Nice AC, nearly weightless, looks cool to boot. What's to complain? No buffs or effects of any kind, that's what. Oh well. I'll try to get one anyway, though. Gotta keep working on that nearly weightless suit of uber armor.
If you were me and I were you, would we still be friends?
Can get this from guards around shar vahl.... they wear them =P

This is a nice a shield - I managed to score one directly by luck. If you see some people who are killing kitty guards, be sure ask them if you can loot it since it is NO DROP and they won't mind parting with it. :)
Yep, that scout. The scout was blue to my 37, but the respawned version with the shield and sword is GREEN.
Was very easy battle for my 37 troll sk. I waited until the kitty got to that first bridge then killed it. The troll has like 5 charisma in all crustacean plate nearly and the marble acryilla thing you buy off a nearby kitty merchant there was 89 plat.
This is a fantastic shield for the difficulty to get it. Besides the kitty face 20 ac is pretty nice. The troll has a clay guardian shield I'll use for battle but this thing is fun to run around with in the mean time. It would be great to go with several people and bust down this guy multiple times for a 20 ac cheap shield. Really its only good for a paladin and sk though since the other classes would have dual wield by the time you could kill him.
My 56 druid with an epic killed one of the full guards last night, well actually two since the other came also. It took a long time and they liked to break root. I was too dumb to have my troll parked nearby when the no drop shields were then on the corpses. After reading this here I went and did it with troll alone, fun ;)
Both my druid and troll went from indiff to these crusader guards there to apprehensive after the kill, though the druid actually had two.

i got this tonight(along with the garrison blade) of a grimling bodyguard at the vah shir fort in hsm easy kill and in my opinion a rather nice reward (ps sorry for the terrible punctuation and no caps but my puter is being *******

An easy kill for this item is one of the scouts in grimling forest. Just buy the cheapest orb from the merchant and give it to the appropriate scout (hail him to find out). When you give it to him, he will respawn with the sword and shield and then walk out of the fort. He has less than 1khp and hits for like 20 max. Faction hits do happen, but its not that much.

OK, which scout do u have to hail, because every scout tells me the same thing, non say anything about an orb?

Check out the info on Scout Danarin. He's about lvl 34, and once you give him the stone stated on his page in the beastiary (quest info there is included) he respawns with the equipment.
The thing is, he is part of a raid quest, which is why he respawns. You go and beat up grimlings..
funny thing about this thought.. i WILL be headed there to get one of these low weight, decent ac, great looking sheilds. i will be attacking this guy, but i imagine..

To bad you just cant buy one. Add it to vendors inventory and put a price tag of 5k on it. That way not everyone can and will buy it, but you can get it with out hurting faction.

I dunno about you, but I would rather take a faction hit and spend an hour if not less killing mobs or questing for faction before I paid 5k for anything that could be gotten for free.

Hey folks... the fisrt one I got, a 60 necro was soloing the Royal Khala Duns guarding the entrance to the Shar Vahl outpost in Grimling forest(just outside the hollowshade tunnel). So, I decided I needed one for my kitty warrior(he's twinked with only Luclin stuff). Anyway I got a warrior friend(47 ogre with full crusty) a druid friend (55 half elf with epic) and a 37 pally(just an extra for the healing). The Royal Khala dun Whacks for 168 and bashes for 90's. Took 3 hours. With DoTing from the Druids epic, and rooting. He resisted the root alot, but druid was able to keep aggro while the ogre Kited him with a weighted axe. First try was a failure, all zone after 30 min. Second time druid died after 45 min, so zoned(PS He heals FAST, was full life in 3 min, from half) Last time took an hour and Ogre was at like 150hp at end(from 2k). He was blue to Druid, but red to the War. Anyway... he's one tough ******... gobs of HP and a nasty attack. He dropped the shield, a 5 20 No Drop Magic 1hs, and a 6ac mask with effect Superior Camoflauge with 0 casts left :(. Thats all, and lots of cat faction hits. That's all the info on the subject I have... PS was on the Vazaelle server.

Just one question; What drops this? I see the kitties at the outpost have them but I really don't want to kill faction with them. Are they the only ones who carry these shields? If not, what other creatures do?

notice it only has 0.2 weight. Not that big a deal for the classes it can use, but still good considering the AC.
I want one so bad Looks real nice
