16 / 29 - 5 magic dmg - 15ac - 12dex. Let's step back a minute and look at what this blade offers. Excellent offhand weapon for those needing dex, especially hybrid classes - Mod to Div. Yet the only drawback is the -5 to str / sta. But if your a Ranger in need of Dex or any class in need of dex with 5k to spare for a nice offhand weapon... I'd recommend this anyday. A deadly duo would be a Blackened Acrylia Blade / Lsoee, - I know from exp -

Posted:Jun 24 2003 at 9:04 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) So far the best beserking combo i know of is LSoEE in primary, and Defenders Lightblade in offhand, you cripple for 200 a LOT, and im level 51 warrior. try this, its great!
16/29 is the ratio, 5% magic damage not included. Yeah, we all know that with every swing there is a SVMagic check against the mob attacked. So every swing, damage is 16 thru 21. I must say that with my personal usage of this blade, it is almost constantly 21 damage. I have taken my 2hs skill-up blade; the silver swiftwind which is 16/24 and watched the damage output and compared that with the LSoEE. My max hits are around 84 to 90 with the 16damage 2hs. Now keep in mind there is even a higher damage bonus on the 2hander then the LSoEE. But with the LSoEE I dish out max 131 damage quite regularly. Most average 85 to 100. So, to sum this up- the LSoEE gives me a way closer ratio to 21 damage then 16. Making this weapon, well, a 21/29. With epic haste from Swiftwind (40%) and group haste in PoP...my screen is constantly yellow with high~yeilding damage, and I am very happy to have this blade and consider it very underrated, so I have posted this compliment to it.

Posted:Apr 25 2003 at 12:19 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) a sword worthy of the quest involved to get it... pls say that was a joke, the quest was TOO EASY thats why it was nerfed. ppl could do the quest under 4 hours sell the sword for 5-6k go back do it again, there would of been a flood of uber weapons, my only complaint is them making it no longer drop they could of thrown it on a dragon in NToV or something...
I was under the impression that they had nerfed this quest and you could no longer get the LSOEE but now got the Scimitar of Etheral Energy. Anyone know? If so would love to get my hands on it again.
Thanks in Advance,

...but could someone give me Pros/Cons/Comparison for this vs. Wurmslayer? I'm interested in purchasing one (possibly). I already own a Wurmy, and enjoy it quite a bit, but would like to know if it would benefiet a 35 warrior to add this to my collection. Thanks :)
Depending what your role as a warrior will be. As a maintank nor wurmy or this will be good, as assist maybe wurmy would be good enough. But I only see wurmy for one thing and thats when you want to dual vield in pvp. But then really you should get a 2hander. but as for this and wurmy get this. It has better ratio overall and isn't questable.
This blade is multi use-full and is a hard hitting mo-fo. Juggle the stats and the ac, it may benefit you. In any case 15ac and 12 dex with a harsh offhander aint bad. To each his own).
..mid 50's ranger. Got silvery haste belt with a Frostbringer and LSoEE combo. These two weaps give my ranger an extra 22 raw ac. Not bad. Haste belt helps with the not so fast delay (22) of FB. All I can say is DPS is constant and brutal, and begins to border orgasmic when grouped with mad haste ..maxin about 122 damage atm with my offhand. not bad ;p. That is all.
if yall rangers out there with decent dex(160+) and want a real combo do dish out massive dmg..this weapon + a frekin steel hilted flint dagger is what you are looking for i had the dagger proc 3 times in a row with 153dex and procs at least once in a battle in a fast grp if youre in a slow grp with shaman ....with this combo ...you would MAKE the grp a fast killing grp
When a weapon has magic dmg like this one, does it add 5 dmg to what you hit for? or does it add more than 5...sorta depending on level ie: at level 1 with a 3 dmg weapon you do 9 or 10 dmg, at 60 with a 3 dmg weapon you hit for 21...
From my understanding this is how it works. When you try to hit an npc, it has to make a check against SVM. If the npc makes a successful check vs. magic, then the weapon hits as if it were 16/29 only. If the npc fails the save then it hits as a 21/29 weapon. Again, i'm not 100% but I believe this is how +magic damage works (as well as +fire, cold, disease, etc).
ack, i forgot about how damage bonus is calculated. Any help is appreciated, since i know how much that has been discussed (i literally JUST forgot). Thanks everyone!
The damage bonus does not add onto the original weapon damage, it is a modifier for the amount of the damage done. Example: You are using a 5/21 with a damage bonus of 3. That does not turn the weapon into a 8/21, it makes it so you can never do below 3 damage with the bonus added on. At least thats what I hear, don't flame me if I'm wrong.
damage bonas in my exp. is not added to the end damage but rather added to the multiplier. ie. a 13/21 wep w/ a 9 damage bonas is a 22/21 wep. i know this bicaule i have a 13/21 wep w/ a 9 damage bonas and i hit for 1 sometimes meaning it cant be added to the end damage. i hope this helps.

How do you think a LSoEE in primary and a Sarnak Parrying Blade in offhand would work for a ranger? I know they not are very fast but I dont wanna take aggro.
the blade is transparent, much more noticeable in outdoor zones or zones with a light ground (Marus Seru, any Velious zone, etc). It's fairly small when I'm in halfling form but the sword looks much better when I'm in Iksar or Erudite form since it's larger.
I took my helmet off so it wouldn't block the blade. It's hard to see but the blade is slightly transparent. Not as cool looking as the Ranger epics but still not a dull looking sword.
LOL. Did you guys never see a Velious weapon before ? I'm a bit disappointed actually when I traded one for a Holgresh Bead Necklace :) .. that it looks exactly like a Crystallized Sword. But I'll live :)
Anymore I've seen them for around 9k, atleast on Vazaelle. Seems that the people who could afford them have already bought them, and now it's open for the 'normal' player, using the term loosely of course.
They took out the quest mob right when I got done collecting the items needed. I waited and waited, mob came back and I quickly turned in all my items so I can finally leave lucin and go back to skyfire. looked into bag to see scimitar. Someone wanted to sell me the long sword for 3kpp but I was too mad to buy it. I wanted sword but I should have gotten long sword by quest instead of scimitar. Now I see people WTB long sword for 10kpp... *sigh..* can't sell scimitar for even 700pp
all i can say is i love this sword. i found out about this quest very early on. with a 45 ranger i was able to solo every mob and complete quest in about 3 to 6 hours, depending on maricella camp. Ebban wasnt easy, but once i learned his pathing i was able to arrow kite him all over the city and never get hit once. anyway i have to say i exploited this quest and was doign it 1 to 2 times a day till nerfed. i hooked all my friends up with it and sold and traded many of them. all and all i made well over 100k in cash from this quest till it was nerfed. i was upset when it finally was but i cant say i didnt make out like a bandit on this one. even though i dont even use this sword anymore i still keep one in the bank just for memorys sake hehe
15 ac for an offhander, 1.812 ratio with 16 damage is Awesome! Personally I can deal with the 5 str and stam loss, considering the 12 dex will help my Frostbringer in primary to proc. The AC from the Frosty and the LSOEE combined give my ranger 22 more AC. That is insane. That is awesome. Coupled with a haste belt (silvery contention) I must say I am pleased with the damage output, the whole combo, AC included all in all for my ranger. The fact that the LSOEE no longer drops, inevitably means the price will hold steady ground, if not increase as well as antique value. Hehe 15ac offhand 16 dam 1.812 ratio. Two thumbs up.
Not a bad weapon. Combined with Swiftwind secondary and LsoEE primary. I see Lvl 50+ wars running around with this and frostbringer. I was pretty impressed with this weapon that i got one for my 45 war with bloodfire primary. "even though bloodfire aint proc'n now"
Now with the war i get some nice eye candy crits, and more better crips! and no more 1 damage hits.
55 ranger 45 war.
btw got both lsoee's for 15k each... ouch, but worth it.
u payed about 5-3k more on yers each then i would have to on my server. I have a friend who could sell me one fer about 9l.....i am saving up fer it atm. =)
I love this thing, only problem is is that I get tells and harrassed from individuals looking to buy it. One thing if i was seling I would be auctioning. Now the fun part they offer me a bunch of stuff that I don't need for it.
I'm sorry I won't trade it. They then ask how much I would be willing to sell it. hmmm 300k they usually leave me alone after this but to me this is how much this weapon is worth. I don't care what the average pc on it is.
Whoa! Before the flames start again.....I entered the price once, the site/database decided to put in 14 entries for me. Might be what some of the problems referenced up above are.

sitting in ec sombody walks up and offers to trade this and crusty gauntlets for my lammy and silver chitten handwraps... not realizing the quest was so easy i thought it was a fair trade.. 1 week later lsoee is selling for 4.5k down from 8k 2 weeks later 4k.. another week.. nerfed.. 15k? 20k?... You traded well, this weapon is fantastic which is why it was removed basically. The quest was NOT really that easy at the time though.. it took me 2 and a half hours just to get the dagger drop off that lady in Paludral. It was sort of easy when only a few people knew about it I guess. Once there was always a line and the guy in the bar in fungus was always dead, it was harder.
My 36 sk has this and it frankly beats the crud out of a noct blade which people always try to sell for around 9 k or more. So I'm sure happy I got this before possibly buying a noct. This has FIFTEEN AC ON IT and the 10 mr and 12 dex are not hay either (as a troll sk the dex is nice.. mine was kind of low with crusty plate on)
The ratio is not that marvelous, but with the 15 ac and the fact that if the 5 damage is added in on a hit its a 29 spd 21 damage weapon this thing is really nuts. I originally thought that the 5 damage was only added on after the end so it would always be just a 29 spd 16 dam weapon plus 5 damage AFTER the fact, but the people on the safehouse.org with all their log parsers set me straight, if the 5 damage is applied its 5 more to the RATIO damage ;)
This is really a great weapon for an sk and pally and I'd probably also use it in the primary hand for a ranger or warrior until they were pretty darn high level and had something a lot better then this would be great in the off hand. If I had a ranger or warrior twink right now I'd get the post nerf scimitar and have that in their off hand at dual wield level.. fun combo with 2 ac weapons ;)
Not sure if its worth 19 k but seeing what else goes for 19 k I'd say it was. Its not in the game now. You might be using this for a long time really.
I'm looking to get one of these for my rogue. 15 ac along with 12 dex in the offhand? Perfect.
edit: woohoo found one finally.. CentiLS goes in the bank. EXCELLENT offhand for my rogue. I was hitting low 50s with the CentiLS; LSoEE I'm hitting low 70s (can't wait to break skill caps at 51). Another added benefit is the light weight of the sword; CentiLS 6.5, LSoEE 2.0. I don't have to ask for ZING in long battles as much anymore.
WOW l cant believe it l've seen this thing up for 15k in EC on Karana server already, l got this sword a little while ago for 3500pp and l use it with a frostbringer and l wouldnt sell if it was worth 50k, its a great sword and it just got better now they nerfed it hehe.
I just leveled to 55 so this info is as a 54 Barbarian Warrior, I have an interesting theory here. What got me thinking about it was that I usually use a Defiance in Primary and Frostbringer in offhand for primary tanking situations. Even with this fast combo and all skills maxed I sometimes had trouble maintianing aggro over guildmates who are level 60. I use the Frostbringer in main and the LSoEE in offhand for times when I am just there for dealing damge. Here is what is odd, the last couple times grouping in Maiden's Eye, I was secondary behind a 58 pally (we did it to humor the pally) I found myself continually pulling aggro from the paladin without taunting. I switched to fast weapons to check difference and got no aggro. This goes totally against conventional theory of speed and hits = more aggro. Soooo.. I am wondering if the check the weapon does against magic creatures to add the extra damage or not, acts as a resisted spell at times which would explain the insane aggro on only certain mobs. No idea on how to prove or disprove this idea but got to admit it's an interesting concept. Still a dam nice sword either way you look at it.
Afer reading some of these posts, it seems like some of you are mislead by the damage bonuses. there is not a damge bonus of 11 for everyone, it depends on your level. like starting at level 30, i believe, you get an extra damage bonus every so many levels, just thought i would point that out, in case some may have missed that.
Bah piss on all these wussy 1hs, go with a sweet 2hs and it'll take ye far. Oh, and for taunt factor just ask anyone in Crimson Tempest how well I taunt with 2hs =).
Belgrim Icereaver Shogun of Kaladim Crimson Tempest
Leave the 1hs to the Rangers. We are adept with dual weilding, can Jolt if we need to, and are meant to inflict as much (typically more) damage than the Warriors. And the LSoEE is a perfect choice for a Ranger. I used dual Lammies through most of my later life and that's an aggro magnet. The LSoEE/CentiLS combo I'm using now is beautiful, as it isn't QUITE as fast as a pair of Lammies (therefore, less aggro) but does a lot more damage overall than the Lammies (that's the goal).
2hs? Bah. Leave those to the pallies and get those poor guys some haste stuff.

Dont be a dumb ass Rangers suck. Oh im gonna tank for my group with 1000hp ohh ohhh pfft you go to Maidens eye and try to tank and if you are able to kill ONE i will make a ranger.
you better make a ranger then :P i am a 58 ranger and i have personally tanked in ME. I also have been in quite a few groups in ME where rangers were the MA. Dont get me wrong im not on this kick where i think rangers can tank anything, but in regular XP groups its quite possible.
Tilagnor, what are you saying? Do you really want him to defile our class? Don't listen to him man...stick to your Pally or Warrior or whatever you are. Leave the Rangers to those with a little bit more style in their playing.

My 52 Halfling warrior uses a Guard Captains Mallet (11/20 6ag/dex 45 hps) in primary and a LSoEE in the Secondary. Always seeing 150s as crits on my LSoEE. Got a 186 last night in Kael. I used to use a Club of the Ice Ocean in primary and LSoEE in secondary..but had a harder time getting aggro. Slower times on primary will do this...now with the mallet...having no problems. I wear a Sash of Dragonborn with usual Snake so having no haste problems.
Since I have no luck getting the parser I downloaded to work, could I get some help from some of you knowledgable folks please?
***I am the primary tank for my main 6 person grp. I am level 60 halfling warrior and my main concern is keeping agro first, second tanking, and third dishing out damage. (on raids its all about damage for me)
Configurations I am debating are:
1) LSEE primary SwiftBlade secondary Allows me to wear high ac gear in normal haste spot and with my normal grp chanter haste I am at 104% haste.
or
2) Jade Mace primary LSEE secondary sash of dragonborne In this combo my haste drops to 90% ? and I lose about 18 AC and some other stats from not being able to equip my SOL belt.
I have alot of other misc 1 handed weapons but nothing spectacular. Sure I would use a velium warsword if I could find one. :)
I have not noticed any taunt difference in either combo and the LSEE really dishes out some major damage in the primary.
I put these stats in the weapon analyser on the net and it said the jade mace primary LSEE secondary would do 100 more damage a minute. Was something like 1608 I think.
Any constructive suggestions on which combo is better would be appreciated.
I hate to say it but you are a bit confused. Putting aside your weapon mistake for a second...HASTE ITEMS DO NOT STACK. The rule is 1 haste item will stack with 1 haste spell will stack with 1 bard haste song.
In addition, there are haste caps that Verant has put in place. 80% is the max if I remember correctly.
What really sucks is now all the rest of your info becomes unusable. Please check things out before you post. We want these boards to be full of usable knowledge not wishful flighty thinking.

100 percent haste means that you do (RNG aside) 100 percent more damage over time. Ergo, you attack twice (100 percent is normal, plus 100 percent makes for 200 percent, or 2 times normal). Simple math here. If you're attacking twice as often, what does that do to your delay? Effectively its cut in half (the reciprocal of 2). 100 percent haste with a Wurmy (god forbid) does not mean you are hitting with a 25 damage 0 delay weapon, that would be too sweet. Instead, it means that your weapon is effectively 25 20.
With this sword, at 100 percent haste, you're talking something along the lines of a 14.5 delay, half of 29 delay. I know of at least one ranger who is very happily wielding one of these with his Swiftwind (40 percent haste) at 56 . . .
I am not 100% sure. But If I understand correctly, For a main tank wanting to hold aggro... You need a Fast Primary - yes agreed. But Theory has it too that you also want a fast secondary ( when dual weild is hit - if the weapon is not ready then you wont swing ) <-- thats the part I am usure of. I have 2 combos I use and really have no troubles keeping taunt... but this is what I do :
For Primary Tanking : Pri : Lammy 9/19 Sec : J. Mace 9/18
For Secondary or Solo Pri : LSoEE 16/29 Sec : Centi Long 14/27 ( trying to buy jagged sword -- 16/30 Making it pri and LSoEE sec mainly cause I believe that secondary theory I stated in above paragraphs...)
Just my 2 cents....
BTW - with your weops I'd choose Combo #1 despite going against the theory of the sec not being ready.
OK! For those of you that still believe that that dual wield is dependant upon the delay of the primary weapon (that dual wield checks after the primary swings to see if the off-hand weapon is ready to swing) you need to forget that! There is an excellent thread on the safehouse website that features a lot of great facts and studies people have done, but let me point out one thing I did with my friend's rogue to check this out for myself that you can do too if you have a fast weapon and can kill a decaying skeleton :P First thing I did was kill a decaying skeleton to get a rusty bastard sword (6/42) and put that in my primary and then threw the Burning Rapier (7/20) in the off-hand. Now turn on your log and it will look something like this :
*please note that is not an actual battle log, but my friend deleted it *bastard* and I'm too lazy to go find another rusty weapon, so I'll leave it to you to try this out*
So, unless Verant changed it recently so that rogues can triple and quad attack at level 47, the theory that the off-hand weapon will not swing if it's delay is more than the primary's is a totally bs theory. By putting a lammy in your primary and the jade mace in your secondary you are hindering your aggro ability and your damage ability from the damage bonus. I hope that helps to put this often believed and inaccurate theory to rest.
Without going into too many details, if you want to maintain agro go for the fastest quality weapons you can get your hands on. Quality being a ratio where damage is around 1/2 delay, or better. Jade mace is nice with a good delay, as is lamentation's or bloodpoints.
With many other people parsing the information, the easiest way to explain is that a delay of around 20 or 21 seems the optimum point with maxed haste, and gives the most swings of your weapon. More swings = more hits, and more hits = more agro is the simple explanation.
This weapon is ideal for the reverse. I was pushing for every tank in my guild to get one, most of who declined saying it was too slow for them. But for raids where you want the agro to be maintained on ONE tank, this allows the tanks with one to do damn good potential damage, while reducing the agro - means the mobs stay on the one tank. Slow delay = less hits = less agro. Less hits doesnt mean less damage by the way.
Shame they nerfed it, as it is a nice weapon up to epics, and even beyond for some, but it was fully understandable as to why. It was a very unbalancing weapon.
Unbalanced my ass, lol! Well ok I can see your point but I think they really should concentrate not on balancing classes against eachother but against the damn MOB's. I mean I almost got killed by a light blue MOB the other day.And I'm even nicely equiped, I'm told, for not being a twink.
I'm new to being a warrior, but from what I understand speed is a(the?) key part to keeping agro.(?) If that is true, then you'd want to keep the jade mace in the primary slot wouldn't you? You listed keeping agro as your primary goal. If you find that you can keep agro with the LSoEE in primary, I'd go that route since it's higher damage output and still very fast under the conditions you listed.
Just my 2 cp from a new warrior, a halfling as well.
