I always check merchants when I go into a zone Ihaven't been in for a while. Picked up a Blackguards Dudgeon in Surefall for 40 pp from a merchant and an Anaconda Fang for 36. Also found this Shaded Dagger in Thurg for 37 pp and change. Sometimes window shopping does pay off.
I think this is a very nice weapon, I have been thinking about starting to practice, 1hb, and peircing, with my lvl 40 ranger, I think this and a club of the iced ocean would be a good combo, At least until I get my epics =) When I get my epics I will be one happy camper, ranger epics are sweet, but for now, Im going after one of these =P

I know I've said it before, and others have said it before me, but it bears repeating: ALWAYS CHECK NPC MERCHANT INVENTORY! My troll beastlord was fighitng by the hand that has the spell merchant on it in Innothule, an wanted to dump the minor loot he was getting off the frogloks and kobolds, and saw this dagger... VERY nice dagger, only 38pp! So he hoofed it back to Grobb to get the money for it, and bought it. Sadly, not beastlord usable, so I transferred it to my bard. Nice weapon, even if not for the resists... and NPC merchants charge MUCH less than what the going rate is from players! Always check the merchants, you never know what kind of bargain you can get because some high level got bored of an item and either didn't realize or care what the value is to players.

This item is now shadow knight usable. Kicks ass to help build piercing but truly for a shadowknight it's damage is pathetic. Sent in new pic and stats for updating

I trade this weapon for a Blood Point what a fool who made that trade. ill give you this it was a great weapon but for 1 dmg less and 1 dly less and the effect and the +5 str on the Blood Point is just awsome... good luck to all

Somone tell me when u buy Luclin do the graphics of the characters change? Because I was lookin at screenshots and the guys looked different! Yes the luclin graphics are awsome, you need a good computer to run it well though, im currently running a compaq <insert flame about them here> that runs perfectly, its 1.7ghz, 512mb ram, and a GeForce2 at 64mb, no video lag, but my other is at 633mhz 320mb ram and a 32mb graphic card, it runs really slow. so if ya dont have a great computer, its not gonna do much.

Wow wtf, you would think all the parhly retarded EQ player would have left EQ because the game was to slow and boring for their ever so fast mind. I can't understand now how so many people still don't understand dmg delay. It also bothers the hell out of me to hear someone say whats better FBSS or SCHW's or what is their haste % i get so pissed its like jesus if you can afford either you should ALREADY know this sh*t. Especially if you were already gonna be buying something with haste. I mean do you people buy cars without knowing the previous history of it? Do you guys even read the labels on the please do not place on skin or a bad rash will occur. Ok here for the next people who will read this rant and say wow what a waste of space no knowledge at all. k heres your F5cking information for you people who still don't know this.

Got the lowest roll of my whole group, so they left me what they thought was crap! Nice day in ME for a loser.... My rogue alt appreciates it! BTW, at lvl 28, it shows no damage bonus. Does this show up at higher levels, or has it been nerfed?

Just hit 29th level, and at 28th, both the Shaded dagger and Shaded Blade began showing a damage bonus of 1. Guess it's all uphill from here! Seems to be a nice weapon that can grow as your character does.

all 1 hand weapons (including bare hands) have the same dmg bonus based on your level.
just subtract 25 from your level and divide by 3
so 28 dmg bonus is 1, 31 is 2 and so on

This sucker drops off of xi vius. Out of all the shaded weapons this one seems to drop the most. If you go to ME just don't camp with a rogue and you can probobly get this. I need another one i miss having a sweet piercer.

Edit: Nevermind hehe. I recently found out that Damage Bonus shown on weapons reflects your level (as mentioned by the reply, thnx) It increases as your lvl increases. =)

Is the key. Pretty easy to hit 100 sta, and after you get there none of your stats are affected regardless of how low your sta bar goes in battle.

Why worry about the weight of the shadded dagger, when for 3 hours of work you can get the quest completed for Rozzut's Whistler. 11/22 3sta, 3agi, 3lbs, magic, lore, no drop, ROG only, all races.
Quest starts in Firiona Vie with a female npc that had the last name sneakyfeet.
Required items are all no drop:
Frontier Ore - common, no drop item off Burynai slaves in Nurga
Gem of Nimbleness - uncommon, no drop, lore item off drolvarg in DL.
Final turn in is with those two items and 500p to a guy in Butcherblock.
The quest is spelled out fairly well on this site, just search quests starting in FV.
Got my items last night, turning them in tonight. I'm looking forward to the increase BS damage this will give me.

The 5 wt is no problem. I am using this in my primary with a crystallien spider fang (10/22 also 5wt) in my offhand. Julies is a dwarf and with her equipment, her sta is 101. I have yet to have my stamina bar bottom out in a group, and that is chain pulling 3-4 mobs at a time non-stop in DL. At 41, I have BS'd for 263 with it so far.

Seems too heavy, and you would end up switching this out during a long fight... Ive noticed that once i get past 50percent stamina loss i miss alot more... The traks tooth in comparison, wouldn't drain stamina as much, allowing me to hit hard and fast throughout the battle... BS dmg accounts for less than half of your dmg before 50 <so i hear>... Traks tooth, imho is the better weapon considering they cost about the same.
Currently i use a slimecoated 10/25 4.7WT in primary, crystal fiber 2.0WT secondary, and my base stamina is 115. 22 rogue.
People passing logs, have reported that your yellow stamina bar has absolutly no effect on combet, if you have 100 or more stamina. You say you notice missing more, is that something you have data supporting, or is it just a gut feeling?
You say you might as well get a trak tooth, but at the higher level the resist are indeed a nice touch, and more important, shaded dagger can go in off hand.
A very good alternative to a centi longsword for off hand, both because piercing caps higher (at least pre 50, no on top os 1hs caps 51-60), and because it looks stupid with a dagger primary and big sword secondary.
I was using a shaded dagger with my rangebringer for a while, and loved it.

Ive played a warrior and ranger, both used a wurmy from 30 - 45, both with stamina over 100. Granted there is a huge difference from 5.0wt and 15.0wt but im 99% postitive your stamina bar effects your attack. And i only say 99% positive because ive never let either character go below 40% stamina with a wurmy, bc i did notice significant misses...I would either switch to a lighter weapon or invigor myself... Also have you noticed that really nice pokers are light weight>? I dont think thats coincidence.
You do have a good point about using it for a secondary though. Resistances are very important later on. And yeah, i hate seeing rogues with a small daggar and some huge sword in the offhand.

Have you noticed almost all nice items are low weight? not just piercers. It's just they way the world works for the end game.

Yup, bought one of these on The nameless for 1k nice dagger same stats as sharpened velium spear that drops in western wastes and dragon necropolis and sells for gobs of cash. Its a nice BSer. Got this weapon in my primary and then sarnak backstabber in sec (10/20 +stats) combo does a nice amount of damage with haste

I won this dagger in a questionaire contest in ec on the nameless along w/ a spider fur cloak for my rogue...This weapon rocks for backstabbing and the resists are a nice bonus:)

A track tooth still goes around 1k now days, and to a rogue, this is a heck of a lot better then a track tooth. I have yet to find many weapons that go inbetween the 1k piercers and the 10k piercers. This is it, and the only people selling this dagger for 1k is everyone but a rogue, for we know what this baby can surely do.

Um, are these prices posted correct? 1.6kpp for this awesome thing? Is it because it drops often or is easy to get or did someone throw in some ringers to make the posted price seem lower? I mean I could afford 3 of these if they weren't lore compared to one trak tooth!
Well I don't know what Trak Tooth goes for on your server, but on E'ci I see it for 2K all the time. Sure, this is even better than TT, but it's fairly common since it drops in two zones. Ok, not *common* but certainly not very rare.

I saw 2 shaded weapons drop last night in Maiden's Eye..one was this dagger. I'm pretty certain the toilers dropped them. So it's not only dropped in the Umbral Planes. Dying to go there though.

I got the Shaded blade tonight, same stats except 12/24 and NON-magic... why are the daggers and staff magic and not the blade? >=(

very nice weapon. dmg/delay is a notch up from trak tooth (same ratio, better dmg), and it's good nice resists (who cares about -5svFire, if you get +5 to the rest =)

Odd, thought the trak tooth was 10/20, making it the same ratio. This is still nice, as it can be weilded in either hand. The resists are a nice feature too. A bit heavy, but still decent.

This is simply an excellent weapon. It would be a personal favorite to complement a ragebringer for those awkward I-can't-go-to-sleeper's-or-ntov levels. Nice ratio and solid resists, nothing fancy but definitely a solid weapon.
