Book Text:

Well, I finally got my
hands on a book. Not easy
to come by here. Kobolds
tend to burn them when they
find any. Not real sure
what I'm going to do with
this now that I have it
though. But I'm the only
dwarf in the Rest with a
journal! At least the only
one I know about. I'll
have to look into that, see
if I can spy any other
books.

Been a few days since I got
this, but now I know what I
need it for. Have to keep
track of things.

That drooling idiot
Fangskull has the most
beautiful forge hammer I've
ever seen. The idiot uses

it to bash gnolls in the
head. He doesn't deserve
such a wonderful tool. I
need to get that from him
as soon as I can figure out
how.

I just saw Nogit's gift.
How Bartel got something
like to give to her I'll
never know. He probably
swiped it out of the city.
He says that he knows a way
in, though I always figured
that was a lie. Now what's
that girl gonna do with
such a heavy necklace?
Besides, I can't stand that
Bartel. He's not good
enough for my sister. It
might do him some good to
have to go find her another
gift anyway.

Today was tough. Gnolls
swarmed into the area,
attacking everything they
could get a hold of. Of
course I managed to avoid
being noticed by them,
though that required
pushing Grundle out of
cover to hide my shift to
better cover. Too bad
Grundle isn't as smart as I
am. Stupid gnoll took that
ring off his finger before
it ran off tho. The Gnoll
was called Ripskin or
something like that. I
suppose it will fall asleep
some time, then I can
recover Grundle's ring for
myself.

I got it! I knew that
idiot Berrina would lead me
to her hiding place

eventually. I plucked that
magical bladestone from
where she stashed it as
clean as you please.
Trouble is, I have it but I
have to be careful if I
want to use it or she'll
find out. But at least I
have it. Maybe I can sneak
off someplace and try it
out on my new dagger.

I've had enough of that
gnoll. He tromps around
acting like he knows
something we don't. So I
followed him today, to see
what he's up to. Well, he
went into some gnoll
meeting. I couldn't get
close enough to hear what
was going on, so I snuck
into his camp instead. I
found the most incredible

pint mug! I would have had
it too but he came back and
I had to scamper like a
gnome to get away.

Dropped off a Lavakin. Guess it pretty common drop.
