Stonebrunt mountains is the best place to farm high quality but unfortunately its a very ugly zone with high cliffs. Farming pelts in Stonebrunt = max safefall

I tried Stonebrunt, but you must travel somewhat between two mobs as long-distance vision is not too great because of the mountain (and I'm not a ranger...).
Instead I find West Karana to be a very good hunting place, especially about the guard tower in the middle of the map (loc: -781, -4276, +42). There is a lot of cat-like mobs (lions, lionesses,...), they drop quite often a High Quality Cat Pelt and they repop fast. (PS: I also killed the wolves and the bears in case they would be place holders for the cat-like mobs).
Another option is to slaughter the young pumas in their cavern at Crescent Reach. The drop rate is not that great, but this is compensated by the extreme repop rate and the facts that they are very quickly killed.

Tried Stonebrunt too slow.. To big of area.
Tried West Karana as you suggested.. Way better plus the bonus of Spider, Spiderling, and Wolf and Bear pelts !!

"A Sleek Panther" in Nedaria's Landing. The cats are plentiful in the same area as the Serene Griffawns.
let me know please, if you know a good spot to hunt HQ cat pelt. i head about EK ...

if you are looking for quality cat pelts try stonebrunt mountains. The cats there drop pelts almost every time and often 2 at a time ... and they are never ruined ;) in half an hour of hunting (if you can kill quickly) its not unusual to have a stack of LQ ,half a stack of MQ and 5 or 6 HQ pelts.. very nice for a tailor in training or a smith needing pelts for padding.

These are used to make Fleeting Quiver I think; They go for about 300 on Ayonae Ro (If you're patient:)

Actually you are mistaken friend. The HQ LION Skin is used for making the Fleeting Quiver. I made three of them - I WISH this common skin was used. )
