Regarding Vox and Naggy bags

There are two different bags that drop off of Vox and Nagafen and some of the Kunark dragons. They are a Treasure Hunter's Satchel and something else, I forget what it is called exactly (forager's pack?). Anyhow, they weigh 0.4 each, not 0.0. I suspect that someone got the 0.0 weight because that is the default weight here at Allakhazam's when someone does not submit a weight with the item stats. Many people don't care about the weight of an item you see and so they don't bother to submit that info. I know what the dragon bags weigh, because I have one of each in my inventory. If only they were not lore. I play a monk, so that little bit of weight matters.

Considering what you have to do to get this bag, it should be at least as good as a tink bag and really it should be as good or better than a Vox/Nagafen bag. As a monk, this bag would be useless to me. It would be useless to any monk high enough in level to participate in the fight required to get the item. Anyone besides a monk would love to have it though, I am sure.

Regarding the difficulty of the fight, overall, it is considerably more difficult than Vox or Nagafen or any of the Kunark dragons that drop the same bags that Vox and Nagafen drop. Our guild typically drops any of those dragons in 30 seconds or less. In some cases, the last person to attempt to engage the dragon in combat doesn't hit attack fast enough to get in a hit before the dragon dies. We have yet to finish the Ring of Fire, mostly because we can't seem to get enough people on to make a decent attempt. Raids that would make mince meat out of a Kunark dragon fail miserably in RoF.

Treasure Hunters Satchel and Kayruul's Mystic Pouch are the Nag (THS) and Vox (KMP) bags.

Rather poor reward for what you have to do to get it.

very much so but a giant 10 slot back is something that im sure everyone would like, so chances are EVERYONE will be rolling for this. and it's not no drop so even if your main (i would sure hope its ur main here...) can't use it, pass it to a twink or sell in the market (something i don't really want to see)
How hard is this to get?

Out of curiosity, as I've only observed one Vox raid, how does the difficulty on this fight compare to a Vox raid? The tinkers bags are awesome, but if this fight is easier than Vox, why would the bags be as good? This seems to be a reasonable compromise to me.

Now on the Rallic pack issue, you do have a point.....

I may be misunderstanding this post, but it sounds like you think the tinkers bag drops from Vox. I think Vox drops a bag of some sort, but the tinker's bag is a 10 slot pack that is sold for around 5250pp by gnome merchant in Sol A.

Hey.

You are indeed correct about the Tinkerer's bag being a bought item. However, the bag dropped by Vox is exactly the same, excepting the weight. (The bag is a Treasure Hunter's satchel and also drops from Nagafen, Ragefire and Severillious.)

A Tinkerer's bag has a weight of 1.0. The bag dropped by Vox has a weight of 0.0!!! For most of us, this is of no real interest. However, for a monk, this makes it an item to drool over.

Neither the treasure hunter's satchel, nor the Tinkerer's bag are LORE. Having said this, the satchel isn't obtainable by anyone over level fifty-two, unless you want to trade for it. (And I dare say you'd be really bled for it!)

The extra weight isn't a big deal, unless you're a monk. (Even my feeble necromancer wouldn't be concerned with the weight of this thing!) And getting faction to get into Katta Castellum, is a pain in the bum. It's not the greatest prize in the world, but it's not entirely a booby prize either. It's just another toy, tossed out by the ring of fire.

I read one post that suggested the quest could be run maybe four times in a day. This would make it sound a lot like you could really farm the quest rewards in a big way. (I'm not at the point where I can go on big raids yet, but isn't this a bit like being able to raid stuff over and over again, without having to wait days for the critter to respawn?)

Anyhow, these are my thoughts.

AlAaraaf.

You are incorrect about Kayruul's pouch (Which is the vox bag everyone refers to..).. The weight is 0.40. Same weight is on the Treasure Hunter's Satchel. Those bags are identical, except the name and graphic.

Edit:

Treasure Hunters Satchel is obtainable post-52. Ragefire, Severillious, and one other Dragon can drop. I can't recall the name right now, but it's a Western Wastes dragon outside ToV. Not Klandicar. ;)

Hmm, exactly the same as the Rallic Pack but weighs MORE. Figure that one out. =P Rallic Pack is 100% easier to attain, too. If you ask me this should at least either weigh 0.0stones or be 90 to 95% weight reduction for the effort to get it.
