer and get it for free.
That often happening with Lore item that are common drop. Samething with Iksar scaled glove I have get 3 for free now. ( have log ona different char)
Short and sweet: Good bracer-super easy camp-spawns in any of the 3 spots Iksars spawn at ruins-lots of adds-all adds are sissys-go camp this dewd :) Luck in battle, Bulvar Biggins Dwarf Warrior Divine Union of Souls
some guy gave this to me for free on vazelle server. my lucky day today, i got shield of kurn, dreadscae bp,this item, giant snakespine belt, centi warspear, BABS, cab scale leggings and i got to lv20
I was pleasantly suprised at how easy this was. Camped him for 1 hour, got exp for most of the ph exiles and pariahs. Took the Bandit Lord with about 40% health left and he conned black to my lvl32 Paladin. Nice drop... go get one!

Got lucky with this one... just happened to be passing through WW, and got aggro from 2 pariahs and the BL. Feigned off the pariahs, pulled the BL out aways, and smacked him down. Took less that a bub from my vastly overwieght monk, conning yellow to me at 28. Thought: WOOT, nice bracer... not monk equippable... dammit. Oh well, send me a tell on Saryrn if you want to buy it.
Camped this spawn for about an hour and a half, with a lvl 29 and 26 war, and 28 dru. Easy camp, and we got two bracers for our time, though our poor druid was bored out of her mind, even with regular pulls. Certainly worth your time for this bracer IMHO.
Went in this weekend with a 32 War and 25 Cleric and owned this camp fairly easily, though we were busy the whole time. Lot of fun really. The bandits were no problem, and had occasional giants and gobbies walk by.
Spawned three times, killed three times, dropped three times, then we left it to the next shopper. One note, he can spawn in any of three spots, and one of these is behind the wall, out of aggro range, so if spawning seems to slow, just walk a bit to the next set of ruins, and look around, he, or a PH will probably be there.
A very nice bracer and not worth buying since getting it the "hard way" is so do-able.
He never resists my nukes when I catch him and if I recall it right, he never does. I started hunting him when I was in my low 30s and never had any trouble with him.
I was just wandering around the Woods, killing goblin after goblin to get my FV faction up. Noticed this guy, first outcast I saw with capital letters, and decided to try to get him, as he only conned blue (I was level 31 at the time). Wasn't too hard, but an iksar pariah and iksar manslayer joined in, I had to do some FD peeling to isolate this guy. Diddn't even know he had this. Saw the stats, wow! This is almost as good as the shackle of steel! But alas, monks can't use it. Gave it to my brother's character (half elf bard) to use. Didn't realize the value of it. Told him to give it back if he ever gets anything better rather than sell it. I might just go and kill the Bandit Lord again to sell the bracer for some extra cash. He's not that hard if you can get him by himself. This bracer would probably sell for more in EC or GFay than it would on Kunark, since most people in Kunark who want one probably already have one.
P.S. I think the level on here is wrong, you can easily get this at 30, maybe even a little lower. 35 is a bit too high for the level needed to acquire this.

I just can't stand the fact that these are lore. I have one and always see people selling them for 100-200pp just because everyone already has one that wants one. I would love to have another one.
me, a 32 bard, and a 30 druid camped the ikasr outpost hopign he would spawn, cleared the fort (4 iksars) abotu 3 tiems and then he spawned easy kill and had it i am pretty sure the drop is definate... easy easy easy, but watch out for adds i noticed the aggro radius was pretty big

Yep, the trick is getting the Iksar Bandit Lord to spawn, not a difficult task but can sometimes be a time consuming one. But the Iksar Bandit Lord always drops this. Just have to have the patience to keep clearing the ruins until he shows up.

Iv had this since lvl 1 was given to me by a lvl 30 shaman i still wear it at lvl 32.have not found anything better.i wear this and a dreadscale bracer.nice item i think even at lvl 32 but realy have not been looking for a replacment.
Everytime I have to go through WW I try to stop by the ruins just to check. Well the other night I went in turned directly to my left and saw him. I thought: "Sweet, got me a new bracer!". Well I enaged him, and noticed I was taking a bit more damage than I should be while fighting only this one guy, so I turn to my right a little bit, and there is a second one. They both had the bracer on them, but they are lore. So I did an /ooc to announce that one of them is rotting and gave it's /loc. Well I had everyone in the zone at that time send me a tell "Can I have it?". LOL I just did a /shout and said "First come first serve.." and a riot/mad-dash/mosh pit ensued. Rather a fun night, but I wish I could have grabbed them both.

From the back entrance of giant fort follow the path up the hill until you see the ruins on the right (right next to path) There are 3 placeholders, he can spawn in any of those spots. Random spawn but I would say he spawns an average of once for every 3 times that all 3 spawns are cleared, very easy.
I killed this guy with one 698hp drruid nuke, he is not tough. I have also campedmany time with my 32 monk. Clear the 3 exiles or weaker placeholders. Sometime he is just hanging out at camp. It has taken anywhere from 5 mins to an hour to get him to pop, very easy camp for a decent bracer. You actually don't need to clear all the placeholders, but the more you clear the better the chance of spawn.
I'm a 31 Pally and was camping this guy. I was grouped with a 24 Mage. We cleared the ruins once and then medded up. I saw something pop and sure enough it was the Bandit Lord, who jumped me when I wasn't expecting it. Watch out because I think he might have some friends spawn with him.
He resisted all the mages spells, and he ran for the zone. I stayed to see if I could solo him. I had two other Iksars on me and I was just trying to take the Bandit Lord down and before I knew it he was at a sliver of life. He isn't hard at all to kill, but watck out for his baddie friends.
I was going to buy one of these in gfay for 600pp. Man am I happy I didnt! I zoned into WW and cleared the exiles twice from the camp. Zoned back out to OT to med up a bit and heal. Popped back into Warsliks and who was there? The Bandit Lord. As a 35 Ranger I would have to say he was one of the easiest blues I have ever killed. And I saved myself 600pp. As people have said he does go down very quick so I dont think he has all too many HPs. Good luck folks and take my advice, don't buy these, they're just to easy to get.
I'm a 24 Pally, got a 33 ranger to help out, we camped him for an hour and a half before he spawned the first time. Ranger got first loot. Camped another hour and he spawned again, I got mine that time, and then as I have heard here, he immediatly poped a thirt time within 5 mins, so the ranger logged his warrior to grab the third one. This guy is a wuss, way eaiser to kill than that exiles
The bandit lord is a relatively easy kill. He conned red to me at 26 and I was able to solo him but I did have to use mend during battle. It helped that I could single him out with FD as a monk, but I suspect most could take him at or around level 26.
Camped the spawn for about an hour keeping all 3 spawn points cleared. Bandit lord spawned and I turned on him and took him down... Promptly loosing link as he died... I quickly rebooted, placing vile curses on my phone company, internet provider, telephone installation guy, his family and friends, and all the people who work at the phone company.
Fortunately when I got back on, the corpse was still there. Got the bracer and 3pp from him. (he also loaded a finely crafted somethingoranother and an Iksar Pariah mask.
I basically solo'd this camp as a lvl 34 monk. Most of the ph's conned green the lord conned blue and died quickly. Two dropped in an hour and a half - it's lore so bring a friend.
At the time I took this spawn , I was lvl 27 (shadowknight) grouped with a 25 warrior and 24 cleric.
When the bandit lord popped we almost died, but didnt... these bracers are barely worth 50p unless you go over to neriak, which really isnt worth the trip.
Perhaps its just the economy of Vallon Zek, decent enough bracers, people seel them for 250p sometimes.. well, /auction anyways

It depends on what class you are. If you are a caster class you can probably take the Lord down with relative ease. Melee characters will have a bit more trouble being he does hit hard and fast. Still, he doesn't have many hit points. So I'd say one healer with a tank can take the Lord down pretty easy.
Hmmm...I'm a lvl 30 Monk on VZ and I solo'd this guy. He was yellow to me and had his buddies with him, so I had to scare them away with ID. He didn't seem to have a lot of hit points. I was probably down to half when I managed to get rid of both his friends.
