The devs resolved the stacking conflict back around April 2008:

This spell when it wears off gives your pet an extra umph for attacking and haste for a mere 30 seconds after it wears off. That's great but it doesn't work right.
I posted this on the dev boards as well but just to let you know. Before you waste any money on it. This spell will OVERWRITE your pets current haste. So a 30 second haste spell can take it's place and then you have to re-haste your pet!? Isn't that nice?
The new haste costs 757 mana, so enjoy yourselves until this all gets fixed.
Open up wide, Sony is taking a sh*t in your mouth. This is the second beastlord spell I've found lacking so far. Why do we have a test server again?

What exactly do they do on test? Because they AREN'T TESTING ANYTHING!

The spell that pops up when this spell wears off is called "Rage of Tri'Qaras" and if you add it to your pet's blocked spells then it won't overwrite the other haste spells. Its a good work around till they patch it. It still should be fixed tho, I agree.
