Nice hammers
# Oct 03 2004 at 6:27 AM Rating: Default
this is a great weapon for a monk. My monk has used them since level on, although he's still only 13. He has two f these and does great damage. At level 20 i'm switching off to x2 Stave of Sheilding which are 17/28 and proc major shielding at 50. I might look into getting a T staff or a 2hb with a 1 or better dmg/dly ratio, but until then these things are nasty

Another sweet deal

Bought this in the Bazaar for 240pp for my beastlord. Dual wielding this with Intel's is pretty impressive I must say since they both have the same graphic, a large Thor-like ice mallet with a face on the sides.
oops...

I'm using these on my warrior, not my pally.

Nice weapon

One of the most underestimated weapons for a warrior IMHO. I picked up two of these for a total of 1500p. Yes, 2! With an RBG, these do well. I'm happy with them and they look pretty cool too!

As soon as I read this, I immediately farmed all the merchants in FG...to no avail. Sometimes I cannot believe what people sell to a merchant.

Nice deal.

I just traded Master Wu's Trance Stick for this weapon, was it a good trade?
RE: Trade
# Jul 02 2002 at 12:55 PM Rating: Good
Yes - you definetely got the good end of the 'stick'... on my server (Luclin) this thing would sell for 2.5-3.5k whereas a Wu's goes for maybe 1.5-2k... plus this is clearly a much better weapon. Still very fast and has that 2 disease damage.

lucky trade for you. :)

Kick Butt Weapon
# May 08 2002 at 9:47 AM Rating: Decent
I got one of these the other day, replacing one of my fighting batons. It upped my average damage output (this includes all damage from both my hammer and my baton) by over 30% average, and some single hits 50%. This is a great weapon for the price because they can still get had reasonable, and people don't realize how hard this thing really can hit when the disease damage kicks in. You could easily keep this one weapon into your early 50's and be very happy with it. I'm presently looking for a second one for my off hand on Vazaelle, let me know if you have one!

Ok, I need something explained. I see people selling these for 3k and whatnot; to me, this seems to be worth far more... am I missing something? Basically, it's a 12/21 1hb, when you consider the Disease Damage (+2) unless you are dealing with mobs that are highly disease resistant, correct? So, with comparable 1hbashers selling for 8-9 and even 10kpp, why does this sell so cheap>? 1.5kpp? Kidding?
3 reasons to get one
# Apr 12 2002 at 1:39 PM Rating: Excellent
I just love this hammer. Got one for 1.5k on morell thule the other day and boy what a friggin amazing deal.

3 reasons why this is a good weapon

looks sweet
awesome performance
see above =P

Only bad thing is no stats, so i am gonna go for this in 1 hand and centi ls in the other for the str/sta. haven't got any haste atm but still double attackin for 30 dmg as fast as lammy (at level 22!) and sure to get some SCHW tomorrow so i can't wait to see how it goes with those ).

last word = awesome weapon, if u can get it for less than 5k consider urself lucky it's worth it easily, just act quickly! ppl don't know about it yet.

just reportin on progress -

lol i bought myself another one of these dudes, and i am doin more damage with them EASILY than by using a centi long in offhand and centi short in primary (i kno i kno - centi short *sigh* i cant b bothered 2 get better lol)

with schw, i hit every second or so - normally double attack and normall dual weilding. Primary hits from 0 - 45 dmg second 0-35. Very funny to do 130 dmg on the pull in one attack hehe.

I would like to see what this looks like. Does anybody have a pic of this? If so, please give us a link to the site.

Also, How does disease DMG work? Does it work like Bane DMG or the DMG bonus you get as you level?

Thanks

The listed price on this thing (currently 2k) is a joke. This item wastes a Lammy or Jmace in taunt, damage, and appearance; and Lammies and Jmaces are currently going for 4k on MT. You really have to get up to a Guard Captain's Mallet in order to have a superior 1hb, and it's generally about 10k and only slightly better than this hammer. I value mine at 8k each, and I wouldn't take less than that for them. Why should I, when you can't possibly replace them for less?

I'm currently dual-wielding these on my troll warrior, and I have several times out-taunted melees eight levels higher than me, even with the same haste. I have had literally dozens of people ask me about them and compliment me on how nice they are. Good idea- get one. Better idea- get two. Best idea- get three, and give one to your best friend. You get the picture. If you are a warrior, there IS no more Lammy. All hail the new king of under-10k warrior weapons!

not dissing this wep by any means (just got one on my 57 Half-Epic'd ranger to go with Swiftwind, with only a 93 1hb it is an EXCELLENT weapon, i think when my 1hb gets high enough it will be comparable with my 11/20 Serrated Cutlass of Hatred, the only downside is no stats so i will prolly stick with Cutlass and give this to an alt) but your lvl might have been part of the reason u could outtaunt em, things generally go for lower lvls cuz easy pickings.. dont believe me? see for yourself.. use the same thing, same haste neither of u taunt or pull, and just both be different lvls. the lower lvl will get more agro due to lvl usually. dont ask why /shrug

as a side note, picked this up for 900pp last night on Torv, great wep. even better because there is no Rec or Req lvl so i could give it to a lvl 1 twink if i so desired (and i might once i get my 1hb up).

If anyone gets one of these and is interested in trading it for a lammy send me an email at Ragz45@hotmail.com. I can move to your server to do the trade with legends.

I just got one of these 2 nights ago from a named Fungusbeast in FG doing the Caller Groo quest. Not only does the attack/delay ratio rock, but the graphics on this hammer are awesome. I highly recommend getting one, if you have the means.
Nice Ratio
# Dec 22 2001 at 10:10 AM Rating: Decent
Better Ratio than a Cane of Tranquil for Warriors and Monks. CoT is 11/25 this is 10/21 and i bet this will end up being less expensive
RE: Nice Ratio
# Jan 27 2002 at 9:40 PM Rating: Default
dont forget about the +2 disease dmg :P rock this **** up to 12/21 ....im sure this will influence some people to get that 1hb up :)
RE: Nice Ratio
# Feb 10 2002 at 7:44 AM Rating: Default
Lol, good point. This is the reason i keep a bag full of weapons on my warrior for practice, you never know when a gem like this will fall into your lap. With most mobs not having a high resistance to disease I really want one of these
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 21 2001 at 5:49 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well, because it has nothing beneficial to any of those classes? If you can get this item you are not meleeing anyway...because your damage outpat sucks. Sit down and med or check someone's buffs if you are fom. Any more questions ya friggin ******?

Actually, many shamans are able to do fairly good damage when buffed themselves and fom, and if they're working as a secondary healer they don't need to be doing the heal/med dance, except in emergencies.

However, in my experience, usually a meleeing-shaman's weapon of choice is piercing (for epic) over 1HB, though I've seen a fair number of 1HBs too.

#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 21 2001 at 5:40 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Not for Clerics, Shamans, or Druids. Anyone know why?
RE: Healing types
# Mar 08 2002 at 5:30 PM Rating: Default
Hmm, it's got no wisdom or mana, and it hits hard and fast enough to create significant taunt. Why would you want it on a healer, anyway?

because a blunt weapon doesnt always equal priest caster usable. just like a spear doesnt always equal shaman useable.

It appears this weapon is for melee types only. Just sayin, have a day...
