recharging
# Jun 17 2002 at 11:56 PM Rating: Default
Before the Nerf patch on egg shapped pumice, you could recharge those by selling one with full charges and another with none and then buy both. But doign so is a banable offense..Only thing is that you cant recharge a lore item.

I dont want to be part of the rumor mill. But I know of certain items in the game that an NPC will charge. Shrug. I have the scarb one, I doubt ill ever use its effect honestly.

I do know that with a SOW potion (possibly a glitch) I had all the charges. Used all but one. and it sold for the SAME amount as BEFORE I used any. I checked with a merchant. My girlfriend tried it and it did not do that.

Recharge cheat?

A rumor I have heard (but have not verified), is you can recharge something like this by:

Sell a fully charged item to a merchant.
Sell a discharged item of the same type.
Buy both back.

... on the theory that both item get put in the same "merchant inventory" slot...

Not for the faint of heart or pocketbook. Beware, I have not tried this personally, try at your own risk.

Does Anyone know a "real" price for one of these? Says 1200pp up above but I am having a hard time believing that. I just got one from the quest and am curious.

Any item in the game can be recharged....simply sell it to a merchant and then buy it back.

Hmmm, have you ever got this to work? I seem to see alot of chargeless items for sale at merchants. Please quit spreading rumors

I'm pretty sure it doesn't work with lore items either, because of the way merchants work. if you sell a merchant something, for every one of that thing you sold him, he has 4. this sure wouldn't work, seeing as how one can only carry one lore item at a time. i'm pretty sure that merchants won't even buy lore items, and if they will, you probably won't be getting it back from that merchant, as it will not show up in the window of items for sale.

Umm, what are you talking about? If you sell a merchant 1, he has 1... and you can sell lore items and also buy them from the store (if he doesn't have full inventory).
Rechargeable?
