Our group noticed that only one character at a time may apply the elixir to a single mob. If more than one at a time, you'll get a message saying someone else already applied an elixir. Or a message close that to that so remember, one toon at a time per mob.

Any useful info on how to apply vial?
"Fight the shrubs and trees in the glade down to about 50% health, at which point you can use the elixir on them. Eligible targets include "a blackbriar," "a tottering treant," "a desiccated treeling"."
