i picked this up when i was lvl 2 on my bard, it was laying infront of the POD lift in greater fay, kinda lucky now that i think about it, lol i was so new when i got this BP

Im glad to see there are reasonable and nice ppl that play eq. Heh guess they had no choice when they saw what I was wearing at the time.

Ok lets break down the classes that have the most beneifit from it,
Rangers and Shammys , rogue , nice ac great agi dex hp mana an ac what can u say these classes drool over this. Its great.
SK,Pally, and Bard... um well there is the decent AC and HP + MANA buuutt.. you can get a engraved velium bp which has HIGHER ac an better stats for em. AGI i can't see a use for but whatever you say.

An this thing doesn't come to mind when i think hey what do i want to spend 7k on... what comes to mind is oh i will spend 7k an buy me engraved velium greaves an engraved velium bp. Why? Well ok lets break stats on down..
AGI - ok so i hear it increases dodge rate.. but the most i hear SOOOOO much is how a warrior gets the ac bonus this an that, ok check i can get +15agi an get about an extra 3-4 ac... ok thats nice buuut its a waste of a stat.. i mean to me its ac > hp > sta > str an once higher game its hp > all . (were talking planar stuff) And to me 15 agi is just like a egh i feel somewhat weaker an disoriented why do i feel like i just waste cash that could of ben used for something else.. i mean 15agi bah pass me something with 55hp an 15sta 15str an now were talking warrior gear!
Dex - increase procs an hit rates.. mmm k, well with NDT my dex is 255 EASY. So i mean um right this is a WASTE once again. Can i hear a ac30 15str 15sta 70hp bp calling my name?

You assume way to much Yevun. I'm an sk and I'd definitely role against a ranger, rogue or shaman for it. And probably any class of iksar that can wear it would probably role on it as well. Sk's always looking for a little bit more agi and dex; even though they probably won't be the primary stats most will go for but a nice chunk on a single item comes in handy(i.e. seawind necklace). I don't have better, I'm not in an elite guild and I won't have better anytime soon and a lot more people than you think aren't as fortunate as you; for godsakes man, show a little humility. I don't have 7k and when I do I wouldn't pay 7k right away for it, when it's a whole hell of a lot more fun and interesting to try and go out and get the item from the mob that drops it. Maybe after a few weeks of trying and not getting it, I'd go buy but I'm going to put some effort into attempting to getting it.

Well. now my 48 ranger has finally started gettin good with his bow. I finally decided to get a new bow. so i got a double recurved velium bow (30 37). Now...arrows. i have low fletching skill so i thought..."gah" til i saw this tolans bracer. i got it too. so thats my unlimited DMG 3 arrows. Now off to use it. Its great. altho i really have to get more DEX items. only got 146 the now. I am using barbed ringmail atm. But 15 agi and dex is pimp! that 15 sex would help my archery lots. So me ish off to try and trade and make more cash to gets me this.,
Also i got a fleeting quiver. another 20% haste on bow hehe

Is exact same color as singing steel armor and has ringmail/banded look when worn.
Have a bard that is wearing this until we can afford the Singing Steel BP. Just bought the Singing Steel Greaves last night to finish the look. Much better than the dark blue Lambent armor.

If you take into account server pricing, would you rather have a Shissar Scale BP for about 10-11k or a Barbed Ringmail that normally sell for 4k? I guess its more of a what gives the best bang for the buck type question.
With agi bonus Shissar scale gets about roughly 32-33 AC (so 2-3+ AC), 15 dex vs 9 str, and 50 hitpoints vs 35hitpoints + 35mana (since I'm an SK the mana would be useful). It just comes down to whats better for the price 4k vs 10-11k.

---This is a small addendum: The number in your statistics called "AC" is, as you already know, two different numbers averaged together-- damage avoidance and damage mitigation. The 15 agility might only show a small addition to your number called "AC" but you will definately get hit less often. It is my personal opinion that 9 Strength off the other Breatplate is not of such great value considering that, during the high-end game, you usually have someome buffing your Strength. This is most common for Warriors and other (pure tanks) who often top their strength on raids, and yet have room to grow on Agility.

Are yo guys sure this drops? If it does it is UBER UBER rare. I have killed this guy at least 50 times over the last 7 weeks and no BP. GOt 4 Monk BPs in same time. Also never seen a Jawbone adn I have killed the Shatterd at least 20 times. This represents 7 weeks of play 10 hours a day 7 days a week or a total of about 500 hours played. Someowne said they took the Jawbone out of the game. Maybe they took this out too. Has anyone gotten one since the last patch?
Sold mine last night for 10kpp. It's an excellent BP, with the 15 agility making it around 32-33ac. On a male wood-elf it looks like turquoise/aqua colored chain.

On the bp it says -5agi. it is a ac20 +8str +20hp -5agi bp. Ok check when i put on a netherbian chittin ac20 +3str +10svf. i gain 3ac.... so that would be 9+ac fer me so it would actually be a ac39 bp but the thing is agi boost is all lvl related. So it is more later.

This weekend we were really lucky. A group consisting of me (60 druid), a 59 mage and a 56 SK were fighting outside of the temple and got this lovely piece of armor to drop for us twice in a row. I couldn't believe it. The mob spawned, had the headpiece, spawned maybe 45 minutes later with the BP and then spawned again no more than a half hour later with yet another BP. It was quite exciting!! I was able to give the second BP to my rogue (thanks to Sylvanna passing on it for me). THANKS SYLV!! It looks awesome on a female wood-elf too.

Milkybrat, if you are a high elf, wood elf or half elf, the elven mithril chain leggings have a light aqua color and look really nice with this BP.

just got this awsome BP today with 60nec, 54nec, 55monk, and me(58 dru). also got the grey flesh tunic for the monk. sense i been grey almost 2 and 1/2 weeks, and finally i can out of grey and move to other zone in Luclin to get items for my super twink Iksar war. ^_^

as an Iksar SK who still has his Dreadscale at 52, this would make a fine upgrade. its on par with the Greenmist and Barbed Ringmail BPs... guess ill start warming up my dice.

The AC is actually better than 30 with the 15 agi added in. I gave my iksar warrior this to try on when I first got it and compared it to the AC on the Legionaire Scale BP that drops in hate (has 33ac, no agi on it). I ended up have 1 point less ac wearing the Shissar BP then when I was wearing the Legionaire Scale BP.
So basicly, it's true AC value is almost like having a 33ac item in the chest slot :) Very nice for Rogues, Rangers, and Shaman who are looking to keep their AC up.

Well, I guess I really lucked out last night then. My first visit to The Grey and this dropped on our first time killing this guy. I was the lucky recipiant of this BP. A nice upgrade from my treeweave for a bard.

My group and I were working the Temple area last night and must have dropped Revenant Sthzzzizt a good 10 times. From that and the other named Revenant we recieved 6 cloaks, 3 helms and one belt. We never saw this BP, or any of the other shissar scaled items. The cloak is very common, and lore so everyone will end up with one and a few will rot before you see the BP most likely.

Me 54 Ranger and 59 druid were wiping the floor with these named revenants and also no tunic but he also drops gaunts and boots that aren't to shabby. The is easy to dot and root, just can't fear them. with the rarity of this drop. I think that 9k is really cheap

Why is it that all the new stuff thats comming in from Luclin only has the zone and not the mob that actualy drops the item? This makes it very difficult for me to look up this item and go get it with me guild.

This item drops off a named snake near the Temple entrance. Where the common mobs are called "A Shissar Revenant" this fella was called "Revenant Ssr-something".

Bought one of these on Veeshan today for 9k, not 100k. Its an awesome BP, nice stats, looks like Blue Chain (dragon armor), on a Ranger anyway.

i am a 53rd lvl ranger and i just happened upon this BP and i would love to wear it it has 5ac more than my tree weave, which i know of a 60th lvl ranger is still wearing, and has good stats to boot. I personally would love to sport one of these nice jackets

Not everyone has super equipment, even past level 50. Usually people think they do, because they are a huge player. Not the case. Yes more then 50% do, but some people don't. I know a few people who are 50+ who still use a Lockjaw Hide Vest. Does that mean they suck? Nah, they still kick butt. Just the oportunity in either time or groups to get nice equipment hasn't happened yet. Do they get frustrated and stop playing? Nah.
This is one hell of a breastplate, but for those only really needing agi/dex. Great AC too btw.
I don't feel this would be for any specific class. Heck, even my Paladin would use it. I got 225 str and 85agi/90dex. I need those up pretty bad and I can loose the str off my current bp if I really wanted to.

Update. We had two groups in the Grey this weekend and this dropped. I traded in my Barbed Ringmail for the chance to loot. I no have more than 75 AGI and it improved my unbuffed AC by 14pts. I'm pretty stoked about it.

It says the level to get this item is 54th. By then you should either have a Breastplate from a Plane or a Velious quest one. The only reason that I can see for someone to wear this one is for the +Agi. There is a huge AC penalty for having an Agi below 75. After that only 1 AC point per 6 points of Agi.

I am so sick of people in uber guilds that plane,ToV,and kael raid every day say items like this arnt good for a lvl 54 person. I am lvl 55 and the only plane armor i have is thorny vine greaves which arnt very good but i still wear em for the look and also because i cant afford the insane prices that higher AC leggs sell for. To the average person this BP more than likely take them to lvl 60. Not to mention that even if you do go on plane raids BPs arnt exactly a common drop and also chances are you will be rolling on it against other people.
Anyhow i was lucky enough to get this BP today and was very happy to get rid of my barbed ringmail for this item. I lose some STR but i dont even worry about it as most of the time i am grouped with a shaman and str is easy to get from buffs. As a ranger the extra 15agi and 15dex is very nice as well. Any extra agi i can get for more ac is very welcome.
A little mob info. The mob that dropped this was lvl 55 as he conned even to me. He was a named snake around the outside of the temple, was revenat shizzzzar or somethign alogn those lines. we had a full group of 6 all 50+ and he was very easy. we killed him 2 times, first time cloak dropped 2nd time BP, i hear its rare drop so maybe we got lucky
on a side note i see that there is a bp, cloak, gaunts, boots and other items but NO GREAVES? kinda crappy that they drop a bunch of other armor peices but no matching leggs. looks just liek barbed ringmail on a female wood elf except it has a blue/green color, looks nice but would look better with the matchign leggs hehe if the exist anyway
also if you come here the snake guys drop organs every once in awhile. they are no drop, if you get 3 of them you can turn them in to a NPC in katta and recive a neck peice that has 10str and also permanent enduring breath which is very handy if you fight in this zone as their is no air to breath so make sure if yopu come here looking for this BP you bring plenty of fish scales with you : )
i would like to personally thank the guild i am in, DIVINE LEGEND on terris thule server, for helping me obtain this BP. But no thanks to Bigoos for his ogre lap dances and obsenly large rear, and also him going LD and his pet randomly attackign me in the middle of battle lol

Anyhow i was lucky enough to get this BP today and was very happy to get rid of my barbed ringmail for this item. I lose some STR but i dont even worry about it as most of the time i am grouped with a shaman and str is easy to get from buffs. As a ranger the extra 15agi and 15dex is very nice as well. Any extra agi i can get for more ac is very welcome.
A little mob info. The mob that dropped this was lvl 55 as he conned even to me. He was a named snake around the outside of the temple, was revenat shizzzzar or somethign alogn those lines. we had a full group of 6 all 50+ and he was very easy. we killed him 2 times, first time cloak dropped 2nd time BP, i hear its rare drop so maybe we got lucky
on a side note i see that there is a bp, cloak, gaunts, boots and other items but NO GREAVES? kinda crappy that they drop a bunch of other armor peices but no matching leggs. looks just liek barbed ringmail on a female wood elf except it has a blue/green color, looks nice but would look better with the matchign leggs hehe if the exist anyway
also if you come here the snake guys drop organs every once in awhile. they are no drop, if you get 3 of them you can turn them in to a NPC in katta and recive a neck peice that has 10str and also permanent enduring breath which is very handy if you fight in this zone as their is no air to breath so make sure if yopu come here looking for this BP you bring plenty of fish scales with you : )

also its not no drop so its like the ultimate twink breastplate. (well maybe not ultimate, but still uber)

Just a reminder that not everyone level 54 has Planar Breastplates, nor Quest BP's. Even if you belong to a good guild. The best I have managed is the Barbed Ringmail I got hand me down, when a 55 Paladin got a BP of the Righteous in Hate.

I'd be living proof of that. I was using Ivy Etched/RyGorr at level 53, on the *very* kill that dinged me to 54 a Barbed Ringmail BP dropped, and I won the random ;)
So now, still at 54 I'm wearing that (No Thornyvine/Quest BP for me yet). Although if I had the chance, I'd gladly trade it in for one of these tunics... if only for the cool blue look ;)

so a ranger with a thorny vine brestplate AC 26 wouldnt give it up for this?? about the only thing better for a ranger is the velious quest BP's and they are not the easyest things to get. most rangers use a treeweave till they can get something better and this is a good upgrade in my book.

Actually, if I get the chance to loot a Thorny Vine BP it'll automatically become my main BP. There are different kinds of people who play EQ, myself I am a Roleplayer... so fashion comes before functionality most of the time. If I could get my half elf in full green plate, I could die a happy ranger.
Getting back on topic though, I actually have a shissar scaled BP now :) Made a deal with the Barbed Ringmail to a friend, and now I'm back in with the ivy etched look ;)

Sadly, you can't actually delete a post. You could email Illia and ask him to remove it, but I'd guess he's pretty busy just now.
What you can do, is edit your post and either:
[li]Delete the content of the comment and leave it blank. (And deny any knowledge of what was there.)
or
[li]Edit you comment with with either a completely new remark, or a disclaimer explaining that you didn't notice. *Grin*

Personally, I'm inclined to think that any Iksar kitted out in a suit of armour made from the the remains of a fallen Shissar would be cool.

Me (57 druid epic) and a monk (60 epic) duoed to kill the revenat sthzzzizt I had to be at full mana and chain heal. He doesn't hit hard buf hits fast. Took me from FM to about 30m at end of fight. HE dropped Shissar scaled gloves 12 ac 5 wis 5 int 25 mana 25 hp if i remeber right. Just adding the lil info i know about this guy.

This was dropped by Revenant Sthzzzizt in The Grey. He spawned near a pyramid somewhere near 0, 0. He also dropped Shissar Scale Boots on a prior kill, so I suspect this is his rare.
