If you get more than one of these, do they share the cooldown of 20 hours or two separate cooldowns (one per brick)?
The task is not repeatable, so the point is moot.

man i thought there were some missing stats.
I right clicked the brick and noticed it was different.
Came on here and noticed it was changed.. well it looked kewl while it lasted.......b...uuuu....ttttt....of course Sony wouldnt change it during the Fabled month lol

Nerf? What nerf? Stats on an item have no effect when the item is worn in the Ammo slot.
trust me it had stats on it. i did this quest the sec it came out. it was there whether or not it was usable or not.
I would wager s/he believes you, probably most of us do.
The point s/he is trying to make is whether it's stats are visable to the human eye on an item or not (when it's an ammo slot only item) it makes absolutely no difference, since one is not getting those stats on their character regardless - whether they are printed there or not equates to the same thing - nadda.

My brother done that quest on The combine server today, and 20 hours delays remembers me why I have my OT hammer lol. OT gate + CR staff + origin, looks like enought if u want to gate, yes, a PoK gate looks fine but hey ! u have to zone only 1 time from OT / CR so not worth the try to get it, also no stats from it by wearing on the ammo slot, so dunno why it have any like this. Wont waste precious time farming fableds by doing this quest =)

OT hammer - requires faction or high shroud levels so may take longer to get than brick
CR staff - only one per account so what about your 7 other toons
Origin - 72 min cool-down is better than 20 hours but what if you need to gate between those 72 min
Farming Fableds - no clue where that came form since well you don't camp any fableds for the brick and it took less than two hours for me to do the quest
Fact is its another gate item thats easy to obtain so well worth it for those who do not have the ability to gate themselves.

OT hammer do not need to work on the faction, just get lvl 5 wizzy shroud, kill for 20 mins mobs in PC and tada the beholder chanter is up there
CR staff, yeah, only 1 per account, but your main char would get it , ur other 7 toons? I have enought playing 2 accounts and getting lvl / gear on both, alts? yeah, I play as main a melee, so If i never play an alt would be a caster class with gate:p
Origin, yeah, 71 mins on timmer, and what if you need to gate betweeb that? easy, CR staff or OT hammer thats why youhave it done :p
About fableds, its easy, the quest for that block came up with fabled event ( aka anny ) 2 hours to get the block done? U where so lucky since took 1 morning to my bard's brother + shammy duo it all. So instead of farming that pieces I will go and farm fabled and kill every fabled mob I see up on my way. Thats why I told about that.

- Origin default level of 67 dropped to level 5, cost from 7AA to 0AA
- Hastened Origin, starting at level 68, 6 ranks at 3AA each to reduce reuse time by 6min per rank (36min)
( Should be refunded 25AA for all that. Second time I lost some points during refunds. )
I don't mind that the timer dropped from 72min to 18min.
If they're going to make Origin a gift to users it should be at a slightly higher level,
perhaps Level 20 ... you know, put some effort into it.
Great task for people that are 2 or 3 zones away from PoK (Neriak 3rd Gate, Jagged Pine, Shar Val)

its a damn instant cast gate be happy, the only other item is the ct gate lizards blood potion, and thats nonreneuable
Incorrect. The click effect on this "Brick" is a port to the Plane of Knowledge which takes 10 seconds to cast... as the description says.
It is 20 hour recast on the port to PoK. the once a day port is the only real reason to get this. Non casting classes rejoice, Those that can bind themselves at hunting grounds have a better item now than the OT hammer.

Nothing in ammo slot gives useable stats. I have wished this to be the case for a LONG time. Were it so, my Shuriken of Eternity would by TRULY ubah. = (

Not quite sure about the reason for puting stats on this item. I can see no change in damage taken from DDs with this equiped vs. unequipped.
From a minotaur juggernaut in Gyrospire Beza:

Without the Brick of Knowledge I have 19% spell shield, vs 9000 DD = 7290 dmg. The Brick with its 2% spell shield did not modify the damage I took from this DD, so I am forced to conclude that items in the ammo slot (including mod2's) unfortunately do not affect the character in any way.
Nice clicky, but the Devs are laughing at me right now for getting excited about it. heh

From what I experienced, they should at least change it and turned it into a range slot item of sort (and add some other stats on it if by chance they do) because their's just no way I can see any difference if wearing the brick on ammo slot alone for sure. At least it's still very useful for those who just can't normally gate out from a far-away zone.
Are you sure you aren't already at a modifier cap? (are there such things? idk, just wondering)

These aren't Stats, they are Modifiers.
If my tradeskill trophy is in the ammo slot I certainly get the benefit of the traderskill modifer, but not STR/INT/WIS/.
