Okay, got this earlier tonight and did some experimenting with moving armor class augs around to get it nearer to maxed stats. After several aug moves that turned a piece of gear into a multiple of 3 or 5, there was no stat increase.

From everything I gathered with the 3 times I moved an aug to make a piece of gear become a multiple it had zero effect, which leads me to believe the charm's stats check against the item's base Armor class only.

This could also be seen by noting that an item with 43 armor class, with a 10 AC aug, counted as a multiple. Since 43 is not a multiple this means it was going by the base stat of 33 which is.

No clue yet on whether it checks the modified or unmodified AC when you arent up to the full recommended level for a piece of gear.

Also checked to see how much an increase each added piece of gear adds.

With only the charm equipped: 15 AC, 182 hp/mana/end ( I suspect it may be getting a bonus from its own AC value, but am not certain on this )

With 1 gear multiple: 16 AC, 191 hp/mana/end

With 2 gear multiples: 17 AC, 200 hp/mana/end

It seems to give 1 ac and 8-9 hp per multiple by this pattern.

Any replies with better information or corrections are welcomed, its overly late and theres no telling if my math is even spot on at this point.

Guyyug,

Yes, the Bloodied Gnome Head has the type 3 augment slot as well as the type 7. Jaklor's Keyring only has the type 7 slot.

The in game Item Information reads: "Gains power for each piece of worn equipment which has an armor value that is a multiple of 3 or 5." Time to start moving all those AC augs around to max out the number of pieces you have which fulfill this requirement. Good luck, and maybe take an aspirin before for pre-emptive treatment of the inevitable headache. And does this requirement apply to the unmodified AC value of the item or the modified value based on the level of the wearer in the event of the wearer being less than the recommended level?

Opps, duplicate post. Now I know how it happens to others. Is this any different than the Bloodied Gnome Head https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=71078?

Only real difference is that the Bloodied Gnome Head has a type 3 aug slot to boot. Where this one only has 1 aug slot
