Speaking of Beastlords, does anyone know if they are a plate class? I mean like a twink wearing plain old Fine Plate? Would like to know before the expansion, as I, like everyone else plans to have a BL twink.

They are going to be able to be bards and warriors, so I assume they will be able to wear plate :)

beastlord is a class not a race... just because a human warrior can wear plate doesn't mean a human mage can. so to answer your question, beastlords will not be able to wear plate because they are a shaman monk hybrid. therefore, they will be a leather class.

they aren't really hybrids of shammies cuz they don't have heals or any buffs really all they get is 1 base pet spell and their buffs for each new level will turn them into a higher level pet of with better stats and better attack rate. they will also get some spells infrequently much like mages that can haste, kinda like burnout. they seem more like a mage that can't nuke more than anything else and seem like they won't be many past lvl 20 ;-)

Look very closely at the spell list and you will find many shaman spells, yes they are a hybrid. They also wear leather. If you see a leather drop in either KD or ToV they will say Dru, Mnk, Bst. This means that they are a Leather wearing class.

FYI Fayk, Iksars can be warriors and sk as well yet they still can not wear plate. (Except some special magical plate armour) I wouldn't say anything in the absolute yet. Maybe they can wear plate maybe not, but i'm not going to know until the SoL expansion comes out.

if you look at some armor it will show what vah'shir can wear, the singing steel armor can be worn by vah'shir bards.
