This was a major upgrade as I had no 2hb. I started using this with VoV and I was averaging around 1k a wack. 400ish on non crit..800ish crit on vov (which seems to proc everytime I swing) plus a range of 79-300ish on the actual swing. So I was doing pretty dang good dps overall with this stick. I enjoy the clicky buff when I remember to use it. But overall its a good stick for those who are casual and dont get higher end gear.
For what it's worth, this is the only shaman (and cleric, druid) usable droppable item with a clicky mana pool buff as of July 2008.
It also (six years later!) beats the ratio of the Greatstaff of Power and is therefore the best caster 2HB in the game in terms of melee DPS. It has the same DMG as the Dathor Great Hammer and thus the max non-crit hit is in the low 300s for casters.
As a side note, the weapon it's based on had BSTs and BERs mistakenly added when those classes came out - it's meant to be a caster only thing. A similar thing happened with the Fungus Covererd Great Staff. At least it means it's been itemised with the melee types in mind, though, as I bet the ratio would have been far worse if they'd been left off!

the Eye of Dreams also has this same clicky, and is available in PoTimeB off of Bertoxxulous, so you have been misinformed with this bit of information, as I am pretty sure the Bertox still drops this, even though nobody may hunt him/it anymore. Also you may not be aware of this item because the stats are not the greatest.

Note the "droppable" in my post. ;)
Until now the only way of getting that click was to obtain a nodrop item, either from Time or T3/T4 SoF. Having the click so readily available makes this item a real boon for the more casual player.
