STR: 8
DEX: 3
CHA: 5
HP: 25
fire, cold, and magic +2
The stinking glorious sunflower...
# Sep 11 2002 at 5:50 AM Rating: Decent
I've been hunting and tracking for the 'a Glorious Sunflower' forever it seems. People in the zone are always keeping an eye out for me, friends come and join me on the hunt every night. Still nothing. No one has seen one pop. Have you?
If so can I just buy the #$%% flower from you please? Heh heh. Or can someone please say how often they've seen it or give a clue as to where it might spawn?
Thanks, and please send me a tell in game if you have a glorious flower for sale.

Just wait for patch days. If not, don't just kill sunflowers, think of scarlet like this -

Tro Jeg have no PHs besides themsevles, this goes for all aliens. Blood tribe wanderers PH Sun Rev Wanderers (Away from the caves/ruins, close by wanderers aren't PHs). Those same Sun Reves PH the Tribals again. Then everything else (Hoppers/Cheetahs/Crawlers/Sunflowers) PH themselves, so if you kill a hopper, a flower might pop.

Get it?

Tribals - Revs - Tribals
Aliens - Aliens
Flower - Cheetah - Crawler - Hopper (In any order)

I don't think I left out anything..
This armor is ALOT better then Lambent heres why...
# Aug 23 2002 at 5:02 PM Rating: Excellent
Im tired of everyone saying that this armor isnt much better then Lambent, my thought is its quite a bit better, first off you dont have to spend a cent to buy gems(granted gems drop off mobs, but not at 30), second the twilight armor fills ALL armor slots AND has a wep lastly the stat boosts this armor gives is way above Lambent, check it out:
Full suit of Twilight:------Full suit of Lambent:
AC-139---------------------AC-98
Str-56----------------------Str-8
Dex-18---------------------Dex-5
Cha-46---------------------Cha-10
HP-116---------------------Sta-5
save vs. Mag-5------------Int-5
save vs. fire-6-------------Agi-5
save vs. cold-5------------save vs. all-4
save vs. dis-5
save vs. pos-5

Yeah Ill admit the Lambent is a whole lot easier to get, but to tell you the truth it should be, just look and compare and stop DISin this armor, its alot better then Lambent. The only thing that sucks about it is that its just a bit too hard to get for what it is, I think Verant should add either a bit more ac to the whole suit or more resistance(personaly I would vote for resistance since Im on Vallon Zek :P)
RE: This armor is ALOT better then Lambent heres why...
# Sep 01 2002 at 11:41 AM Rating: Decent
That was a realy good comparison, thanks. One thing tho the twilight full suit has more pieces than the lambent. While i agree that this os better armor, the whole set would take probobly a week and a half or two to do. heres a list of the bravados stats if you had only the pieces that are available in lambent(ie. there is no lambent girdle, cloak ect.)

AC 87 (with both bracers)
STR 31 (this is where the twilight set realy beats lambent)
DEX 10
AGI 0 (vs the 5 on lambent isnt a huge set back)
CHA 26 (also realy nice boost)
INT 0 (not a big deal)
saves 13 (too lazy to list individualy heh but lambent has 20)
HP 93

So in conclusion uhh i think i just wasted my time but i had fun. The Lambent is a reasonable choice due to its ease but the Bravado has better stats, and may be worth the extra time. Especialy for 31 str. While Ikkyman was correct I think he may have given the lambent a disadvantage by comparing the 13 pieces of Bravados aginst the poor 'ol Lambent which is 7 pieces.

Boravado's Armor Color
# Apr 08 2002 at 9:50 PM Rating: Default
Posting this on every piece of Bravado's armor because i was searching for this myself. If you do not know what this looks like, it looks purple like etheral mist armor (cleric plane of hate armor), but darker. Looks decent, but i have lambent BP/Legs/Bracer showing along w/ SS arms/gloves/Boots... so bravado's helm sorta throws it off, but it looks ok.

FYI: I wouldn't sell this thing for anything less than 10kpp. I also don't think anyone that's "DONE" the quest would either. Gathering these items is proving to be a real pain in the a$$.

/agree ....... I searched high and low for that Glorious Flower for 2 months. I finally gave up. Then, when doing some soloing in SD one day, i did a shout to see if anyone has found it and lo and behold, some nice beastlord barb lady found one!
If I did more raids with my guild, I probably would have a better BP. But I like this because I was able to do the quest solo. If I do get a better BP, once I get a bit more social, I might sell it....but it won't be cheap.

Well, I must admit that this armour is a bit better than Lambent, but is it really worth 2000 plat? I havn't see the graphic for this armour yet so maby it's cool factor is worth the extra coin. Seriously though, for that much money, you can just buy the lambent BP and maby even have enough left over to grab a Centi sword or something.

Mob difficulty
# Jan 17 2002 at 4:38 AM Rating: Decent
I've been picking up cloud, meteor and sun jewels off the Vampires in Tenebrous. Tanks wont be able to solo them. 200 point 'blood' drains and hits for up to 113. But a group of mid 40's could take them. they also kite very nicely. Also, there are 4 rares that spawn at the village with Bedlavar. They drop 3 marks (nature, fortune and another i forget), and a gilded silver bracelet. The rares are Trooper, Guard, Gladiator and Veteran.

I find in a group that melee classes are having problems pulling in scarlet desert. But think most bards know how to duck and weave around these static spawns(yes they dont run around). Never go in a staight line here. Bard track seemed to help greatly I always have it onwhen not twisting. Grab a few casters and a meat shield and healer and go to town on these. I avoid the aliens and stick to reverents, flowers and cats. The aliens are not KOS to me so if you plan to camp make some friends it will help. ON the vamp blood drain post is that a melee proc or is it a ranged casting....asking from a kiting view
RE: Mob difficulty
# May 20 2003 at 3:02 PM Rating: Decent
To answer your question it is a melee proc not a ranged casting believe me I know being a paladin and soloing the vamps is very exciting especially if they keep resisting your stuns. (dirty undead procing so and so's)
RE: Mob difficulty

I hunted the Bedlavar camp for two days and I had come to the conclusion that there were a different four named at this camp: The named that I got were: Gladiator, veteran, commander, and soldier. Also, for me the specials only popped in 1 of 2 particular spawn points. the spawn point outside and to the back of the house further from katta, and the first spawn inside that house.

The 4th camp clockwise from Katta( the one with tymoz and otto ) had 2 specials that I was able to get to spawn: Fighter and cohort. Also, it was only in a couple of spawn points: the one to the outside again, behind the hut furthest from the wall, and the spawn in the middle furthest from the wall.

The second camp clockwise from Katta; drovalak and gillanious (whatever). did not have specials spawn as far as I could tell. cleared the entire camp 7 times or so.

The third camp (the one with all cents) which is on a different faction from the others I didnt mess with since it was all higher level stuff, and it was just me and a wizard.

The fort does not drop any marks of any kind. Hunted there for a week with a good group every night. Clearing the entire castle many times over.

supposedly there is a coterie duelist around here somewhere? Unless he spawns in the elite camp, I cant get him to spawn. Im trying to get some armor for my bard alt. Anyone gotten the duelist to spawn anywhere?

well since i completed this, along with 8 other bard twilight armor pieces (almost full set) i can tell you from first-hand experience that these quests are a waste for the target level range of 35-45.

unlike this 42 paladin expert (how many of these twilight paladin armor quests have you completed again? oh, none?) most people in that level range will find better uses for their time in adventuring in more rewarding zones.

the problem is that many of the placeholders for these named component droppers are waaaaaay too hard for that level range and for the reward the quests give. some examples of this are: tro jeg in scarlet desert, proc 250dd in melee almost every hit. coterie in tenebrous, proc 200 lifetap in melee/cannot be charmed, stonegrabbers in mons letalis, double for 150, enourmous assist aggro range, and have very high hps. thought leeches in mons letalis, extremely large aggro range in a densly populated area, cannot be feared. cant wait to see our paladin quest expert attempt those mobs /snicker.

sure a level 40 character can get the easy pieces but when you find yourself forced to hunt the mobs i mentioned you will find yourself way out of your league...all for loot thats comperable to sol ro quest armor.

ps) traded for glorious flower, dont know what dropped it, person said in scarlet desert.

Glorious Flower
# Jan 14 2002 at 1:25 PM Rating: Decent
Where did the Glorious flower for this item drop and what did it drop off of?

I have heard that it drops in Scarlet Desert and i am guessing it would be off of a named sun flower.
Pre-Planar
# Jan 13 2002 at 4:54 AM Rating: Decent
Well.... im level 45 druid, and ive been looking at some of this twilight sea armors for the various classes, and can you say, PRE PLANAR, this things kick!! and heck, they are even better than some of the plane stuff, stat wise, so for all you peeps complaining about this stuff not being all that great, thats fine, dont do the quest, as for the rest of us, ill enjoy doing them and getting every last piece, or until i find something better (doubtful on that last one)
:P

Aye - can go to the planes at 46, but that does not mean a druid is going to get into the planes or get the armor. Verm is such a pain to get and to me drops rarely compared to other armors (or are there just so many bloody tree huggers that it seems that way - hehe).
This armor is great pre-planes and pre-velious armor since druids do not have quest armor like most other classes (to my knowledge - as a Dorf I do drink to much and my mind wanders). Forgo how much of a pain it is to get around Luclin, but the idea is still good.

Ok ya pre planar this stuff kicks........ for a like, L20, maybe. The velious armor is better, Vermiculated is horrible, any way you look at it. So what, it has a chain graphic. Get elysian, its easier, and much better.
not too hard
# Jan 12 2002 at 1:01 AM Rating: Default
Ok, this is an ok piece of armor and contradictory to the thing listing as 45 to the level to get it this is a bard item, and the items are dropped in outdoor zones. Bard+outdoor zone=damn hard to kill and if you're of correct level to have your songs work at all on the Mobs(35 or so minimum I believe) a good bard can kite any non casting thing. Half the things that have the random drops being animals which don't cast, a 35 or 40 bard could do this quest. A lvl 37 bard friend of me has most of the pieces(is just missing jewel).
Worth it?
# Jan 11 2002 at 6:18 PM Rating: Default
Uh, ok. Let's get a group of mid-50's running around doing a quest for a lvl 10 bard. At best, this item is an upgrade to Lambent.....but not much of one. AC is ok, not great. Adds are good, but not all that wonderful.
Unless this thing's got some cool graphic, it's not worth the effort.
RE: Worth it?
# Jan 11 2002 at 8:18 PM Rating: Default
Actually, all the mobs that drop the items for these quests can easily be killed by a group in their low-mid 40's.

Just because people in their 50's are doing these quests, doesn't mean that's what they were designed for!

Heck, many of these mobs can be pretty easily soloed by my level 42 Paladin!
