New Quest on 10/09/03

This is for a new quest that went live 10/09/03.

Great reward, but lots of effort.

Perhaps for a quest?
# Nov 06 2001 at 4:06 PM Rating: Decent
I'm looking at this and am seriously wondering if it's for a future quest. As a cleric I've ALWAYS had some type of wisdow item in my main hand. In Kith a +6 wis mace drops. It's free and a single group or less can kill the mobs that drop it.

This item, while 15AC, is for the most part difficult to obtain for the overall low stat bonuses.

Personally, I would put it in the bank and hope it's for a quest. It's pretty useless as a mainhand item.

You're a sad little boy. You've yet to log onto povar and introduce yourself btw ;)

While it's not much of a wis caster item, it's nice for int casters. Not many 15ac hand slot items, (primary hand?) and 200 int is trivial.

Too bad this isn't range =o)

Hell... I'm using a damn Crude Stein right now.. I'd use this if it dropped for my group and I won the roll.

I presume you are referring to this mace:
Ruined Battleworn Morning Star
Type, Slot Weapon, 1HB
Damage DMG: 7 DMG Bonus: 0 DLY: 33 DPS: 4.55
Boosts +6 WIS, -5 DR

And if you're trying to tell me that that is better than this you have seriously fell off something and landed on your head. The wisdom on this item is completely trivial anyway. If you are having trouble capping out your wisdom then get an enchanter buff. There are plenty of other alternatives that are easy to get with plenty of wis on them. The beauty of this item is the fact that not only does it have 15AC on it but also 35hp and 35mana. If you don't understand the significance or importance of such a stat I really have to wonder how you got to being a "High Priest" to begin with unless you were picked up ebayed. Wis is ridiculously easy to cap to begin with making +HP and +Mana items king in the end to go hand and hand with resist gear.

Only reason I wouldn't be using this item in either hand is that I'm using a Sprinkler of the Spirits and an OotIV. I would DEFINITELY shelve my Crystal Chitin Shield back in the old days for this item, however.

True to form, someone has a difficult time disagreeing without being a jackass.

If you think I'm ebay, how about you log onto povar tonite and send me a tell. I'll be on Apallohadas, Tough Guy. If it'll make you feel better I have my epic in one hand and a Shield of the Elders in the other. Perhaps between hits on the crack pipe you could look up the stats.

On to why I mentioned the RBMS. Look at where it drops if you can take 5 minutes from the full time job of being a jerk. Kith Forest at night. Often they simply rot. Look at where this SUBPAR item drops. Chardok. A zone frequented by 50+ characters and guilds on raids.

A low level cleric can easily get a RMBS on their own ability by walking over there and hanging out.

In the future, try to REALLY be a Big Tough Guy and debate instead of being a prick.
#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 07 2001 at 7:04 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) No, the other guy is right. If you're level 60 and whining about 200 wisdom, then, you are not fulfilling the role of playing a cleric very well at all.

Hail Moron!

WTF are you babbling on about? Please share with the rest of the class.

1) If you have a disc, you're obviously not a cleric. Twit.
2) What does ANY of this have to do with either the item in question, where it drops, or resistances? Did you look at the item or did you just feel like spewling your lunch randomly?
3) What does this have to do with the GM events for Halloween? I really wonder why you bothered to share your tale of glory with us.
4) Please quote where I whined about 200 wisdom. If you feel better, my wisdom is 225 and drops to 205 in resistance armor. My AC is still over 1K even with BD gear replacing ears, bracers and rings.
5) Your own words here: "My heat resistance, when buffed, has hit 198, but I've never fought and large encounter that is fire based (nagafen, for example) so can't comment on that yet."

WHAT ARE YOU BABBLING ABOUT?

Do us all a favor, look at the item and what's been said next time. Then if your mother lets you stay up past 6pm, try to engage in a discussion instead of the obvious pissing contest you've engaged in your own little mind.

What's wrong with some of you that you don't know how to DISCUSS without being a moron?

I'm done with this since neither you or the other flamer bothered to log onto povar and talk to me. I'll be on longer this weekend if nothing interesting is up and you want to send hate messages to my ignore filter.

I agree about the hitpoint/resists. THis is nice item, but depends on what is in your other slots. Ruined batteworn morning star as an alternative to this is laughable though. I agree with you on that also. Not sure if I would use it or not. Definitely not going looking for it.
The ac makes it great
# Nov 06 2001 at 5:07 AM Rating: Default
15 ac in main hand. I would love to use this AND my sarnak battleshield at the same time.

The stats are just an added bonus.
Lame

Might as well just get a Sarnak Battleshield here.
lot of items in game...
# Nov 05 2001 at 7:30 PM Rating: Default
lot of items in gam aren't obtainable at the level that would most likely get the most use out of em. is quite likely that it is an item to give to lower guildies or sell, or possibly give to someone who had weak itme in that slot already. lot of ppl at 50 have WAY more than 200 int/wis, but many just want cool item, or, as you mentioned, more HP. then again, is quite possible that this item is meant to give/sell to lower players. many items are merely to sell to merchants so ... why not?

thus i fail to your point.

This book is not needed by the librarian in the Shadow Knight guild in East Cabilis as far as I know. Another book drops off Loremaster Piza`Tak in Chardok that is called "The History of Greenmist" (whether or not you cast Identify on it), and is to be given to the librarian as the first part of the quest for Greenmist. However, who knows? Maybe the librarian might give out more than one quest and this book is used. /shrug

Once any caster starts to get over 200 Int or Wis, the focus on upgrades for them becomes AC, Resists, and Mana, to varying degrees. By the time any caster gets this item, they will most likely have several High stat increase items boosting their Int/Wis, like GEBS or an Emerald Dragonscale BP (for wis casters). With that in mind, the AC, HP, and Mana on this are NICE. Sure it has less Wis than say, a Testament of Vanear, but that 7 or 8 less Wis translates to under 20 mana if the stat is over 200. I can see players using this easily in the 50-60 range, myself.

well we raided tonight and I passed on the range item that had 10 int and other stats so i could roll on this. I like the ac and the hp and mana for primary I use a drachnid thyxyl in secondary which has 50 mana 5 int and mr so being lvl 56 and over 200 int anyway this is a nice item to hold for now. Easy to get range items and secondary but not a primary slash secondary with ac btw my secondary has ac forgot amount on it but it all helps at this lvl.
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 05 2001 at 7:00 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i know this a a really nice item, but let's be realistic fo a moment, Clerics? i think not especially at this lvl, I mean a lvl 50 better have something better than this (unless they have capped their wis and want some mana ac and hp incase of aggro) Dru. seriously doubt and lvl 50 druid would want this, shm same deal, Nec, Wiz Mag lol lol hahahahahaha! don't think so, enchanter well that's kinda the same deal as cleric. The only reason that i see a class at lvl 50 would want this, is A) plane simple stupididty (ironic how i spell isn't it?) B) mana hp and ac, but let's get back to REAL life, and say this a a twink item. Feel free to flame this is just my oppinion
