Just looted from A Grimling Runner in The Tenebrous Mountains, along with the Grimling Runner Pouch. This must be a rare drop, because I kill the Runner regularly and never saw this drop from him before.

Hold up, You need shadows of luclin to have this weapon? I bought this weapon in felwithe. I don't have luclin. I got the EQ: Trilogy Pack which came with Ruins of kunark, and scars of velious, what up with that?
They are referring ot the fact that Shadows of Luclin is required to LOOT this item. Anyone can buy it, but it drops in a luclin zone, so you HAVE to buy it, someone with luclin can go kill mobs and loot it.

Dropped of a priest near the Acrylia zone just a few moments ago. I'm interpreting this weapon as a piece-o-junk, let me know if I'm wrong. :)

I got this off a bodyguard at Grimling Chieftain. I have killed many bodyguards, and only saw it drop once, which leads me to believe it is a random drop off various possible mobs.

I should be noted that Merchant Ayyad sells this weapon in Shar Valh. He is see up near the Kings palace. The one he sells does no have the damage bonus though. It is just a 9/38 2H-Blunt. Retails for less than 10 pp

Damage bonuses depend upon you character-not the weapon. Weapons do not have damge bonuses, characters do
Lastnight it dropped off a Grimling Manawielder for me. When they have it on them they have it equipped. Just wander around looking for this thing equipped on any Grimling and have at it, and this thing was light blue to 52 SK and it put up a nasty fight, and had a DS on, so dispell it. I found it at the Grimling camp between the Cat outpst and the Grimling camp by TM zone. Go out of the Outpost and follow right wall until you come to a Grimling camp.

Either Verant nerfed its drop or someone wasn't accurate in their post.
I've killed both foreman in this zone for a total of 14 hours on 1 occasion and 8 on another.
All I could muster is a bag full of worthless runes.
If anyone can verify that this drops off the foreman ( currently ) please let us know.

I love the new graphics for SoL..The new weapons look kewl also..This weapon for instance..Cant wait til they implemant all the new models..Cant wait to see what some of the old weps are going to look like..The Wurmie is going to look brutal..well good hunting and safe journey to all.

As far as I know, the damage bonus is based on the delay of the weapon, the slower the weapon the higher the bonus. Also, your level will affect the bonus.

damage bonus depends on level, the higher level,the higher the damage bonus.it only is useful for 2 hand weaps though,slower delay,higher damage bonus as well. the bonus is added to the max your weapon can hit)

wrong, anything wielded in mainhand is effected by the damage bonus stated on it. ie if your 1hs weapon has a damage bonus of 6, then the least damage you can do with that weapon will be 7 points of damage, if it is in your mainhand. in offhand though, you will still be able to do 1 points of damage.
That's me in the background. That's the damage bonus for a level 59 monk..

Thank you. The light bulb finally went on in my head. At last I understand damage bonuses.
Can anyone confirm the damage bonus shown in the picture? For a 9 damage weapon, a 29 damage bonus would be quite unique. Would actually make it a halfway decent 2HB with that delay. Actually, I don't know what the heck to think of that if it's true.
