Stoopid question

Is the recipe for this just the normal field plate cloak w/ imbued diamond? Thanks.

Yes. As long as you truly meant "field" instead of "fine". :)
nice... but could be nicer

For all those working on smithing, I have to admit... this is quite a feat. Especially when you take into account the fact that you require imbued diamonds to attempt. The only thing I can say is I believe that the stats should be a little tweaked. FOr the ingredients needed and the high skill needed... you should definitely be rewarded with something just a little bit better... great items though and gratz on the successes!

Very big congrats... don't know that I would have had the nerve (g)

What were your stats when you did this? Do you have WIS/STR maxxed..?

I got, as I say, "Mad Stupid Lucky." My STR and WIS were not maxed by any stretch - STR was around 160, and my WIS was prolly around 110ish...

STR and WIS/INT only effect chances for skillups - only your skill level determines chance of success.

The magic moment has passed... last night making Angelsyn's Erollsi field plate I went; what was it, 3 for 8?

Yup... 3 for 8. But at least we got all three pieces in the end!
Luck...

This cloak was the last piece in an amazing four-piece run over three days...

Saturday night, I had four imbued diamonds and nine sheets of HQ metal and was hoping to at least get a pair of imbued field plate gauntlets made at my 196 skill...

I made the gaunts on that first try; my fifth at them.
I went and got the helm mold. Bam, got the helm AND a skillup.
Sunday I decided to try the pauldron twice. Only once was necessary.
Monday I still had one diamond left and three sheets. Decided to try this cloak, just for fun.

I was in shock... 4 for 4 on cultural plate is basically unheard of even at 240+ skill.

I'll never be that lucky again. But I'm happy. :)

So is my level 8 cleric who's wearing this cloak... :)

SKILL LVL REQUIRED?

Mightion did this in the 190's of skill.

He's a friend of mine and just recently made Boots, Vambraces & Breastplate (Erollisi Marr Imbued) for me.

Again, all with skill in the 190s.

I would suggest skill 200-210 for Imbued, 230 or so for Enchanted Full Plate.

Well, the imbued stuff never goes trivial ( so far as I know )... the cost of these things are so prohibitive I wouldn't start up til you're max skill ( 250 )... course, getting your skill to 250 is pretty prohibitive in itself...

Hehe, well that would be impossible though =) How would you suggest that a smith get from 242 to 250 skill? =P
