Lvl is wrong, and more MOBs drop it

First, the level to attain is wrong. 24 - 28 is more like it.

Also, most of the Hulking, Swift, Gigantic, etc.. Elementals on the island have a chance to drop this. Not just the swift water.

It dropped off a Gigantic Air Elemental last night. Solo at 30, healing pet once and nuking twice. Would be challenging at 24, but doable.
Better or not?

The way I see it, this item can be better than the Qeynos badge of honor for those of us looking for both CHA and INT on an item.
For people who do not want the CHA the badge is better yes, but for those of us who want to get to Grand Master in Jewelry crafting (for instance) this is a really good item, just below the other one of these, Greater Talisman of Wistfulness, which is better than this one.

Just my 2cp.

Dropped by a Swift Air elemental as mentioned above but also got one off a swift earth elemental today.

Got Hulking and Gigantic elementals of different types, also the same loot.

Qeynos badge of honor
# Dec 19 2001 at 5:12 PM Rating: Decent
Seems to me the Qeynos badge of honor (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=6656) is easier to get and has better stats. Hell, a group of fourties could probably take Azibelle (blue to a 50) if they cleared out the spectres before triggering her. She's the final mob to kill.
All mobs needed for the badge spawn the same place everytime and the one on the longest timer is the gnome necro in wk who spawns every hour.
Actually the step before the badge of honor gives you the researchers badge which is still better than this.

Main reason people in my guild have been grabbing the Qeynos badges is the see invis effect. Stats are nice to have, and ensure they'l wear it more often, but plain and simple, they just wanted see invis permanent and easy.

Another reason that Qeynos badges are a bit better. :)

Yes and no. Yes, the qeynos badge of honor has *much* better stats than this. And no, it wouldn't be anywhere as easy as grabbing one of these. First off, the qeynos badge is the result of a series of quests, ending with a lvl 45ish fight during the final stage. Not soloable by anyone lower than mid 50's, unless you use a little creative root/zoning to manage adds.

This neckpiece, on the other hand, drops off a lvl 20'ish elemental in twilight sea (A Swift Water Elemental). Uncommon spawn, noticibly lower level than the usual ele's (all gtm, but around lvl 30). The elementals are not initially agro, have faction, don't know if they will assist (again, gtm). With a little pulling skill this neck could easily be had by a lvl 30 *solo*.

Not saying this is a nice neckpiece, but merely stating that it would be much easier to come by for someone between 25-45.

Like elementals will agro. So if you are attacking a water elemental and another water come by, it will attack while earth, air and fire will leave you alone.

depends on your level and agro range if other elems of the same type will assist its brethren.
