I have one of these as a shaman, I usually use a Iksar regen BP but for raids this is my BP of choice. With a enshrouded veil, Froglok helm, Tribal war boots, Stone of Morid, Lodizal Sheild, Sarnak Battle Sheild and some other +FR gear I can get to 170 FR BEFORE I use spells. Very nice BP for when you need high FR. AFAIR, I only paid around 1kpp for this, maybe less.

I am currently trying to get one of these for my poor Trollop beastlord. It's hard to fight anywhere thats hot when my starting fire resist is 5. Ac has my Tizmak Surcoat beat, and i would love another 5 wis
It drops as well from the normal worshiper too. I looted one today
I'm a 60 druid and I use this tunic when raiding in ToV, much better than my cc chestguard for the situation and the 5 wisdom is a bonus too, of course once i get my SS chest I probably won't be using this one anymore but still a nice piece of resist gear, also very helpful for old world dragons like faydedar.
The +20svf makes this a great item for a Naggy raid. That would be the only time that I'd wear this thought. You can get armor with more AC/stats at the same lvl it takes to get this.

I probably wouldn't wear this as a ranger either... However, as a wood elf druid the 5 wis is nice at the level you could get it and wood elves are always seeking str ;). Also I don't see many wood elf druids complaining about 18 ac. Might be able to convince a shaman or cleric to wear it as well.

I was escatatic when this dropped in a casual guild group I was in.
I do Temple of Veeshan raids twice a week and had been wearing a netted kelp tunic for the svf. This has the svf of netted kelp and gives me back 5 wis to boot. (the str is just icing on the cake)
Don't discount this after level 45 just because you *can* get better armour. It was only in my 50s that resist gear became crucial in many situations.

Ive cleared the entire fire guys area. Which area did he spawn in? The huts, near the rock, or on the temple itself?

the drops off the Tro Jeg Firekeeper that spawns on the plateau in Scarlet Desert... Random spawn, all tro jeg on the plateau are ph's.

they should have kept the leather design, but made it orange-ish red... that would have made it look sweet... i still want it, it's better than the foreman's

This is not "best suited" for any class or any race as with all armor. If the stats are better than what you have now, then use this. If not, then sell it or give to a twink that can wear it. The only class/races that items are "best suited" for, are the ones that are listed as who can wear.

High is right, this has Shaman written all over it but by 45, should be targetting Velious Armor or at least Jaundiced. I get aggro almost every time I slow or debuff in a tough are such as Kael. AC is getting more and more important. And as for BL, great as well but level 45 brings alot of changes so unless buying in 30s or earlier, prolly not worth the effort.
PS Lots of the other classes above would get good use out of this item. 5 wis is big for the priests and hybrid... This is an upgrade on Blood Stained Tunic.

I agree that a shaman oughta be looking at other pieces, but unless you are talking about camping for the Jaundiced Bp, I wouldn't look to that one right away. Jaundiced Bp is almost never seen for sale, and it goes for well over 30K. At that price for a shaman the Fungi tunic is far better when grouped (Though the AC on Jaundiced is nice when solo)
Hm... last I checked, no level 45's going to be camping the J-Bone BP. It drops off Trakanon, which on Brell is generally a 55+ event.
However, for shamans there are several other nice BP's that are fairly commonly sold (sebilite scale, froglok scale) that a 45 could probably afford. Since druids and beastlords can't wear those, they're probably more likely to spend the time/money to get this item.

Druids need AC, you know how many times ive been summoned or beat on because of Fixation of Ro or Ro's firey sundering. I can imagine the agro of the new Luclin Ro spell. Not to mention its REALLY tough to find a good druid tunic.

seems that troll shamans would benefit the most form this as they have base fire resist of 5.
Even more precisely a certain 49 troll shaman who plays on a PvP server who has the grave misfortune of always running into only 50+ druids in his travels.....

nice upgrade to a blood stained tunic even tho you get 1 more wisdom pt its 1 you can still survive with.
I was hunting last weekend in Scarlet Desert with some guildmates - 52 Wizard, 56 Monk, & 44 Pally and got one of these along with some other fairly nice drops. We have tried to go back and get more, but it is indeed a rare drop. The +20 FR is not too shabby. Plus the AC & STR are better than my old Shroud of Nature.

Please change this to rare. This is the Firekeeper's rare drop. Have killed dozens and dozens and only seen this once.

Yep a Tro Jeg Firekeeper drops this up on the stone plateau. I've been there tracking for several days and have not seen another one on track. So I would say he's rather rare. As far as con, I believe he was a white or blue con to me at lvl 45.

Got his very common drop the 5 ac 2 wis cruddy sandals.. Did the tro jegs up there for a while and he was only there once =/ The respawn for any of the spots is about 18 minutes so really even if I had lots of help would not make it that much faster.
