I am not sure if its really needed to do the final combine...I did everything proper and have the all the combined bases... I zoned and am currently sitting in Crystallos without the final combie done. I beleive the task advances are more important(real) key. Also for the below post: You can put your old keys in a bag and leave it on a corpse till it goes to shadowrest...that way its not taking up inventory space but you can still retreive it.

OK. There's the "Proper" way to do this.. which requires that you hold 4 Container Base parts before you get the Essences from the Golem Pools. But if you're a die-hard Tradeskiller and have a full inventory of combine containers, patterns, special tools, etc... and have learned that "having faith" has caused loss of keyring items, so you have all of your key's still (in case the system loses them).. and have gone thru all of the zones since Freeport doing the quests and key's.. you simply DONT have room to store 4 more containers while you get the Essence pieces.
Dont try to. I was forced to do it this way..
Keep a 10 slot container to hold the essences. Do the hails and pre-steps for the Essence pieces.. then do the kills and loot all 10 Essences and keep them in the one 10 slot bag.
Now go on the hunt for the easy 3 Bases. As you get each one, put in the proper essences and do the combines. Now you'll have 3 combined parts and 3 Essences in your storage bag. Do the steps to get MMM key. Put that in the same bag. Go into MMM and work your way to the room with the last base, get it.. do the final Base combine.
Do the last hail for the Container to combine the 4 Base items.. Combine.. Done.
The list for the "Our Lost Brother" tasks will update automatically and you have your key. Total Main inventory slots needed .. one + the 10 slot bag that you used to hold the Essences.. whcih you probably had anyway.
After all this.. you'll have "Beyond the Barrier", Exploring Crystallos, and "Search for the Ultimate Story" that you'll be able to finish during raids and normal grouping.
Hope this info helps those who are nervous about following the task list to the letter. It works.
