This dropped off a Poisoned Sunflower for me today.
Just got one off of a Gigantic Sunflower. And wanted to add that it has no graphic, so I hope they fix that. Luclin stuff usually looks unique )

It does have a graphic. It's a pulsating cloudy thing kind of like the shield magicians can summon.
I'm guessing that the lack of graphic (confirmed) is deliberate. Hence the name *Passive* Sunshield....

I got this shield off a slugish sunflower. It seems that all the good items here are random drops off the rare spawn named mobs, just like on the elemental island in Twilight sea.

The items on the island in Twilight Sea are not random. The name of the elemental determines the drop. Hulking elementals drop the 2 forms of the earthen gaunts, the ac 10 +5 str and ac 12 +10 str ones. The Greater elementals drop the 2 variations of the firespun cloth sleeves (+3 int/wis/str saves and +5 int/wis/str saves). Gigantic drop the lesser cap of health and I would assume there would be a greater form but I have yet to get it. There are also the 4 major named elementals there Aero, Hydro, Terra and Inferno with static drops with a greater and lesser form.

I got 4 pair of earthen gaunts while I was there over 6 days, one off a hulking earth, one off a greater earth, one off a swift water, and one off a swift air. Seems kinda random to me.
We also got the lesser guard of haste for my wife. Haven't been back since we killed Aero.

Lol, at lvl 30 i still rock the sbs, and ghoulbane. I want this bad boy, i figue it'll help me out fo a few moe lvls, till i get my epic, and the back wearable sheilds.

I have a helpful suggestion, since I am a lvl 34 pally with Ghoulbane, get the Crested Sheild in Mist Moore, it has +10 ac, +10 vs M/P/D and +6 Dex which helps for Ghoulbane to process a bit more often. This Sheild is nice but I prefer Crested until I can get a better upgrade. getting the Crested is probably far more easier than this sheild. But dont get me wrong this is a good sheild if you can get it, but there are more items out there to raise Str and Wis. This is my humble opinion.
being a noble paladin myself i can tell you that at a lower level this is a nice shield however by the level the mob is and what level you should be you should really be maxing out your 2hs. don't worry too much on str or wis, worry more about dex and sta mainly. once you get your sta to 101+ then you can worry about other stats. just remeber we're not tanks, thats what warriors are for, we're there to beat the hell out of the mob and keep the group alive when then cleric goes 00m or LD :)

a shield that is only one ac better then a CGS less mana but less i guess weight.. drops by a 45th + zone.. I have been looking over all the new stuff droping it all great middle level stuff you know 30-45 but starting a 1st level character i have seen better on a handydown item then this.. Just my option.

I got some kinda ring from this dude int 2 +5 cold +5 heat +5 dis, I belive /shrug. he spawned just right of the zone in from TwS the spot closest to the zone but I've killed those two mobs a dozen times sence and he hasent spawned
