I've killed the Chieftain like 20 times now, dropped nothing but a stick that procc'd Ritualistic Bloodlust the first like 15 times. Then I killed him twice last night and he dropped Ornate Shell Pestle-AC 5 +5 WIS +50 mana and the smudging stick consecutively
That's the Grimling Chief your thinking of not the name listed above. The Grimling chief also drops a nice 2hb 24/42 4wis 4sta 40mana 4ac procs:Quiksand clr dru shm bst
Name above is incorrect, the grimmling chieftan drops the staff of living sands, skull shaped sacrificial hammer, ceremonial smudging stick, and the bowl that was mentioned (it's actually a pestle). All are rare drops, and each seem to have the same chance of being his rare drop.
Just a thought, but I would expect this to be worth a lot more then what it says (6,000pp, 6/12/2001) I mean 10resists vs poison magic and fire, 30mana, 3wisdom and 3ac in a ranged slot, useable by all!! That is godly. I think that it should be worth more then that (or maybe it is very common???).
i killed this guy he was green to me at 53 but he had about 10 other guys around him the bodyguards where hitting in the 50s but im a caster so i have low ac. and the item dosen't drop every time.
I agree. Since it's all / all, great way for those non-RBF classes to grab some saves. AC is nice, and the inclusion of wisdom makes this very attractive to Wis-casters. However, anyone would do well to own one of these.
