- If you miss the first task update (buy ticket & get on the boat), the bones will never spawn in the fire. This is possible to miss if you don't board the ship near Dockmaster Angus (we ended up riding it from Barren Coast). You'll need to drop task and return.
- If you're doing this with friends, be aware that only one person can get the item per instance. For each additional person, you'll need to drop task and start over.
- Not sure if on a timer - but if you enter, invis up, and immediately run to the 3 towers & climb them to get task update (one tower at a time), the bones will spawn by the time you've unlocked task for exploring 3rd tower. No mob killing is necessary.
When the item spawns & is ready to be picked up, you MAY get a system message that says the following (so alert everyone who has the quest to watch for it).
"You sense something calling to you, pulling you toward the aviaks' stepped stone plinth on the southern side of the island."
The message above doesn't always appear. However, if the person who has the quest is also the one triggering task updates at towers, then it seems they'll always get the message. Here's the text when you pick up the item from the flame:
"You hear a voice in your head and you know it is somehow related to the item you just picked up. 'The pain! Help me! The fire never goes out! It keeps burning!' Along with the tortured voice you hear in your mind, you see images. You see a simple farm with a happy family. You know instinctively that the voice you hear is from the mother of the family, Shea was her name. You see through her eyes as the Burning Dead set her farm aflame, burning their crops. You see her husband, Jastin, try to stop them as they come for you and your children... You feel her shame as she remembers all of this but can feel no sorrow. All she can feel is hot, searing pain."
