these dropped off of a Sambata Tribal Worker for me today very weird..
As I don't have the Luclin expansion, can i still equip them if I buy them from another player?
Yes. Same applies to any items from any expansion; assuming they're not no drop, they are still tradeable to and from those without the expansions. Without Luclin you can't go up to the moon and get this from the source, but you can still buy this from players or NPC merchants (if a player sold them one) and wear it.

from my experience so far, the sporelings do not drop the armor. "a fungiod", "a fungiod worker", and "a mature fungiod" do. btw the mature is the only one ive seen drop the katar. Hope this helps anyone looking for this armor.

got 2 of these today. also git the tunic, to pair of pants and the gloves. guess its ok considering i hunted them for bout 2 hours
