Temporite and Compartmented

I have made a material that
I call temporite. It is
made by heating a platinum
bar to melting with a
gnomish heat source, and
while it is glowing hot,
put in some special dust.
I call this dust "Chronal
Resonance Dust" because it
seems to be created from
the resonance between
people from this side of
the void and people on the
other side of the void.
You will of course have to
enchant this as usual in
order to get gems to
resonate properly with the
jewelry made with it.
Enchanters can give
themselves the ability to

make it in limited

Once you have the temporite
you can use it like you
would any jewelry metal,
and make solo, duo and trio
rings, bracelets, earrings,
pendants and veils. If you
really want to waste the
metal, you can even make
the practice rings just for

While I was working, I had
an accident with a vial of
mana and it created a
bubble within the material.
While I first thought that
this destroyed the item, I
realized that I could
carefully use this to make
a compartment within the
jewelry. This compartment

would then magically be
able to take augmentation
from various materials
within the world. The work
is difficult and delicate,
so this makes it much more
difficult to work with than
before. The hinges are
very tiny, and part of the
same metal that you use,
and not new material.

Through careful research, I
found that certain metals
require certain grades of
mana, and some even just do
not work. Silver and
electrum cannot seem to
keep the extra magical
charge, even with the most
basic mana. Gold and
platinum require cloudy
mana, velium and palladium
require clear mana, and

dwerium and temporite
require distilled mana.

I also found that this
needed the support of three
other gems settings in
order to make it work
properly. So to make these
items, you will simply need
your enchanted bar of
metal, the appropriate
mold, a trio setting tool,
and the appropriate vial of
mana that goes with the
metal you chose.
