Think twice before...

He might con light blue, or even green, but be prepared before you take on this little dino. He has lots of HP(for the lvl) and resist like crazy! When I saw him on track, I thought,"Ah:) a named I can take by myself:)" (39 druid). True, I came out victorious, but just about dead! To keep it short, I hope you are prepared for a fight that is above what the mob cons, and at the moment, isn't worth the effort for the loot.

Well, there must be more than one version of this item then or they have changed it my 58 druid was running thru HSM, aggroed this little annoyance and dropped it. The only difference I see is that the one I got today has no DMG Bonus on it. Everything else is the same as it shows above. Still not worth the effort to get.

7/27 1hs whip look and sound
looks like a rhino horn in inventory
+7 dex -10 save disease 10.0 weight

Effect is still rock mites a disease dot on the
wielder. Dot damage is the same as my normal sitting regen, standing I loose 2hp per tick.

they took paladins off list and its not race all anymore but looks like all but HIE?

The dirtchomp monster resisted at least 2 thirds of my spells at L48 and was fast. Max he hit me for was 56, lots of misses and lots of 11's, resisted some weak poison from him 5 times.

The rock mites effect is still going after 40 minutes - I suspect that the post earlier saying 15 minutes had the duration shortened by the cure diseases cast.

So an hour later these rock mites are still plaguing me. Oop whats that? left click and the effect ends. So you can turn them off at will.

I'm on a pvp server and hoped this would dot the opponent for hours. Instead I'll be using it to dot myself in situations where i might get mezzed.

I took this guy tonight when I was heading to Shar Val. He popped up on track (43 bard), so I hunted him down. Ouch. He resisted everything but Tuyen's Chant of Flame. I think that I stuck Consonant chain on him once. My normal method is usually fear kite or dot kite, since I have only a little over 1k hp at 43. Had to twist berserker crescendo, heal, and kept trying to stick something in between. About halfway down, it got ugly. I feared (took 4 shots before it stuck) then had to use Selo's to keep up with him. Somehow, after that, I went toe-to-toe, still twisting in TCoF. Tough, but not too tough. When finished, I had a little less than 2 bars of health. This is at about 800 AC. I think honestly the only reason that I took him was the Di'zok and Centi LS. If you don't have good weapons, this guy is going to waste you. He didn't hit that hard (40-60 if I remember corectly), but he also hit me with weak poison about 7 or 8 times. At 43 he conned that light blue color. I think that I could have stuck songs if I had used the magic dot/debuff. Anyway, hope this helps, and if anyone figures out what to do with the stupid leg, let me know. After the work it took to kill him, I would like to get something nice in return )
Yet another reason not to go to luclin

Im a 52nd wizard this mob is about 28th.. Lets just say if I hadnt had Jboots I would be dead.
Hits way hard and has a TON of hitpoints.
Post 30ish mobs I can 1 shot with a Ice Comet (1,120dd) I hit this freak with 2 ICs and 4 Draugts of Fire. Both the ICs landed for full dam, the Fire based spells were all partialy resisted. My guess would be that he has about 2,500 Hitpoints. Hits like a 45th mob and drops CRAP loot. hope the quest if its working and if anyone can solve it makes this worthwhile... For now, its just another reason not to go to Luclin unless you are raiding.

Cursed weapon
# Mar 15 2002 at 3:15 AM Rating: Decent
Today I was running through Hollowshade when Dirtchopper attacked me. At lvl 42 he conned green to me and hit hard. He kept up with selos so I figured I'd better take him out but he almost took me out left me with a bulb of health. I looted a Severed Rockhopper Tail. It's a 1hs 7/27 +7dex -10vsD effect Rock Mites (combat). I thought I would try it out but what a mistake. It lowered my hps, got dieased 15dd rock mites plus acted as a DoT. I had a druid with me that had to put regen on me while he tried cure diease to remove it. That didn't work, he tried cure posion also and nada I still had the effect on me. After 15 rl minutes the effect finally wore off. IF anyone knows what quest this wep goes to please tell me.

Each tick of damage that a poison is doing (or some new diseases) requires one cast of the Cure Poison/Disease spell to remove. Later on, higher Cures remove more "ticks" from the damage being done, so they can often remove the damage in one cast of the spell. Certain effects, like the lava ductcrawlers in Sol B, can't be cured by by trying against Disease or Poison. When that happens, you can only Cancel Magic (Annul Magic) to get rid of it. Often, the buffs are worth more than the mana to heal the damage, so the afflicted are left to grumble while it wears off.

If you ever become diseased for a very long time, have someone cast Cure Disease until it goes away. It can be cured by ANYONE that can Cure Disease.

It seems like tons of things in SOL are quest-related. Considering what it takes to take down Dirtchomp (he conned green to me at 46, and I went for him full health/full mana and he beat the stuffing out of me, at one point I wondered if he'd beat me before I beat him - hits hard and fast) this is a lame drop for the level, so I suspect a quest .... but have not found any source.

Don't know what you were doing, he was light blue to me as L39 druid, I killed him from half mana. Note the damage bonus, I wonder when that kicks in, level-wise?
