This is a good low level monk armor...i ouldnt use it becuase of the weight. but the stats are pretty good and the ac is ok.....but i still wouldnt use this over my spore covered tunic.....that only weighting 0.4 adn adds 3 str (i think) its pretty good

I killed every Recuso I saw between 3 different camps for about 3+ hours and the only things that dropped were plat and crappy NO RENT NO DROP weapons.
I want one of these bad for my twink monk, oh and the Horns of Discipline too. /cry

get a Spore Covered Tunic for the monk. AC12, +3 str and only 0.4 wt. MUCH better for a monk. Drops in Netherbian Lair off of any Fungoid.
I was PLing my fiancee's warrior, and this dropped off the 2nd Recuso she fought.
Nice low end item. May go on her Shaman.

now i'm not 100% sure but..... i believe that the graphics are to be changed in the future, i keep seeing comments from Sony and Verant to the effect of "Armour tinting", they are not doing it now due to the amount of work they have to do just to get the game running right. I too was disapointed when i saw my lovely gold Ry'Gorr with it's inset gems/stones/thingies reduced to something like chicken wire, but do not fear Verant will sort it soon, (like in the next few decades).

I'm the one who submitted the item... I've only checked it on the new models, which only have one graphic for each type of armor (Leather, Chain, Plate). Sadly, it was just a standard leather look. I would check it for you with the old models, but even the old models I have on are showing up with the basic graphics and not the velious graphics that they should be displaying.
Also got this item in Marus Seru off of a Recuso Smuggler (guees he got to your email first though) Smugglers also dropped an Ancient Ceremonial Warhammer (probably a quest item from the stats) and an Aeridia Family Signet Ring (also a quest item). Also got Horns of Discipline from a Recuso Hunter.
Killed about 200 of these guys working on faction at least, seen maybe 4 tunics, never seen a smuggler.

So far, the special graphics on items seem to be... lacking.
Ry'Gorr now looks like all other Chain & all Plate armours look the same, just differing tints to them.

I sincerely hope this is not true? With requiring 512MB RAM and the new graphics engine, you'd think they would have marvelous new graphics... tell me this is not so?

Even if you have the old graphics turned off, there is only 1 type of leather/chain/plate now. They had to dump all those different types just to get to 512MB RAM.
The problem is that every single different type of armor needs to be in your memory just in case someone walks in wearing it. All the new textures are more detailed, which means that they require more memory for each one. Which means we got set back to 1 style. 1 step forward, 2 steps back ... lol
