This book contains recipes
on the proper tinkering of
gnomish cultural armor.

It outlines the need for
starting with a tantalum or
exquisite silk template.
It will need some ossified
fortified bronze for chain
or plate and porous loam
with bituminous coal as a
fuel. It will need a
gnomish heat source to get
the coal to the proper heat
level. Additionally, for
chain, you will need some
gears and sprockets to make
it correct, or cogs and two
contraption parts to make
plate. It is shaped using
a mold that can be achieved
from instructions in
another book.



For cloth armor, it
outlines the need for using
ossified fortified bronze
thread and exquisite
spinneret fluid with water
and mythical filament. The
thread must be heated with
a gnomish heat source in
order to get it to the
state needed for this work.
It will additionally need
a metal fastening to work
it all together. It is
embroidered using a pattern
that can be achieved from
instructions in another
book.

This book is nowhere. I assume it is bugged. The merchants in Pok have no Elegant or Elaborate Gnomish Tinkering/Tailoring/Smithing books. There was somewhere a note that you have to have skill 300 for the books to show off. If that is really the case then it is a typical out-of-balance or better say USELESS tradeskill limit. The time you have the level to get the armor and the best possibility to get up tradeskills you better jump up some levels to avoid Elegant/Elaborate completely. The real stupid part is that I have the skills and material and quests done to be able to do that but I need to scribe the book to be able to make them (I get always in making that I need that).

Bugged/Petitioned that but at first GM he said I am right, that is a bug and gave it to the devs. The second petition after the last patch a next GM said, people before bought that. I know that because I bought that before as a woodelf and now as a gnome they are not there anymore (and not hidden to the "show it all" button).

If anybody has an idea so far or the same experience I would be happy for a note. It seems Gnomes are very disliked by SoE. He can't be so difficult to correct a merchant who had these books and now has NOTHING anymore in his inventory to sell but standing around in PoK as merchant... stupid...these quests and the collection of the items - what a big big waste of time...destroys the fun to roleplay a character instead of powerleveling it up....
