I killed the shattered golem on 12-22-03 and the jawbone dropped.

20 hours later it dropped for me on the South side off shattered golem. I saw many spawn around the fron but they never dropped the jawbone but on the south side it did.. might be coincidence.

I got one of these today. someone left camp and 4 minutes later it popped and dropped it.
I looted one of these tonight, 8/27. A lvl 55 Druid friend of mine and I were hunting near the Scarlet Desert zone, and he saw the Shattered Golem on track. He ran to him and snared him. Well, he must have hit every trap on the way there and back because he caused a 20 mob train back to the Scarlet zone. He died. :(
I was FD in the corner (I'm a 60 SK), and I singled the Golem and fear kited him near the Scarlet zone and he had the Jawbone on him. I gave the Druid the Jawbone, because I know he'll use it.

The price on this item is a joke..16k..good luck..most people that have it don't give it up and if you do see one for sale it's 25k or more. Never seen it lower. Tribunal server

Entered through Scarlet desert and immediately tracked for any named. Saw the Shattered Golem up, tracked to the temple, dropped him and, got the Jawbone, WOOOT!, not bad for 2 minutes work )

Dropped 2 on 11/24 so still out there just takes patience. Took 3 nights of camping before shattered popped.

Are you guys sure this still drops? If it does it is UBER UBER rare. I have killed this guy at least 20 times over the last 7 weeks and no Jawbone. Got 4 Monk BPs in same time off the Ancient. This represents 7 weeks of play 10 hours a day 7 days a week or a total of about 500 hours played. Someowne said they took the Jawbone out of the game. Has anyone gotten one since the last patch?

Still dropping, I picked one up from the golem on 4/23/03. It seems to be very rare.

a friend of mine on Emarr got this drop the other night and so far three guilds on emarr have no idea of the value, but 3 enchanters have offered over 12k for it without batting an eyelash. so those stating that it is not a very good item need to talk to enchanters. since this is a rare drop, and my guild has killed him 3 times so far in one week, and gotten 1 jawbone and 2 belts, i would say its kinda rare / uncommon. sounds like its more in the 15k to 20k range with the price of items off of luclin so far.

Had one drop on 31 May, 2002. Must be real rare, have had a bunch of gloves and some harnesses drop off of this mob, but first jawbone. Looks like the highest value to chanters, but real nice for all casting classes.

You fail to consider that the Monocle is NO DROP, and not all players have the ability to effectivly hunt in NTOV, much less slay Fleshlak. Indeed, MOST players are not in a guild capable of making it to, and then killing Fleshlak.
Furthermore, this item has stats that the Skywatcher's Monocle does not, so saying the Jawbone is inferior to the Monocle is not neccessarily correct.

I killed this mob this morning. He spawned on North side of the temple. Unlike other named, he was vulerable to fears. No harder than any other golem. Dropped the jawbone. I've pulled this spot for 10 hours straight before seeing this mob spawn, so, he is not a common spawn.

Some person named Fartface lowered the average on purpose by putting in like 8 1pp prices. The real average is closer to 19-25kpp.

Went out to hunt in hopes of getting one of these for a guildmate. Were there for about 30 min, and shattered spawned. Luckily, it had the jawbone. 11pm MST, Povar. As rare as it seems? Maybe we just got lucky as heck.

I would say the harness is actually his common, I've seen three golems and three harnesses.
This is the RARE drop, not common.
A Shattered Golem common drop is the gloves - I hve let 6 pair rot so far in 4 days of solid camping. No other drops...

My "Lets get away from interal guild politics" group Saturday got one. (Myself, my in game wife, another couple and his 57 twnk mage, and a ranger)
2-3 Shattered golem kills, 2-3 Ancient kills = 1 pants, 1 tunic, 1 belt, 1 hat, and the face piece.
Wife won the role over the cleric (Who only had a velium mask)

Neat item. Prolly one of, if not the best tradable face item in the game. Better than tobryn's by a damn sight. Mana, Int, Wis, Hp, and Cha for the chanters in the audience.
Had offers from like 8k-14k for mine, but IMHO it should be worth more than tobryn's and that runs 15k on Povar atm. Also, what the heck would I replace it with?

Since the dreded patch of the Grey i have not heard of anyone getting this jawbone. has anyone actually gotten one of these to drop lately? ive been killing mobs here for about 3 weeks and havent gotten one to drop after killing about a dozen named golems, who knows, perhaps im very unluckey.

They do still drop but are now an Ultra Rare instead of an Uncommon from a Shattered Golem. Ten of my guildmates have been camping the Grey solidly all week, almost around the clock. In all that time precisely one Jawbone has dropped.

It's been proven and confirmed that charisma has absolutely no effect on necro Fear spells. So no harm done. Matter of fact, the only thing charisma effects on Necros is charming the undead. The better the charisma, the better your charm will work.
So actually, as a necromancer I'd love to own this mask. I carry +cha items with me during raids on undead zones to assist my guildmates with adds when our enchanter isn't online. When the puller brings 4 mobs, charming one of them turns the tide in our favor.

How did they prove charisma doesn't affect fear? I've tried both ways, with 110 cha and with 26 cha. Fear works much better with lower charisma on my character. Also, charm lasts forever with 26 charisma, seems to break a lot with 110 cha. Think of the spells as well..."Dominate Undead", "Thrall of Bones" etc. The spell names would suggest that you're not gaining their help through friendly means, rather you're fearing them into submission, which also plays into the Necromancer role playing. Just from my personal experience on a 58 necro, lower charisma = longer fear times, and lower charisma = longer charm undead spells, used of course mostly in The Grey.

Well I was camped there early Sunday morning, and the named one's were spawning like mad.
It was 2 monks and myself. I looted 6 items and the monks looted 3-4 items all within 2 hours or less.
So I think they did nerf the drops since the last patch.

I have been camping the grey for 3 weeks now and have only seen 1 shattered golem. I have killed 5 Ancients and all dropped the sleaves. The 1 shattered I killed dropped the gloves(which rotted cause my bro had already gotten me a pair).Good luck to all seeking this great face piece.

Too late. I was camped at the temple in the Grey almost all day, and didn't see the Shattered Golem once. The other named's in the area were significantly more rare as well.
Maybe they want everyone uber for a showdown with the sleeper you never know :)

This is a really nice piece of gear for any caster or priest class. To bad it don't have any resist..

This drops from the shattered golem, one of his rares. He drops the grey flesh gloves as his common, grey flesh harness/this as rare/ultra rare, not sure which is which.

I think one of the reasons this item was created was to give chanters an upgrade to the Incandecent Mask. Its 7 cha 5 int and I quested it at level 24. This is something for us to look forward too since alot of my planer face pieces aren't as good as the incandecent. I know I am certainly going to be checking out the grey tonight =)
