Canni II
# Oct 26 2004 at 7:29 AM Rating: Decent
Canni II now sold on vendor in Abysmal Sea?!
Another ploy by Sony to get you to by their sorry expansion!
No thanks Sony! I'll just get my druid to find that Black Shaman Powder and get Canni II via the quest or just wait until I hit lv 53 or 54 and use the Canni III that I already have in the bank.
Curses on you evil game developers who make it so difficult on poor, young, struggling shammies!
Canni II

I guess they figured that the level 38 SHMs who don't have level 65 babysitters to take them to COM needed a break.
Easy to find.
# Mar 26 2004 at 1:58 PM Rating: Good
Just use the find feature in Abysmal. Shaman Spells will take you straight to the vendor.

For Sale in Abysmal Sea
# Mar 20 2004 at 12:49 AM Rating: Decent
Yes, it's true. After reading a couple posts just like Zabaku's, I headed to Abysmal Sea. First had a magus send me to Nedaria's Landing, then went to the end of the pier on the left (facing ocean) and waited for the boat. Took the boat for a fairly short ride, zoned into Abysmal Sea and then disembarked onto a very large ship.

I wandered around the ship for quite a while looking at and hailing many, many NPC's, but hadn't found any vendors other than for tradeskill supplies. I was just about to give up when we found the room full of various guildmasters. After that, we wandered around some more, and I know we were down a level when we located the spell merchants.

We found Hatem, a troll who has the shaman spells, and purchased Cannibalize II for our little shaman for around 13pp. Hatem's loc was -136, -89, 98.

I took my levle 63 Ranger to FV (where I have indiff or better faction) to try to start this quest for my lil Shaman. I was able to start the quest. My Shaman has the Ochre Clay on him (gift from another Shaman). I took my Ranger to TT and off'ed the Yun Shaman (within 5 min of zoning in)

I then went to Tim Deep to get the Crushed Diamonds. No Problem. Then I went into KC to kill the Skeletal Warlord. Easy.

I got the clay from my shaman then went to do the turn in. Viloa! Spell Canni II for my lil Shaman!
uncommon?
# Oct 15 2003 at 8:18 AM Rating: Decent
Uncommon? I don't know about all that. My guild formed a group to go to Sebilis. 2 of us need the idol for entry, so we were hunting the foragers and hunters. Anyway. In the course of about 3 hours, we must have killed over 50 shaman... thats JUST shaman. Add knights and warriors, keepers, tigers and raptors and we NEVER went more than a minute without killing something.

My group was finally wiped out when when got to a small hill where we where chain attacked by what had to have been about 50 frogs. Three would show up and while we had 2 mezz'd and was killing the other, three more would show up 5 secs. later. There where two skilled Chanters there and we struggled feverishly to keep control of adds. We probably had between 10 and 15 frogs mezz'd at a time and there where still 5 more beating on our melees. First the other chanter died, then I did (cleric had his work cut out for him healing and fizzled on me list second CH...damn, which was all the same because I was big time OOM) with the chanters gone. Everybody ran to zone...only one made it.

Anyway... shaman didn't seem too uncommon at all and no PH was needed.

Froglok Yun Shaman

I am 39 shaman and just got all 4 pieces. The Black Shaman Powder off the Froglok Yun Shaman was the hardest to get. I belive I got the answer not and I hope this helps everyone. In Trakanon's Teeth at about -600, +200 you can find the Yun Shaman.

What you do is hire a tracker if you do not play one, and track around the Arched Wall that runs between Lake and Ancient City where Sebilis is.

As I traked around the area I found a Froglok Vin Knight I think it was called. Well anyway I truly think these are Places Holders because I kill the Vin Knight and about 30 seconds later, Froglok Yun Shaman poped on my track.

Also once you kill the PH's, then you have to fight everything in the area to keep Yun Shaman alive because everying from Tigers to Keeper's aggro on the Yun Shaman

I hope this helps

This was easiest for me. I was in the Firiona Vie zone and the thing agroed on me way back in my early 30's and I killed it and looted the powder. No problem at all to kill (might be if you rely on DoT's but I used my DD spell, had KEI at the time) and dropped it first try. Maybe you should try that zone.
Yun Shaman? Anyone... Anyone...
# Nov 12 2002 at 5:38 AM Rating: Decent
I have solo'd this quest started at 41 now I am 42 (iksar shammy) due to the nature of the beast, Tacarons Teeth sitting next to zone going to Swamp of no hope, I have picked up some real good exp. camping that area and I keep ooc'ing for drop or auc'ing, with no sucess. Not too many people even know what a Yun Shaman is. My question is has anyone seen one? With the baz being a great place to pick up the clay and dread diamonds spawning on the island in TD, the bones I just sat in KC inside entrance and buffed people and grps for free until someone brought in a Warlord Skelly and let me loot it. Now I am stuck on Yun powder. I have read an seen that it drops in FV? If so off of what shammy did they drop to get it?

They aren't common, but they ARE there in Trak's Teeth. I took a group there to get Sebilis Keys, hunting Foglok Hunters and Foragers, and I told the trackers to keep an eye out for Yun Shamen. By the end of the night (about 3 hours of pulling), we had 12 keys (as in, we had killed 12 Froglok foragers and 12 foglok hunters) and we had killed a couple of Yun Shamen.

You really need someone with tracking to locate them and pull them, but they ARE there. If people want Sebilis keys, it's best to just make an evening of it.

Also, the black Yun Shaman Powder is NOT no drop, just so you know.
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 17 2002 at 2:05 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Dangit, got one of these powder things once and didn't know it's purpose, so I trashed it. Now that I'm doing the quest for my shammy, i really regret it :(
For Sale?

I am ALMOST done with this quest. I just need the Yun Shaman powder.

There's only one problem. I'm now lvl 53, and once I get to lvl 54, I will be able to use the Can3 scroll I have had in the bank for weeks.

I am thinking that once I GET the scroll, I shouldn't scribe it. I am wondering, what would lvl 39-53 shaman PAY for this spell? 2500pp?

Also, "Level to Attain: 40" only applies if you have someone else doing the quest for you I think, or a very Uber group for friends willing to cart your carcass around with them as they do all the dirty work. Verant made this quest MUCH too hard for the level of the spell. They partically fixed that my making the diamonds a grounds spawn instead of having to go to Kaesora for a spectral pestle and grind stuff up, etc. But, it's still more like a lvl 50 quest.

I finally got canni 2 a few days ago, only because my friend said c'mon let's go get your spell. It is a great improvement over canni 1, altho i don't think i would have paid 2500pp for it while i was lookin to buy. I probably would have paid 500pp, but ya never know, no one is sellin it so it's either do the quest, do without or pay what your askin.

I've learned hawking potions, some of them VERY expensive, that eventually a buyer willing to pay your price will come along. It's just the higher the price, the longer the wait.

No way would I sell this for 500pp after arranging three raids to get it. I suppose the charitable thing would be to give it to a lvl 39-53 shaman in my own guild, but I don't know if I feel that charitable :)
no drop

droppable

nope. It is droppable. I have done the quest for a number of friends. The Yun shamans will be too tough for you at 44, in my opinion. Also, the army behemoths will best be challenged with some friends (too many adds in that part of CoM). And the greyish chips frequently rot in KC (be on the look out for skeletons near the zone).
