You would think that a new expansion would mean better armor? you stil have to go to Kael Drakkel to get Warlord armor ( older expansion ) just palin stupid dont know what SOE was thinking

Agreed pretty disapointing, I am a first char 49 war, untwinked by any but my own hard work, and these items are pretty bad for the work, as i am currently levelin in SD, and have done DS and TM, its not worth it for anything but to go make a couple of K in EC, or to twink a friends alt, lowlvl in guild, etc... but, some pcs not bad, i am workin on pauldrons to replace me seb mantle. Btw, the star, moon, sky, jewels are easier to get in DS, and the marks dropp off the named Zelniaks in DS and named cheetas in SD (scarlet desert) still lost on the other pcs tho, like sundew wand? any info on these parts appreciated,
Jus finished it today. I am a happy camper. I have the vambracers and pauldron. Only need a ble egg and i get my bracer. Now to finish the BP and greaves =D

If you notice the weight and correct me if i'm wrong, the fact that every piece of this armor that i have seen has Str, Sta. boosts on them.
It may have the same AC as Crafted but not all crafted has str,sta. tied to it. In fact (in my opinion of course) some of the stats on the Crafted armor are just plain worthless for a warrior, Bracers are an eccellent example, ...int,wis...rather have the str,sta thanks...

Actually Crafted Bracers feature these stats:
10 AC (For a lvl 25 quest this is excellent)
+2 Dex (Which helps)
+2 Int (Which is worthless)
Don't be knocking crafted, because it's attainable like 20 lvls before Twilight armor is. It's got great AC for someone at those lvls, and sure, when a warrior with Crafted gets to 45+ he probably should upgrade to Twilight or to another set, but at 25 it's probably the best stuff that can be gotten.

ok i am gonna knock it. Crafted is worthless. Nasty stats and might as well save up and buy crusty. only 200pp per item on our server. 150pp fer bracer shield and helm. sooooo ***** crafted its worthless just another item that will eventually go unused.
Crafted sucks because it "Will eventually go unused?" Think about what you're saying. Yeah, you'll definitely find better armor than crafted after a while, not very hard these days with how FUBAR the economy on low-mid lvl items is on most servers, but you need SOMETHING in the meantime, don't you? Unless you're going to lvl to 65 naked so you can skip all the 'sucky' gear (since a lot of the best items are lvl 65 required), of course.
'Crusty' isn't necessarily better than crafted, either... it has big STR and STA bonuses, but several pieces also have -DEX, which means less procs/crits for a warrior, and some pieces have lower AC than crafted does. I'd say its better for Pallys or SKs from a race that doesn't have good melee stats, like Erudites or High Elves.

Alla's doesn't have it listed, but the BP is 22ac. *cough* so is Crafted. The Bard Twilight BP is 21 ac... isn't that a bit off? I was under the impression as well that this was between class armors and plane armors, ie you would expect Warrior BP to be between Crafted (22ac) and Indicolite (35ac), maybe 28-30 ac would have been more appropriate? As it is, there aren't going to be too many people needing any of the known warrior equipment coming from these quests.
May perhaps be an altenative to crafted pauldrons. Since runnyeye update there's only one spawn of EE's and the runes don't drop much.
Still I thought these items were to bridge the gap between "Old World" quest and planar/kunark, not be equal to quest?

These are an upgrade. have you looked at the stats for the crafted etc. quests? Most the stats on that stuff isn't even realy suitable for the class specific to it. From what I have seen every piece of this Soldier's armor has BENIFICIAL stats. to me that would fill the gap ... I know alot of warriors that do wear their crafted till Kunark/Planes/Velious armor, my 49 warrior for 1, simply because of the AC it provides. Now they can have this type of armor in place while not having to scrifice the stats.
Again, a disappointing result from a quest. We can only hope these get upgraded in the future.
