Well...on Xegony server, there's a bunch of people who have gotten it this year. I petitioned, wondering what happened, and the GM said, specifically, that she was never here this year...Nice one, GM...
I just think it's bull, cause i waited all year, and the main reason i came back to EQ a few days ago...whatever.

Maybe broken or not fully implemented, as you can do the first part, but Maynor Furrwik is currently missing this year (at least as of 12/23/09) to be able to get the 2nd quest in the series.

ok, here is what I had to do to get quest.
Everyone shrouded to 55...then everyone ungrouped. the person that had done the previous task invited everyone to the group that was shrouded at 55. then she hailed the task npc

Whats the goblin illusion look like? Some people are saying its just a green goblin, that rogues already have access to, and others are saying its a blue goblin, just looking for some confirmation, thanks!
the goblin illusion given by this mask is a blue ice goblin with reddish armor. this is not the normal green/naked goblin illusion.

Yep looks like Freezkorr except you are a small goblin. Armor also changes depending on what armor you wear (plate, chain, silk). My Bard's illusion had different armor than my Shaman's illusion.
not too sure about this, i tried plate, chain and cloth armor but could not get the goblins armor to change its look. can anyone confirm?

i might be doing something wrong, i m a 80 sk, i shroud to 55 and grab task and then unshroud and do the taskand re shroud to 55 claim reward?? like the same trick we did to get the skelly illusiuon mask?
You get the mask when you complete the quest in the instanced Permafrost so you do not need to re shroud to claim the mask, it is placed in your inventory automatically.

We tried the Hates Fury quest and got everything. EXCEPT for the bracers from the rats. We cleared the rats at least 2 times and a few more , but not one bracer. ANNOYING
I did the lower level task #2 and got two bracelets on the first two rats I killed in the first room in Hate's Fury so maybe they fixed the drop rate.

In the mispalced wishes quest we found the Rusty Gnome just fine, but never got the bracelet to drop in 4 hours of killing nearby trash nor did we ever find the ground spawn. Any tips wuld be appreciated.

Step 1
Here is a short run down should be rather easy,... to start quest first you will want to shroud down, by doing this it allows you do the easier versions of the quest and noy the high level. Once you're shrouded down to lvl " 55 " and will go hail Elba Straw sitting on a bench next to door on a bench to the right of small bank door in pok. After you've hail you will say " someone " then she will tell you to talk to giggle you will hail giggle and say " pirate " after doing so you will get an unlimited time quest. it is an easy Quest in Hate's Fury. Dont forget to unshroud . To get to hates fury you'll go to gunthak then to crypt of nadox to hates fury,... on the ship there are sever see invis so you just stop and own them , you 'll be looking for rats along the way you will be kill those to loot 2 bracers from the rats, they are random drops,... after killing the rats otw you'll go to ladder B on your map. Go down ladder B and you'll go down a lvl and see a hallway on the map,... go down the hall way first door on the right,... in that room there are about 7ish mobs around the room and two named,... Rolo something and then the Filthy Pirate,... try to clear the adds best you can ,... after doing so run in and engadge The pirate will off spawn around 8 - 10 rats spike up either be in a group or use your merc clr so you can just dps it all down ,... once all is dead you'll loot your yellow and i think green bouncy ball and have killed the named , at this point of the quest you will have 2 items left and that will be two white colored gift box's, ' ground spawns' , you will want to go back up ladder b invis ofcourse and once back up top you'll go the door directy right of the ladder, you'll see on map that there are a couple rooms ahead the first couple rooms you get to will each have a giftbox on the ground you'll pick those up and you're done , after doing so you'll return to pok to give elba back the box's' and the bracers and you'lll take the bouncy balls to i forgot it'll say on quest though .... reward will be 100 snowballs,... by completeing this you will be flagged for lack of a better for the group quest,.. now bare in mind everyone in the group has to have this first part done to go into instance in permafrost after.
Step 2 Group mission
If you look left of giggle on the Box there in front of bank you'll see Maynar Furrwik. you'll Hail him and fallow his instructs,.. for this you'll want to shroud to " 55" before hailing as well, as before you may unshroud after the quest is grabbed,.. once you get the group take from him you'll see that the reward is the mask , you'll then take halas stone in pok and go to permafrost , from there you will run across the zone to permafrost keep,... on this quest after you zone in to keep you'll turn around and it'll look like a hallway but it's in fact the instance zone, a tracker is handy but not needed after entering the instance you'll see these big white cages i just rushed in thre had a couple peopple popped the merc clr and we went to town with the mobs being lvl 55 they are a since go up click the cages and break them one by one all you have to do is break 4 cages so you could do the first 3 cages by the time your done you can run back and just break the first one again , after doing that you will fo look for the named on the quest you'll find him and santa around the named are about 8 mobs the same priciple applied as before with a few people in group just run in there kill named and quest is done imediately after killin the named your mask will be on your curser,.. i hope this is ok run down and helps .....

This still works as of 12/8/10 took about 45mins including travel time thx for great post ganenn!

Good Write up. The hardest part of this quest... is getting the quest. I have run through the second part about 6 times now, and getting hte quest is NEVER easy. I have done this with lv's ranging from 85 to 66. If you have 4 ppl kick the lowest level and task add them. Sometimes the added person has to shroud, sometimes not, sometimes you need to pop a merc to change the group avg, sometimes not. Like I said hardest part is getting quest. Takes about 30 minutes to get quest, and 15 to run through it (with travel).
Also, if you have a pet with good dps, you only have to kill in the last room. Send pet on the cages as they don't agro the mobs. Got to love Sony's working as intended.

Careful if you pop merc while shrouded.
I didn't notice I had no pp on shroud. Merc says "Eat **** Dihrt, yer broke and ya aint paying me...so **** OFF! And poof...the lame ***** quit! lol

Here is what I know so far...These tasks must be done in order
#1 Rellith Akkanar - Misplaced Wishes (reward Snowball)
- find and return Gift-wrapped Toy Ground Spawn in Fort Mech
- find and return Brightly Polished Garnet Bracelet Drops from trash near Rusty Gnomework
- Kill Rusty Gnomework - he is listed on Alla.
- Spawns 2 rats at various % in health ( 12 total )
- Also, changes into a goblin at some point who throws snowballs at you. Appeared to be a snare effect.
- find and return Trellik's lute (Drops from Rusty - Goblin form)
- Hail a gigglegibber goblin
#2 Maynar Furwik - The Frostclaw lair (reward Mask of the Grumpy Goblin )
This is a permafrost instance task.. zone in and then move forward to zone again..
- Free Santug and his gob friends from cages 4
- Kill Freezkorr
Some notes:
- Three of the cages are in the King room
- Santug's cage is in Vox's room
- nothing sees invis til you get to the named ( who is in vox's room)
- The gobs in Vox's room respawn relativly fast ( so a puller is a good thing to single out the named)
Once they are completed you can request the task again for others if you like.

You must complete the task "misplaced wishes" ( level 75) To get the task "The Frostclaw Lair" from the NPC Maynar Furrwik in PoK.
You go to Permafrost Keep be invis when you zone in. as you step forward you will zone again "You have entered Permafrost Keep: Frostfell 2008."
There are 3 a Frostclaw Ice Cage surrounded by various goblins including A Frostclaw scrapper, A Frostclaw frostweaver and A Frostclaw daggerling. Only the pets see invis and will not aggro. Respawn is fast so work quickly.
Once you have destroyed the cages head to "vox's area" was how it was described to me.
There is another cage there with santung in it also Freekorr either is there or will spawn there. Kill him to update the second task. Mask is auto inventoried. Named has ~86K hp

You need to do one of the other task from the Frostfell Quest people near small bank in PoK. I found it works well to shroud to 55 and get the quest from Elba Straw (name correct?) and then unshroud to complete the Hate's Fury task. After that is done, shroud again to 55 and Maynard (guy next to goblin) will offer you the task for the mask if you have 3 ore more people in your group. I've only been able to get the task if all the people in the group are shrouded to 55. But have not had time to complete task with server going down.

Soloed this mission few times today then taskadded others to get the reward. Fairly easy, named does not summon, nothing is see invis except the named.
YAY....I just love posts like this. They are so informative and helpful to everyone in Norath. It just makes my heart feel all warm and fuzzy like.
Anyone have any information on how to get this?
