Fine Steel H2H
# Jul 19 2002 at 9:06 AM Rating: Default
These are a basic Fine Steel H2H weapon - note the ratio, similar to a Fine Steel Dagger.

However, for some reason this particular item cannot be smelted down to ore in a forge. This thing is vendor bait like all FS.
Found on Tae Ew in Feerott

Found a set of these yesterday fighting Tae Ew defenders at the bridge in Feerott. Don't look like they are worth much.
New Thulian Claws?

Seems to me that these are the new Thulian claws, except for H2H rather than slash. I'm sure some people remember all the claws that used to go from twink to twink to raise their 1hs skills as fast as possible while powering.

They were worth a bit way back when, then dropped off in value. Went up again when tumpies were around. These, with such a low delay and low damage seem (to me at least) fall into the same catagory, and will most likely be used to raise skills fast when they fall behind.

What i want to know is if I use a pair of these do I do the 3 dmg or does it just add on to my 9th level monks H2H skills?
Skill Cap
# Dec 14 2001 at 12:21 PM Rating: Default
Also, anyone bother to check the H2H skill cap for Beastlords? The one place I found it says cap at 100. Such big hoopla about BST and H2H, and after level 19, your skill will be maxxed and pretty much useless against anything blue at level 25+ with a combat skill of 100. Get yourself a good 1hb or piercer and save your money on these H2H weapons if you plan on getting past level 25 alive and well. They're nice if ya want to show em off, but not particularly worth the expense or effort just to become ineffective shortly after you obtain it.

If you haven't found yet the beastlord epics are H2H, wifes beast is 51 and her H2H is currently over 200

VI said the skill cap was bugged - it's now similiar to a monks....

RUMOR says they made the skill cap is 7 x level + 7 - just like a monk's dual wield is... -- Not sure if I believe it yet, but I've been doing research on Beast hand 2 hand weapons - and there are a ton... -- I plan to look into finding me some weapons for him....

That ain't true, my Beestlord's H2h is still just 5 + 5x level.

Poor Consistency
# Dec 14 2001 at 9:36 AM Rating: Decent
Yo, Verant. Your consistency sucks.

Brass Knuckles are 1HB, 10/38 dam/del, Wt 0, and magic.

Steel Knuckles are H2H, 3/10 dam/del, Wt 0 and not magic.

Since when is a pair of steel knuckles supposed to be better than a pair of brass ones?

Suggested Correction:

Change the Brass Knuckles to H2H.

Change the Steel Knuckles to Magic, and raise damage to 10, and make them drop off the cyclops in South Karana and equivalent level mobs in Infected Paw.

Well I can see how MAGIC brass knuckles would be better then NONMAGIC steel knuckles. It's just another item. I don't see a reason to go changing them, just get a different item if you don't like this one. It adds variety to the game even if it's not a really good weapon.

Gnoll Drop

The Splitpaw Gnolls drop this. I got one off of one of the outside Gnolls at the spires.

Yes this weapon does little damage...but the delay for H2H ya can't beat. I'll take my 5 skill points with this and go back to my heavy damage weapons when skill is maxed...thank you very much.

Hmm
# Dec 13 2001 at 6:54 PM Rating: Decent
At first glance, they don't appear to be very good. However, the delay is quite a bit lower than what h2h normally is (not counting h2h with monk epic). Hand to hand is also one of the more difficult melee skills to get up (partly due to it's delay), so these could be very "handy" for helping raise h2h.

... boy, I sure hope these sell well, like fine steel or something, because I cannot honestly see *too* many people using these. Maybe an Ogre Beastlord who doesn't care about doing decent amounts of damage?
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 13 2001 at 6:20 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) can you say "vendor fodder"? it is just like any other FS, just h2h. in fact, it seems a little better then some FS weapons lol

Who drops them?

I want them to help lvl my h2h skill when I create my new kitty. Fighting skills don't go up much when you drop that mob with your twink weapon in a few hits.
