I was thinking about purchasing this for my rogue. he already has an Exquisite velium spear in his primary (12/20) and in my secondary the 12 damage is great but the +15 str is awsome that would put me up to around 175 str and in my opinion i would rock then good day to all.

I am a lvl 35 rogue and have a few good peircers to choose a good combination from. Im not sure what would be the best combination so if any of you could help that would be greatly appreciated. I currently own these:
Blood Point
Hardened Bone Spear
Locustlure
Jagged Ice Shard
Rabid Chokidai Fang
Being lvl 35 none of them proc yet. I like the Fang in primary for BS, max is 278. Is there any other peircer I could buy that would give me a more effective combo than any of these could? Once again any input would be greatly appreciated.

farm cash for a bile drenched main-gauche and use it and the bloodpoint until 50 or so then u should try for planes weps

anyone know what lvl you start getting the dmg bonus on this weapon
bonus is calculated as current lvl-25 then divide by 3
example lvl 30 would be 30-25=5 then/3 =1.6666 or 1 but lvl 31 would be 2
so using this as a formula the first lvl you should get damage bonus would be 28.

I have Hardened Bone Spear and Shadow Rager, with 130 dex the shadow rager procs atleast 6 times a battle, absorbing lots of dmg and giving 20

Ok I got a Trak Tooth ( 10/20 ) in prim and Locustlure ( 8/17 ) In secondary and I backstab for 130 or so at level 41 I've seen backstabs for 230+ with this so that 2 dmg and 15str is GIANT difference, I'd say save up for this crap and get shadow rager in secondary and you OWN

What is the approximate loc of this guy? I was told to the left of the Mons Let zone- wandered all around there and never saw him.

Just confirming this drops off Crusader Kezzal. he's not tough, prolly 51ish hits for max 140 and can be found in middle of a field of undying iksar's (that hit for 165) and rockfiends. pulling him and getting him solo is the hardest part =)

I picked up one of these for my lvl 35 kitty rogue and with this spear and a tbb he backstabbed a critter for 232 dmg... I will be using this til I get high enough that shaman buffs negate the need for the 15 str myself.

I am dualwielding this spear together with a Longsword of Ethereal Energy at the moment. It's a great combo, my best backstab with this weapon was for 297 damage so far.

went to the grey for the first time last night with my usual four 60 sk, 57 druid, 60 chanter, and me 59 cleric. ran out from the zone to look around, stopped to kill a regular skellie there and got ambushed by like 8 mobs. druid died, chanter zoned with 0 hps and got put on other side of next zone, i zoned, and sk somehow got FD off holding the crusader (which im not sure where he was) at the zone. i came back in and we killed. Most off the mobs we came across, crusader as well, seem to have low Hps but hit very hard and fast. anyway my rogue cant wait to have this thing )) he was blue to 60 and blue to 57 so he had to be around low 50's. good luck getting yours!

I like this one. I could dual wield it with Harpoon of the Depths and have Orc Impaler in range slot (when not using my bow). I could be one bad ass piercing weapon ranger with good items in all 3 slots with good adds. I will try to get one or purchase one.

GIVE THIS WEAPON TO A ROGUE!! This might be a better weapon than some of you have but for you other classes, sell it and get a good 1hs. This should DEFINATELY! go to a Rogue no questions asked. And if you happen to get this item it would be a GREAT reason to make a rogue because up until around level 45 there are no better piercers you could get your hands on unless you have 7k plat in da bank.

Put it this way, I was born before man landed on the moon and I played D&D almost from the time when it came out. I can remember when the Dungeon Master Guide and the Players Manual were one black and white magazine.
What I am trying to say is I don't give a flying rat's ass about the best combo possible. I don't care about max damage and all that crap. I rarely twink, these are the weapons I have. God almighty man, you are level 51. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand you wouldn't use that combo. I happen to think this combo would look great on my ranger. For the "crappy" weapons I have it would be pretty good adds for me. I am broke (but a Master Fletcher) and still wear some banded. Do you understand? When I eventually get a better weapon than the Harpoon of the Depths to put in my primary, then I will do that. Please stop trashing posts you have too small of a mind to understand. If it is possible, try to have some fun and help some people out. To me, you are a disgrace to rangers. If you feel so strongly about how dumb I am, then why not give me something better? I'm not even bashin ye for havin a Harpoon of the Depths and an Orc Impaler (myself at lvl 30, I strolled into Frontier Mnts and SWORE I was the sh*t with my 6/22 SSoM main hand and my Sap of Piety in the off, hehe).
** What I'm bashin ye for is ** the audacity yer showin by merely SUGGESTING a "fruity" pairing of your Harpoon with this 12/25 weapon! Since the Harpoon is primary hand only, you'd be dishonoring the superior bone-spear weapon by putting it in yer off.
And your reason for doing this unholy combo is " STFU, noob! I r rolplayr! " ?
When you finally get your hands on the new spear, I'm almost certain you'll be thinkin along the lines of "Harpoon of the Jigga-Wha? Bah! Who needs that?"
To look at this matter at a slightly different angle... it seems this spear may be selling for about 6k plat for the first few Luclin months, then maybe it'll drop down to 3k plat. Where j00 gonna git dat kinda money, hah ?

== The Bandit-Sash Quest (in North Qeynos): At your current level, you can do this quest and make a little over 100 platinum a play-session easily. Solo, you may hunt/farm the bandits in WK, NK or SK and save their sashes. Your reward for each sash is faction, experience and, more importantly, a bronze weapon (that can sell for 2 to 3 plat to vendors). Some bad stuff about this quest is a) it's boring...hack/slash bandits till your eyes bleed and b) not much xp, unless you hunt in NK and snare-fear griffons (between routine bandit-stompings).
== Runnyeye: Bring a group of friends around your level and hunt the final floor of Runnyeye! Fast xp, decent armor/weapon loot and, even in group, you can also make over 100 plat a night here.

Okay. Thank you. Sorry about that. I was arguing with my girlfriend when I was posting that day. Of course, I am not blaming her, I was the one ranting and raving in more ways than one. I may just hit Rathe Mountains for awhile also and kill giants.

I don't know your level, but if you're in the 40's or higher, I recommend killing the seafury cyclopses in OOT. You can also take out Gornit at that same island. He's a solo spawn on the shore and drops descent pp most times. If you're a 'good' race and the woodelves like you, you can swim across to the Sister island and sell your wares. I can make 100pp per hour or so there, soloing with my necro.

It looks like +10 or more on a single stat will be much more common in Luclin than it was before. Should be interesting to see people having to juggle around items for big stat boosts now (rather than getting lots of little plusses).
If these values hold up, just about every class listed will want one. I sure want one for my barbarian Shaman, that's for sure. Please post the level of the crusader whenever anyone has time! Thanks
looking at the EQatlas info on the Grey I'd guess at minimum 40s, more like 50s for the mob that drops it
