Meditate mod with a capped skill of 252 makes for... 252.

Worth it if an all around upgrade, but don't go tryin to farm it to improve your meditate, bcuz it doesn't actually modify a capped meditate.

That's so odd.

I'm an Enchanter, so my Class-specific headgear from Anguish (Mindreaver's Skullcap of Coercion) has a Skill mod on it of +12% to Specialize: Conjuration. This does affect my Specialization, raising it from 75 to 84.

Is it only the Specializations that are affected by Skill mods? Or are only some items so coded that their Skill mods can raise the pertinent Skill above cap?

For the longest time, the main reason I never bothered with the Skullcap was because I was of the belief that it would not raise my Conjuration above cap; once I realized it did, I made it a top priority, so that the Conjuration-type spells I cast (mezz, stun, and what-not) would have a better chance of making a successful check, thus lowering the mana-cost of the spell and making me more effective in my duties.

Other than my Class-specific Cloak from Demi-Plane of Blood (Insidious Hooded Cloak), I wonder what other items are out there that would raise Skill(s) above cap?

Anyone know for a fact whether it's the item (or its coding) that does this? Or is it simply that only some Skills can be thus raised (and if so, which ones)?
