I beg to differ. Forage doesn't work that much? I have a lvl 25 Druid and he is always picking stuff up. Most of the time I have to end up destroying what he picks up because I have nowhere to put it. I can't remember the last time he bought food or water from a merchant. lol

The difference there though is that your's is a druid ability, whereas with an Iksar it is an innate skill and therefor doesn't increase in skill. It's like hide for Dark Elves and such. Just something to think about.

ok here's the break down on why iksar can't waer this.........
plate armor can only be WORN by plate RACES...so the moral of the story is, a half druid can waer because halfling warriors can wear, but a iksar monk can't wear because no iksar can wear plate, the down side to having an ac bonus from being scaled *shurg* not a big deal.
so in lamen's terms, i repeat:
if the race can waer plate, then there are items that classes can wear that are plate even though they're class can't normally wear plate ( called a loop hole)
but if their race can't wear plate, then no class of that race can wear plate
