Try pairing up a couple etched steel batons, Or one and a knuckle duster. My monk uses Knuckle dusters and Etched steel baton, and rips thru mobs.

I paid 400 platinum for a centi warhammer. I probably paid a little too much. However, it has been worth it. I get 25 hit points.

Fantastic weapon for a shaman.

I'm level 40 and using it. With strength and quicken on me and my pet, I'm usually doing about 70 - 100 damage per round. Add the stat bonuses and this is a great weapon for the price. If you can get one for under 400pp, I'd take it.
Primary for a ranger
# Dec 16 2002 at 11:51 AM Rating: Decent
I am using this in my primary on my lvl 25 ranger. With dual wield and double attack both maxed and a centi ss in my off hand I usully get something like:
You have crushed soandso for 32.
You have crushed soandso for 32.
You have slashed soandso for 26.

Then throw in a kick and sometimes an extra slash and the is some nice dmg....With delay being so long I figured double attack will go off more in my primary so go for max damage there.....works great...can solo whites no problem....mind you root shoot then hack and slash works wonders.

Awesome Shaman Weapon
# Sep 25 2002 at 4:32 PM Rating: Decent
I got one of these for my Shaman when he was at level 16. Proceeded to use it non-stop until I bought a Slime Coated Harpoon (+5 WIS vs + 2 WIS) for the WIS buff and I needed to keep my piercing skill at a reasonable level. My now 24 Shaman is soloing in LOIO and I am sorely tempted to switch back to this full-time. For low level Shaman's I can't think of a better 1HB weapon.

Best Regards, Krushu Atrociter

You should probaly use that centi warhammer instead, its better attack right? and the cent warhammer isn't the strongest 1hb with highes wis, I think don't quote me on that, I always though piercing was stupid and a waste of time to warriors and such, but hey im not playing this game you are, but I also have a centi warhammer for my druid and it kicks major butt! my 2cp

The Bazaar (or I like to call it, the Bizarre) is a zone designated solely for shopping.

The zone itself can be found off of The Nexus and Shadowhaven on Luclin. Inside are 2 banks, several merchants, horse stalls and recently, PC vendors. Yes, PCs can sit idle in the Bazaar with their wares on display and prices set, just like NPC merchants.

# May 18 2002 at 7:36 AM Rating: Decent
The going price on Centi warhammer is about 100 to 300pp but it's getting lower and lower. It's a common weapon. if you want one and don't have alot of plat then try looking on venders in the Bazzar and Shadow Haven. I got one there for 85pp with 60 cha.
Nice cheep weapon
# May 06 2002 at 7:55 AM Rating: Decent
Of all the centi weapons this is the seconded most common drop.
It is fast enough to be used as a primary, until lvl 40 or so. And after that it can be moved to the off hand.
It is also a nice weapon for Shaman ect who like to melee solo.
Sure there are a lot of better weapons out there but this is one of those underrated weapons that the casual player can pick up at a resonable cost, and do compairable damage to much more expensive weapons
What Recommended Level?
# May 05 2002 at 9:05 PM Rating: Decent
What is the recommened level for this weapon because some guy offered this to me for doing a transfer. He said it costs about 500pp and said I have to wait till after lvl 21 for it to be affective because everyone under lvl 21 hits for 21. So should I wait or should I ask for it alreayd?
RE: What Recommended Level?
# Sep 11 2002 at 11:28 AM Rating: Decent
hehe i started a dwarf rogue and i had a Netherbian Unguis for my main piercer and at lvl 1 i did 18 pts of dmg, which would kill a skelly in one hit )
RE: What Recommended Level?
# May 06 2002 at 7:45 AM Rating: Decent
They were probably talking about the damage caps for low lvl players. Pre lvl 10 the max damage your weapon can do is 10. Therefore your hits will max out about 20. Between lvl 10 and 20, your damage is caped at 14. Therefor your max hits will be 28 or so. Since this is a 15/32 weapons you will not do as much damage as the weapon is capable of until lvl 20.
pre lvl 10 it will be a 10/32 (not that bad for a newbee)
Pre lvl 20 it will be a 14/32 and 15/32 after that. Not enough diffeance to matter after lvl 10.
However do to the high damage your weapon skill will be slow to develop, if you use it much before lvl 15 or so.
RE: What Recommended Level?
# Jun 13 2002 at 8:26 PM Rating: Decent
Now I am not doubting what you are saying Yosa. Your rating is well deserved. I recently created a Vah Shir bard that for fun I twink with lvl 40 Ranger gear (full Ry'gor and a Centi SS) but even from lvl 1 she was hitting in the high teens up to 21 pnts of damage. So with A STR of 157 right now at lvl 9 I am hitting higher then the cap you speak of. Perhaps they have raied it? I don't know. I just know what I see when I swing.

Just food for thought.
RE: What Recommended Level?
# Jul 17 2002 at 4:05 AM Rating: Excellent
It isn't that your actual damage output is capped, It's that any weapon you use will have IT'S damage capped at 10. That plus your weapon skill, plus your offense adjustment, plus your strength adjustment, plus class bonus, etc. gives you your max damage total.
Loving this weapon!
# Apr 27 2002 at 3:20 AM Rating: Default
I was lucky(!!!) to get this AND 49pp for a port out of DL on my Druid -=P I used it to take down almost-deads on kites..deals a lot of damage, but with my not-yet-maxxed 1HB, I didn't hit as often, but still for a good amount of damage...
Anyway...while twinking my BeastLord (they level much faster! -=P), I reluctantly gave this up (I liked the stats as well, and used this when I wasn't equipping my Cone of Mystics for grouping) to him, and WOW..

Still only level 18, but as low as level 12 I think, I was hitting for 28damage! Consistantly!! I was afraid I wasn't going to advance in skill fast enough killing mobs this fast! Needless to say, I stuck with 1HB cuz it was working so fast (and I really wanted to get to level 15 for the proc buff)...level 18 now, in groups I let my pet attack as usual, and hope that my group doesn't notice I'm practicing H2H and Piercing -=P If we get into trouble, I pull out this and my Smoldering Brand (yeah, another twink item), and the fun begins!

Monks will never use this because it weighs so much, but we fight like monks, and with this in offhand (or even primary would be great! Since our pet is attacking also anyway, the delay could be overlooked), we hit hard! I can't wait to see, at 20, how much damage I can dish out with this thing!
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 17 2002 at 8:15 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I want to trade for one of these on the Xegony server.I am currently in Crushbone (1 zone from Gfay).will trade a shaded staff, and CoT.PLEASE send me a tell.Kungfuey. Monk of Cazic Thule in the 20th season.
ideal delay for a shaman
# Mar 28 2002 at 7:13 PM Rating: Excellent
In a good group I prefer to cannibalize while adding combat damage instead of doing the cannidance. As most people know caster classes have to wait a full weapons delay cycle after casting before their mellee weapon will hit. The Centi warhammer has nearly the ideal delay for combat cannibalizing: With Can II and alacrity on it will hit once in every cannibalize recast delay period, just as the cast icon repops. You can be full time mana regenerating and still do 50 mellee damage per cycle in the meantime. Most faster weapons do less damage, and slower weapons will require you to wait for the weapon hit before you can cast again. Only with high level chanter haste will a very fast weapon like a REIF hit twice in a recast delay.
DMG Bonus?
# Mar 22 2002 at 3:03 PM Rating: Decent
Dose this weapon really have a dmg bonus im a lv.25 shaman and it shows no dmg bouns on it.
RE: DMG Bonus?
# Mar 28 2002 at 7:17 PM Rating: Decent
Only hybrid and pure mellee classes get the damage bonus, what is the reason these classes prefer fast weapons (lammy, bonus more often) over better ratio weapons with long delay (wurmslayer). For us shaman the damage is a straight mutliplier on the base damage, so we can always go by damage ratio to pick our mellee weapon.

RE: dmg bonus?

As you gain in levels, melee and hybrid classes get a damage bonus. The formula works like this: your level, minus 15, divided by three equals how much damage bonus you get (at least, as a warrior, this is true).

So, a 28 level warrior will have a damage bonus of 1, and every three levels after that the damage bonus will increase by 1.

"My druid is my first non caster"

I assume you mean the first wisdom caster. A druid is a pure caster, not even a hybrid. There is no damage bonus for druids, so don't sweat it. This is a great wis caster weapon. My Cleric, lvl 47, still swaps this hammer for his paw of opolla on those few occasions when he melees. Great for farming, or finishing off runners.
Beastlord Usable - All right!
# Mar 09 2002 at 5:20 AM Rating: Decent
The stats are good for hybrids. Beastlord's always need some extra strength, stamina, and wisdom. Having the 1H Blunt to pulverize some Recuso's with is always good. I'm just glad we don't have weight problems like the monkees do . . .
1hb practice?
# Mar 07 2002 at 4:41 PM Rating: Default
Anyone think this would be good for a ranger to start working on 1hb with? I'm 36, and could get the cash easily, although it weighs almost as much as my centi ls, i might just swap them in and out, i could use the wis, dmg/ratio isn't as good though.
RE: 1hb practice?
# Apr 24 2002 at 9:50 AM Rating: Decent
No for you a Velium Etched Stone Mace would be best with it DAM 7, Delay 22.
I lended it to my Ranger companion, and he is flying up the levels.
