Ugh, talk about a bad day... Doing my halfling quest (just for the sake of having done this bit of it), I've been camping these bleeding eyes for about 4 hours now, not one drop. I'm killing them as fast as I can (about 3.2 seconds for the spell to cast and loot, running to other one and repeat), and still, this stupid worthless bracelet refuses to drop for me. Back to my camp =(
camped the throne in Xorbb for about 8 hours in total last week. we got 8 hoops, 3 bracelets and lots of gems (worth maybe 200-300 pp).
nice items for an untwinked hybrid/casting char, especially the bracelet for Shaman, Necro, Druid and Ench.

I'm in highhold right now and I'm thinking whether I should try and get one of these. I'm a lvl 21 shammie and our dot spells are all over 6 ticks. I would use affliction more if it was more mana efficent mobs don't tend to last 21 ticks unless you kite or root. Affliction's our lvl 19 spell and it's 30/6/21. I have bone bracers with extended affliction I which rocks at my lvl for tainted breath when soloing. I am usually about to kill mob when it runs out now. That's a lvl 14 shammie spell and it's 10/8/7. I just wish pbb had more ac as I do melee somewhat. I like the +3 wis too I just wonder if my totemic would be better as it's a dex buff and higher ac. Dex is also supposed to help with casting. It's good for melee too. Two of these would give me like 30 more mana enough for an extra Tainted Breath or gate. I think I would look silly with one of these and one totemic, but hey people would only notice if they inspect. Any shammies out there have any thoughts? I agree with druid post soon i won't need it. I could be to lvl 24 in highhold by the time I get one of these at that point I get better 7 tick spell. true I have alot of duties besides dot, debuff, heal, buff, melee and so on. Mobs at higher lvls resist the lower lvl spells more though. Totemic wrists require you buy 153 pp dufernite though and are harder to get than these. Any thoughts? Anybody know what you need for resists for blindness? If it's magic I should bust out my shiny brass shield to take this on and put away the +9 wisdom shield I got. My screen went blank the last time i tried to get one of these and I thought my computer had @#%^ed up and I turned it off. lol.
On the surface, this sounds like a nice effect. However, if you're a wizard, the effect is pretty much useless. It's only good on spells level 20 or below, and then only on spells with a duration longer than six ticks. Since most wizard's nukes are going to be an "instant" duration, this effect does nothing.
The only sub-20th spell a wizard can cast that this will help with is the level 12 "Firestorm", which does a whopping 28 points of damage per mob per wave.
Raising the spell cap to 24 for this would be nice, at least then it would affect a spell a wizard is likely to actually use. (Lightning Storm, 75pts/mob/wave.)
So, don't look to this item for the focus effect if you're a wizard. Your only real benefit will be the +3 to INT. (Which is, in fact, a rather nice bump, especially if you have two of these.)

My friend and I (Level 27 wizard and 22 wizard) camped the Lords and EEs in gorge of king xorbb for about three hours and got 2 to drop. we also got 4 hoops and a handful of optic nerves. We had no problems with absense of tank because the eyes and lords have low hp and dont last long against wizzy nukes. But then again it was a pain when we were charmed into nuking the crap out of each other =/

Oh yeah... this is exactly why people twink new characters. It takes my 37 Druid to kill these guys (ok it's really easy with him) but I could NEVER have killed them when I could actually use the items. I'm killing them now to give to my Alts. Sony needs to make quest that are useful for the level at which you can attain the items, nuff said.

that's why you have the ability to form groups. a good group of toons around 22 can get this.

In response to the post that says, "What, at 37 you can't use a WIS 3/ INT 3 braclet?". No, at 37 a Druid should have at least Chipped Bone Braclets. WIS 5. They Drop off of the Ogre's in WK. As a 43 Druid, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about on this one. Feel free to flame me if I'm wrong.

This has been nurfed from the Evil Eyes... that or it has been changed to "you can only get this once in your natural life time and I ain't giving it to you."

yep, these used to drop every fourth kill. sadly no more :(
Nope - went online today & solo'd Lord Syrkl - Stun/Might to try to stop the Mes & blast the Eye with Wrath. It droppped the polished bone bracer, a mithril earring & an Amber.
I medded up then tried Lord Sviir, but kept getting Enthralled, so gave up on him.
Still not bad for a Level 29 Cleric :)

This is totaly wrong. It has not been nerfed. In a 3 hour camp I was able to pick up 5 of the PBB's and one PBH (polished bone hoop) off the EE's and Lords. If I had not lost the roll on Lord Soptyvr, I would have had 6 (still conned dk blue to me at lvl 37 so a few kind people helped out). I went back the next day and it was a bit slower but I did get one PBB with in an hour's time.

Went to pick up some PBB's for an easy int boost. The drop rate does not seem to be nurfed to me, as they dropped 3 in the span of about 2-3 hours. Seems to me that's about the same as it has always been. The drops do tend to be streaky from my experience: 2 drops in 20 minutes, 2 hours without one. Dropped the big cheese and he didn't have one but one Lord and one regular EE had one, don't remember which type dropped the third PBB. Hope that you have better luck finding some next time you're in there.
Why? simple. Look at necros spells list. You get Heat Blood at 12 and Heart Flutter at 16, and you DO NOT get any other DOT untill 29!!!
so you will be keep using same 2 dots for 8 levels above 20, so this is where this bracelets comes as VERY helpfull

All DoT spells under a certain level (I think its in the mid 30's) will cost only 75% of the base mana cost
It has also activated, while using Snare, and Root.
Once there was a time when all people believed in God and the church ruled. This time is called the Dark Ages.
These are still nice items for lower to mid-level players, and a relatively easier item to farm for once someone gets into their 30's. The gems they drop also fetch a few pp, and are stackable. I usually keep a supply of these for the newer guild members, as it makes a nice addition to their equipment.
The PBB is a very nice item so dont flame me for this

I looted this off an Evil Eye in East Karana on Sunday. I killed three in a row,they spawned within five minutes of each other. I spent 9 hour's each of the previous three day's without seeing one Eye. Luck of the draw I guess. Good Luck All.........

After a few hours of on and off Gorge camping (over the course of a week), I zoned to RunnyEye and tried hunting Gobbos for their Black Alloy/Iron Armour. I got about half a suit over the course of a few days. My latest group buddy was PBB farming but then the top EE spawned and he wasn't sure he could handle him on his own. I invited him into RE and we tried grouping but kept getting in over our heads. Eventually he got tired of aggroeing everything but the kitchen sink so he left for the Gorge and I continued hunting RE.
After a few minutes, he calls me back saying the Big Cheese EE's still there and would I help him kill it. I didn't want to give up RE so easily, but my pet spontaneously attacked a couple of Foeslicers and got himself dispelled so I figured it was a sign from the EQ gods that I should leave. 'What the hey', I thought. I could still hunt Evil Eyes with him and get a small amount of XP.
Well, I get there and, sure enough, there's the two Lords and the Big Cheese. I told him that I'm LM and it'll take a few minutes for me to med and get a pet. So we sit and wait. Shortly after that a higher level Barbarian walks up and asks if we mind him killing the Big Cheese for us? Great! Saves us trouble, but now I'm a little perturbed that I passed up hunting RE for this. Anyway, he kills off the Evil Eye and my groupmate goes LD before he's finished. I loot the body and get an EE Optic Nerve (Crafted Armour Quest, sweet!) and the lens (evil Cleric quest, blah!). I loot the nerve just in case my buddy comes back and start camping the Evil Eyes. It's boring work, but I still hold out for a chance at picking up a PBB.
Eventually, I run out of inventory space and getting tired of farming Evil Eyes for their junk. 'One more Eye before I log,' I think,'and then I'm heading back to the real world.' So an Evil Eye pops…Fire Bolt thrice…loot body…Hey! A Polished Bone Bracelet! I destroy a Silver Amulet and toss the bracelet in a bag.
My group buddy never did get back online. Mercado, send me a tell if you still want that Optic Nerve that dropped off the Evil Eye.

Hate to say but they've lowered the drop rate on these on the last patch.Was there for about 6 hours and 1 was droped.hehe of course it could just be my bad luck.

I still have 1 of these bracelets...There arent many int bracelets out there in the first place. Plus it is an easy kill...I farmed 4 within a few hrs.

i have only gotten 2 of these my whole eq life till last night. I go there alot because theres never anyone there and the money is great, anyhow i got one on the second kill, then another right afterwords on a reg old eye, then went to e karana to sell came back and got another on the second kill :) i was very happy to say the least hehe, sold one for 75 the other two for 100 for the pair....she really needed em )

I was sittin' in EC with my big ol' (errr, maybe small ol') wad o' cash (about 200pp) ready to buy some +wis items and I see one of these auctioned, I ask the price and he says only 40pp. I jumped on that fast. I had enough left over to buy my next circle of spells and a small wis deity. Oh yeah, I am happy. =)

When I was lvl 33 necro , remember now untwinked, I found out that these PBB dropped off of Evil Eyes, and I remembered how popular these are with the lower untwinked nec's (15-30ish depending on how poor) and of course an item that is worth 200plat dropping off a low level mob made me think "extremely rare drop" anyways I went to gorge killed eyes for about 1 hour and got 1 PBB. So I stayed for another hour and got 3, came back next day and got 4 that day, came back next day and got 2. So that was 1600 plat and I think I bought a decent item with it, can't remember what now it was awhile ago. So I made 1600plat over 3 days, but it took me over a week to sell all the PBBs.

Always check out the merchants on the day after patch, i just bought one of these for 23pp at a merchant in one of the karanas, East i believe.
People sell all kinds of good stuff to a merchant, the problem is its always way down on there inventory list. But on patch day it sits right up top where you can get great Deals on stuff

This gorge and Runnyeye have been my bank for quite sometime. I can usually sit here and kill any eye that spawns with little to no real threat of death as most everything cons green. I have looted up to six of these in a few hour camp, while other times have not seen even one in a few nights of waiting. I have found that if you are camping Runnyeye for good alloy items it is always easy to zone every once in a while and check out what the eyes are holding. Selling easily for 180-200pp a pair it is a nice supplement to anyone's income. Safe journeys & happy hunting to all.

I looted three in less than 20 minutes and a warrior friend showed to help and I didnt see antoerh for four hours and then i logged. The next day i started alkone looted two more in an hour and a shammy friend showed up and we didnt see another in 5 hours. There is no Rhyme or Reason. BTW I am NEOLOBO on MOrell Thule and I got a few of these as well as a bunch of Blackened Alloy Stuff if anyone is interested. SORRY I JUS REALIZED I AM SPEAKING OF THE GORGE OF KING XORBB SORRY. LOL

My guild Path of Light on Torv had a raid here tonight. We got 2 of these in 3 hours. We also got 8 optic nerves, and 3 eyestalks.

In one hour I looted a PBB, 2 bundle of optic nerves, and an onyx ring (no biggie). Heh, this was before a scheduled patch, so had the whole zone to myself.

I went here looking for Optic Nerves for the banded armour quest...teamed up with a lvl 31 druid (myself 27 war), and we took the eyes down easily. In just under two hours i had 4 optic nerves, 3 BH earrings, and 3 bracelets between us (2 for her, 1 for me to sell)...not a bad little earner overall :)

Yes these do drop off the EEs in E.K. I killed one out of spite last night and got one a PBB, killed two more for loot and didn't get anything.

It only shows the creatures these drop off of in Beholder's Maze. What about in Eastern Karanas and in Runnyeye?

Heya... don't know if something has changed with a patch or whatnot... but after 2 days and nearly 100 EE's me and my group has seen one fall. This is in Beholder maze.

Me and two friends have been camping that place for about 2-3 hours a day for 3 days. So far we have gotten 5-6 of the optic nerves and 5-6 Polished Bone Hoops. But not 1 bracer. We kill then every time they spawn..no down time, both sides.

I agree. Have camped them for about a total of 12 hours or more... half of which I was camping both sides solo. Have gotten 4 PBB's. They seem to not drop any for about 4 hours then you get a lucky streak of 3 in one hour. Has happened 2 nights in a row like that. Unfortunately that never happens when I'm soloing both sides =( Is why I still have only gotten 4. Remember to bring Magic Resist increasing items. Those eyes Charm & Fear REALLY well.

Yes, me and a druid friend got 4 in an hour. The lord and the EE's spawn very fast. Makes for some good loot.

About half of the time a regular EE will drop one too, not just the LORDS.
