Currently, the Crown has an issue where some of them won't proc the spell. It says "item is out of charges" when the item is supposed to have unlimited charges. In this case, a GM has to be contacted and you must destroy the crown and have the GM replace it. It's a pain.
Most Wild Lord's armor proc spells that Beastlords get anyway at level 39. These pieces have been selling in GF for 500pp each and in one instance I saw someone just trying to get rid of a piece for 250 just to clear it out of his/her inventory.
There's not many Beastlords near GF and certainly not many with an excess of PP to buy these pieces of armor for "K prices".

I'm not sure where the stat info listed above came from, or if VI just recently fixed the stats, but I just bought this crown in EC about 30 minutes ago. Here are the true item stats:

I have a pair of wild lord's gauntlets and they too have no effect. Bummer, hopefully it's a mess up because the 6ac sucks if that's all.

If this picture is accurate, then this item is basically the same as the quest caps that most beastlords can get from their hometown guilds... only this has a lot more weight, and no stats. Yes, hopefully this will have some nice effect placed on it at a later date; as much as this class depends on their pet to do anything remotely useful, the effect could be some kind of pet buff or heal or something. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

A week ago my friends and I got one. But it had also some stats. If i remember right it was AC4 4WIS 4STR 4svfire 4svmagic and no effect.

More likely a mischevious rogue snuck up behind him and gave it to him. I've gotten fishing grubs from the Maestro of Rancor because of those sneaky bastiches.

I doubt this has anything to do with a quest this is a common drop therefore it probably serves as the junk loot alternate for something else...on caster's realm they mention froggy dropping a 50+ lvl beastlord spell..so this is probably just junk loot.

point is maybe thats its for a future quest? not all items dropped are designed to be used as is.....
Yeah, but this is supposed to be the head slot of the Kunark Beast lord armor, you know, the armor where every piece is supposed to have an effect on it?
not all kunark armor has effects on every peice take a gander at BE and others the bp is nice pants suck the rest is just fodder for newby twinks.
Hate to burst your bubble but just spent 10 minutes looking up all the Kunark class specific armor dropped in KC and OS, All of them have effects on every piece. The Effects may not always be that useful, but they do have them. And seeing as Wild Lords is the name of the BST Kunark Class Specific armor this SHOULD have an effect.
ummm. Whats the point? No effect makes this worthless, get an executioners hood or something more AC and stats, hopefully verant will give it an effect before too long
