Does this still drop? I believe it used to be a 100% drop but have been doing it and not getting any bridles.

Make sure you're not doing the hard version. It asks you if you will rise to the challenge or something to the effect. Decline.

All the ones from these pictures are red, but when my guild beat this event the other day we got a green mount? Any ideas?

All these years of telling paladins that mounts that levitate or fly were not doable.

there will never be "flying" mounts, or indeed flying Anything in eq unless there is a major overhaul of the game engine itself. they cant exist as everquest is currenly made. the closest version we have is levitation. You can start at a high place an float down, but you cant start at a low place and ascend.
Speed of the mount

We tested this for speed against a Paladin's Holy Steed by racing them along the river in West Karana from the west end of the zone to the zone line at the east end of the zone. They were almost exactly the same. In our race the Flying Imperial Sokokar edged out the Pallie mount, but by an amount that was so small that it might have been more due to differences in our connections and lag and such than to the actual speeds of the two different mounts. I figure they're really just about exactly the same speed, which means this mount is faster than the fastest horse from the Bazaar, but not as fast a high level Bard.

I will post an image to show what the mount looks like.

By the way, yes, it really does fly in that it has levitate as a part of its spell effect.
