If it was technically an 18 dmg weapon then it would be an insanely overpowered weapon. They are very careful not to give rogues easy access to primary hand 1h piercers that have more than 15 damage and something dropping in this easy newbie zone that was 18 damage would be way too much...

Well, before Verant got cocky and decided to nerf every decent non expansion item this used to be a decent piece of crap. It would do double damage if you backstabed with it so technicly it was a 18 damage weapon. Too bad verant thought it was "overbalanced" but then again, if this is overbalanced, what's with all those damn pieces of Velium those newbies are wielding?

They need to revamp this weapon. It's delay, weight, and lvl to obtain, is not worth it when you can get a BS fang instead.
